KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: KWC.
Model: PT92
Materials: Almost entirely all Metal.
Weight: 2.4 pounds (1089 grams).
Barrel: 4.5 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: 12 gram CO2.
Action: Semi and full auto, single and double action with full blowback.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 27 rounds full size drop out metal magazine.
FPS: 388 using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is good in both single and double action. Of course in single action the trigger is much shorter and lighter but that said double action is still very usable. Once you fire a round in either double or single action the blowback action will continue to cock the hammer back allowing for single action followup shots.

Accuracy: The KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol performed OK during my Field Test Shooting review in terms of accuracy. I shot it first in semi auto to get a sense of the overall accuracy and in terms of elevation it was right in the middle of the target. I did find the shots spread out a bit side to side perhaps as much as 4-5 inches during my test grouping. As expected when I flipped the happy switch to full auto the KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol pretty much sprayed the target working its way up as the recoil from the full auto blowback action lifted the barrel. In terms of power the KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol shot pretty hot, I was using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s and was still able to achieve close to 400 fps.

Watch my Field Test Shooting Video for the KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol for more shooting details.

Build Quality: The KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol like the other all metal KWC made Beretta 92 or Taurus PT92 copies out there being sold under different company names, is a good value blowback Beretta Taurus Airgun no matter which version you get. It’s not the best or worst, right about in the middle but most of the bugs have been worked out since it came out just after the KWC 1911 line and that’s been out for some time now. I find the finish does come off a bit easy but when this happens it kind of gives the Airgun a more realistic and slightly worn in look to it.

Realism: The KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a One to One replica of the real steel Taurus PT92 and does a great job at replicating it. You would be hard pressed to see any differences in the Airgun version versus the 9mm caliber firing version until you pick one up and work the parts a bit. Even so pretty much all the mechanical parts work the same as a real steel Taurus PT92 including the ability to filed strip the Airgun version and gain access to the hop-up and other internal parts.

Pros:

  • All metal construction.

  • Full length blowback action with nice heavy recoil.

  • Accurate Taurus PT92 replica.

  • Single and double action triggers both feel good.

  • Double stack style metal magazine holds the CO2 and Airsoft BB’s.

  • No ugly white writing ( warning instructions) on the gun.

  • Fully filed strippable.

  • Adjustable Hop-up.

  • Recessed barrel for added realism.

  • FPS is fairly high for a full blowback gun.

Cons:

  • Finish on KWC guns can wear off quickly in the high spots but has gotten better over the years.

  • Full blowback action especially when in full auto mode will eat up a lot of CO2.

Comments: If you are a Beretta 92 or Taurus PT92 fan than I am sure you have already taken a look at the KWC line of Beretta 92 and Taurus PT92 Airguns, maybe in a steel BB version or Airsoft version? KWC first offered it in this PT92 style and then later brought out a more true to form Beretta 92 version. Depending on where you live and which model you buy you may or may not have the full auto feature but to be honest full auto is fun at first but then you realize you don’t really hit much with it and just end up wasting a lot fo CO2 and BB’s. Checkout our Replica Airguns Canada and US Stores for all the different versions and models of this KWC Beretta and Taurus style Airgun.

KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: KWC.
Model: M1911
Materials: Almost entirely all Metal.
Weight: 1.97 pounds (894 grams).
Barrel: 4.5 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: 12 gram CO2.
Action: Semi auto, single action only with full blowback.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 14-15 rounds full size drop out metal magazine.
FPS: 360+.

Trigger Pull: The Single Action Only trigger pull on the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is exactly as it should be and just like what you would find on a real steel Colt 1911 pistol. That would be short, light and crisp. As there is no double action mode, you are required to rack the slide back to chamber a rounds and cock the hammer for the first shot, afterwards the blowback action will do this for you.

Accuracy: I wasn’t overly impressed with the accuracy of the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol when I tested it out in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Range but it is what it is. The M1911 shot really high and a bit loose getting about a 5 inch 10 shot grouping, perhaps a hop-up adjustment was in order but this is how it shot right out of the box which is how I test all my Airguns. In terms of power the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was bang on shooting .25 gram Airsoft BB’s at right around 350 fps.

Watch my Field Test Shooting Video for the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol for more shooting details.

Build Quality: The KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol like the other all metal KWC made 1911’s out there being sold under different company names, is a good value Blowback 1911 Airgun no matter which version you get. It’s not the best or worst, right about in the middle but most of the bugs have been worked out since this is one of the longes CO2 1911’s out there and for the most part has stayed about the same. I find the finish does come off a bit easy but when this happens it kind of gives the 1911 Airgun a more realistic and slightly worn in look to it.

Realism: The KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a One to One replica of the real steel M1911 A1 and does a great job at replicating it. You would be hard pressed to see any differences in the Airgun version and the .45 caliber firing version until you pick one up and work the parts a bit, even so pretty much all the mechanical parts work the same as a real steel M1911 A1 including the ability to filed strip the Airgun version and gain access to the hop-up and other internal parts.

Pros:

  • All metal construction.

  • Full length blowback action with nice heavy recoil.

  • Accurate Colt M1911 A1 replica.

  • Single action only trigger feels good, short light and crips.

  • Accurate trigger design and working grip safety.

  • Metal magazine holds the CO2 and 14-15 Airsoft BB’s.

  • No ugly white writing (warning instructions) on the slide of the gun.

  • Fully filed strippable.

  • Adjustable Hop-up.

  • Recessed barrel for added realism.

  • FPS is just about perfect, just over 360 fps using .20 gram BB’s, not too powerful but Canada import friendly.

Cons:

  • Finish on KWC guns can wear off quickly in the high spots but has gotten better over the years.

  • Full blowback action will eat up a lot of CO2.

Comments: I have always been a fan of the 1911 pistol and the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is no exception to this. Like all of the KWC 1911’s out there being redistributed by the big airgun companies the KWC version is really no different other than more simple KWC branding and with no licensing on the Airgun to speak of. Some people prefer the cleaner look to it and some will like to have licensed versions, to each their own. Do some looking around on our website and find a KWC made 1911 you like best, perhaps a simple KWC M1911 A1 like the one reviewed here or maybe a more tactical version with all the more modern updates to it like a rail, ambidextrous controls and tactical triggers and hammers.

KWC M1911 and PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

If you have not already watched my Preview video for both of these Airsoft pistols then make sure to watch that video for details and specifications along with some nice tight shots of each Airsoft gun.

Another multi gun Field Test Shooting Review, in this Indoor Sea Can Field Test Shooting Video I test out the KWC M1911 and PT92 Full Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistols. I first place 5 6mm .25 gram plastic Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph to find out what the real world velocity is for each Airsoft Pistol and then I perform my accuracy test where I shoot multiple rounds into a paper target 30 feet down range to see how close of a grouping I can get with each Airgun. I use a seated and rested shooting position to eliminate as much human factor as possible. By the way is used a brand new 12 gram CO2 and the temperature was 25 degrees Celsius (77 degree Fahrenheit) inside the Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range.

Starting with the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol I averaged 351 fps with the fastest shot being 353 and the slowest shot 345, so very consistent for sure! Accuracy for the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol could have been a bit better, I had to adjust my aim point to just under the bottom rings and even so the KWC M1911 wanted to shoot high, I was able to get around a 5 inch 10 shot grouping but was hoping for a bit better.

Next I tested out the KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol which does have a full auto option. For the velocity portion of my Field Test the KWC PT92 did shoot a bit after than the MWC M1911 getting an average fps of 388 with the fastest shot hitting 396 and the slowest shot at 383 so again very consistent performance. Since the KWC PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is capable of full auto shooting I decided to shoot 5 rods on my paper target to get a base accuracy and this resulted in a bit of a lateral spread fairly close to the bullseye about 4-5 inches apart. I then did a mag dump and as expected pretty much sprayed 6mm Airsoft BB’s all over the place but most shot a bit high and to the left probably because of the blowback recoil action.

The KWC M1911 and PT92 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols are both classic Airguns and great options if your looking for a 1911 or Beretta styled Airgun to add to your collection without all the markings and white writing on them.

KWC Update Video - 24/7 Blowback BB - 24/7 BB - 2022 BB - PT92 Airsoft - M1911 Airsoft

You’ve seen them all before but have you seen them in this exact configuration? All the Airguns I show off in this video are made by KWC and generally come in either Steel BB and or Airsoft versions along with non-blowback and blowback versions. You can even find most of them redistributed by other companies like Umarex, Cybergun, Gletcher, Crosman and others even licensed in some cases.

The versions I am showing today I have not review yet in these exact configuration and all of them are the KWC made and distributed unlicensed versions, so nice and clean with virtually none of that ugly white lettering on them…

ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

Make sure to check out my Table Top Video and Written Review for the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol where I go over the features and specifications along with some nice close up video.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I shoot the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol in my indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the actual velocity is and also see how well it will group shooting 10 Airsoft BB’s at a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s for my testing purposes with Propane Gas as my propellant. The temperature inside the Sea Can was around 26 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit).

I started off my Field Test Shooting video with the Chronograph portion of my test and placed 5 shots through my Chrony using a brand new 12 gram CO2 cartridge. I have to mention the fps consistency was very impressive with all five shots only varying within 6 fps of each other the slowest being 330 fps and the fastest test shot being 336 fps. My end 5 shot average fps was 33fps again using a .25 gram Airsoft BB.

I then loaded my ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol with 10 rounds for the accuracy portion of my test and was able to get all 10 shots within a nice 2 inch grouping. The shot placement was well centered left to right and a little bit high on target which I am sure could be adjusted for using the hop-up.

The ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a rally nice Airsoft pistol, it has a great trigger with a firm blowback action. The super consistent fps is pretty much exactly where you want it to be, just powerful enough to allow for Canada import but not too powerful for Airsoft gaming. The accuracy was also very good right out of the box so pretty much nothing to complain about in terms of performance. Another nice Airsoft product from ASG!

Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

Make sure to check out my Table Top Video and Written Review for the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol where I go over the features and specifications along with some nice close up video.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I shoot the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol in my indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the real world velocity is and also how well it will group shooting 10 rounds at a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s for my testing along with Propane Gas. The temperature inside the sea can was around 26 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit).

Because the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol coms with both a shorter internal barrel and a screw on extended barrel designed to be hidden inside a mock suppressor I thought it would make sense to test both the short and long barrels to see what the fps difference would be. With the short internal barrel I shot 4 rounds and average 255 fps. I then added the longer barrel extension again shooting 4 rounds but this time I averaged 363 fps so a good 100+ fps faster with the longer barrel attachment added to the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol.

For my accuracy portion of the testing I left the extended barrel on the gun but was a bit disappointed in my 10 shot grouping. The Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol did not get the tightest of groupings coming in at around 5 inches. It also shot a little bit to the right but vertically was fairly well centered. Perhaps changing up the barrels and lengths might make a difference?

I did really like the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol, it has a really light trigger that is a bit hard to find the release point, the blowback action is crisp but not overly heavy. I’m pretty sure the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a VFC product so the quality is bang on. Other than the grouping being a little bit spread out I really liked everything about the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol.

ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: ASG
Model: CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel.
Materials: Metal and polymer construction.
Weight: 2.3 Pounds (1050 grams).
Barrel Length: 4.4 inches (11.2 cm).
Total Length: 9 Inches (22.9 cm).
Propulsion: CO2
Action: Single and double action.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity: 25 round magazine.
Max FPS: 376 fps.

Trigger Pull: The ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol has a single and double action trigger setup. Both feel pretty decent, the double action trigger pull is a little on the heavy side but you won’t really be shooting in double action all that much since the blowback action will cock the hammer between shots allowing for the vast majority of your shots to be single action which you will find are short and very light. There is a slight bit of take-up followed by a crisp very light release.

Accuracy: So far I have not made my Field Test Shooting Video for the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. Check back shortly for my upcoming Field Test Shooting Video for the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol, until then the shooting results will remain a mystery but if this product is like otter ASG products it should produce good results for me .

Build Quality: The build quality of the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is what I would expect from an ASG Airgun. The materials used look good and have an excellent finish to them. Slide wiggle is very minimal and all the mechanical parts feel solid and responsive. You will find metal parts where you would expect them to be like in the slide, barrel components, magazine, slide catch release take-down leaver, safety, hammer, trigger, rear sight, magazine release and lots of other internal parts.

Realism: In terms of realism the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is an excellent copy of the real steel CZ P-09 with all the markings and licensing in all the right places. Mechanically everything works about the same including full field strip-ability and the ability to add a mock suppressor if you want to.

Pros:

  • Build quality feels really goods, lots of weight to this Airsoft Pistol.

  • Full length blowback action.

  • Accurate licensed CZ P-09 replica.

  • Trigger pull is nice in both single and double action.

  • Picatinny rail for adding accessories like a tac light or laser.

  • Double stack full size drop out Metal Magazine holds the CO2 and 25 Airsoft BB’s

  • Comes with black and orange tips depending on what you prefer to use.

  • Easy to see white dot front and back sights.

  • CO2 powered makes it easy for Canada import.

  • Easily Filed Strippable.

  • Tips are easy to remove for the addition of a mock compensator.

  • Adjustable Hop-up.

Cons:

  • Sights don’t seem to be adjustable.

  • Controls are not all ambidextrous.

Comments:
The ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is another great addition to the ASG CZ line of Airguns. You can now get CZ Replica Airguns from ASG in a variety of models including the CZ 75D, CZ 75 P-07 Duty, CZ 75D Compact and of course the CZ P-09 in Airsoft, Steel BB and even Pellet firing ammunition. I would say the ASG CZ P-09 Threaded Barrel CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is probably one of the most realistic in terms of looks, action and functionally but no matter what your preferences is, ASG will have something for you in the CZ lineup of Airguns for sure!

Comments:
The Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really great looking gun. The quality is on par with KWA and KJ Works in my opinion. I’m not sure who actually makes it as Cybergun is the license holder and distributer but I feel like the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a step up from the standard KWC gun often used as the base. I look forward to testing out the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Sea Can indoor Airgun Shooting range to see how it performs. I’ll be testing with the short barrel and with the barrel extension installed to see what the fps difference is between the two.

Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun Field Test Review

Make sure to watch my Table Top view for the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun where I take a closer look a talk about the specifications and go over the Pros and Cons.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun to see what the fps velocity is when shooting in 3 and 6 round burst modes. I also shoot a target 30 feet away again in both 3 shot burst and 6 shot burst mode tor see what the accuracy and groupings look like.

Starting with the velocity performance of the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun. Using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s I placed several shots through my chronograph in 3 shot burst mode and averaged around 325 fps. When I switched over to 6 round burst mode the fps did not really change much averaging 321 fps. This was interesting since I thought adding Airsoft BB’s would slow the fps down but it did not.

I then setup a paper target 30 feet away to test out the accuracy or should I say grouping of the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun. I was not excepting any 1 or two inch groupings since the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is designed to shoot like a shotgun and spread out the BB’s to some degree. I did find that the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun out of the box shot a bit low but the front sight is adjustable for elevation so this is easy to correct. In both 3 and 6 round burst mode hitting the approximate 1 foot by 1 foot target was no problem and at this distance I would say the Airsoft BB’s spread out about 3-4 inches form each otters in both 3 and 6 shot burst modes.

Overall the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is a really fun Airsoft Shotgun to shoot. You get a lot of shots per green gas fill (around 100) and the fps is right on the money just over 300 fps both 3 and 6 shot burst. If you are looking for something a bit different then what most people are using on the field than the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun will for sure catch some looks.

Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun Table Top Review

Type: Pump Action Shotgun.
Manufacturer: Jag Precision
Model: Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun.
Materials: Mostly aluminum metal construction.
Weight: 4 Pounds (1.8 kg).
Barrel Length: 11 inches
Total Length: 31 inches.
Propulsion: Green gas or propane
Action: Pump action 3/6 rounds burst.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Airsoft BB’s
Ammunition Capacity: 28-30 rounds per shell.
Max FPS: 350-400 fps.

Trigger Pull: Since the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is a pump action shotgun you will need to work the pump action to load rounds into the barrel and cock the internal firing mechanism. The tigger is then engaged as a single action only trigger. The trigger pull is short and light. You can also hold the trigger down and pump the action for quick repetition shooting.

Accuracy: So far I have not tested the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun but will be making my Field Test Shooting Video later this week. I have played around with the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun and it seems to shoot pretty hard and the multi-round shots group fairly close together.

Build Quality: The build quality of the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is excellent. Most of the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is made out of aluminum with only a few parts made out of plastic including the pistol grips, rear stock and perhaps the side saddle for holding the shotguns shells/magazines.

Realism: The Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is an awesome replica of a tactical fully tricked out pump action shotgun complete with AR accessories and rails for mounting whatever accessory you can dream of. Shells will not eject when pumping the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun since the shells are essentially the magazines holding up to 30 rounds each.

Pros:

  • Full metal construction (mostly aluminum)

  • Comes pretty much fully loaded, nothing really to add on unless you want to customize it.

  • Tons of shots per gas fill with expected good fps.

  • Fully adjustable and removable pop-up iron sights.

  • AR compatible pistol grip and but stock.

  • Multiple mounting points for a sling.

  • Side saddle holds 6 rounds, 2 more just in case can be placed in the magazine tube.

  • 3 or 6 round burst selectable.

  • The SPX2 comes in tan or black, lots of other options available.

  • Well priced for what you get compared to other gas Airsoft shotguns

Cons:

  • Does come with an orange tip but I am sure it can be removed.

  • Pump tube will show wear marks over time.

  • Will not be as accurate as an Airsoft rifle.

Comments:
The Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is a really cool product. So far I have not come across a Green Gas Pump Action Airsoft Shotgun so this was a real treat for me. The build quality and the realism of the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun is what I really like. It feels like a real shotgun and even performs much like one. Having the ability to shoot either 3 or 6 round bursts is also nice. If you want more shots per shell load then you can use the 3 round option, likewise if you select 6 round burst for more ammo down range with each shot. I like that the Jag Arms SPX2 Scattergun Green Gas Airsoft Shotgun comes pretty much all tricked out so you really don’t need to spend additional money on a bunch of accessories which adds a lot of value to this purchase.

Rx Target Systems Field Test Shooting Video

It was a pretty nice day today so I got outside and tested out the Rx Target Systems to see how well it worked shooting my Sig Sauer Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Air Rifle at it for about 50 feet down range.

My systems setup for a more powerful airgun as I was shooting .22 caliber lead pellets with about 11-12 foot pounds of energy. Direct hits passing through the 3/4 inch cut outs had no problem laying down the metal paddles and resetting the paddles was a lot easier than I though it would be even way back 50 feet.

I did not have my Sig Sauer Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Air Rifle perfectly sighted in so I did have to aim low and to the left which made it a bit harder dropping the plates but I did manage to get the job done at least for providing a decent test video fo the Rx Target Systems for the purposes of this video.

Make sure to not only watch my Field Test Shooting video included in this post but also checkout my Rx Target Systems Preview Video where I show it up and close and also go into more details on the Rx Target Systems and how modular and versatile it really is.

We hope to have the Rx Target Systems in our Canada and US Online Replica Airguns stores in the near future but until them you can concat Rx Target Systems at their website.

ASG SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

ASG+Logo+White.jpg

Unfortunately the microphone system I was using for some reason did not record the Lapel Microphones we where record the audio with for this ASG SHOT Show 2020 Interview Video. The Camera we where recording video with did record audio but as there is so much back ground noise going on at large show like this, the audio is far from good. That all said try do you your best to listen to what we are discussing. There are sections where the audio is fairly distinguishable and sections in the video that are not due the proximity of the camera.

Bob from ASG and I go over serval products for ASG at SHOT Show 2020 this year. We first take a look at the new ASG Shadow 2 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. One interesting fact about the new ASG Shadow 2 is that it has an internal Hop-up system that help BB’s travel further out for longer range shooting. The ASG Shadow 2 also has a fully adjustable rear sight making this Blowback CO2 BB Airgun a potentially pretty decent target pistol.

Another new product from ASG we focused on is the Airsoft ASG B&T Universal Service Weapon designed for first responder situations. The ASG B&T USW has an extended rear frame allowing for a non-recipricating red dot sight placement. The ASG B&T Universal Service Weapon has a built in folding stock and you can trick it out with all kinds of add ons to make it your own.

Near the end of the video we took a look at some new ICS Airsoft offerings from ASG.

Chiappa New Rhino Airgun at Show 2020 Las Vegas

chiappa-firearms-vector-logo.png

This isn’t a SHOT Show 2020 Interview but most certainly worth reporting on. While walking around SHOT Show I ventured into the Chiappa Booth as I own a .22 caliber 1911 styled pistol from them and they do have some interesting products to take a look at.

Then I saw a red tip on one of their Chiappa Rhino Revolvers which caught my eye since I was not aware that Chiappa was making an Airgun version of their Rhino. Well as it turns out they are hoping to be shipping both an Airsoft version and Steel BB version around spring time and from what I can tell there will be two finishes, a kind of Gold Satin finish and also a Back finish version. As is with a lot of revolvers these days they will be shell loading which will help them look the part of a real steel Chiappa Rhino Revolver.

Looking forward to getting my hands on one when they come out in Spring this year!

Umarex SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

This year at SHOT Show 2020 Mark from Umarex had a nice variety of new product to go over with us. Mark first went over the new CO2 Blowback Pellet firing Glock 17 which has a similar magazine and loading system as the Umarex SA10 Pellet Pistol.

We then took a look at another Glock replica, the Glock 18C Full Auto GBB Airsoft pistol with extended magazine, this one is sure to be a lot of fun with its selectable full auto feature and high capacity magazine. Perfect for hammering targets downrange or used as a very capable backup Airsoft pistol in the field.

Probably one of my favorites at the Umarex Booth this year was the Umarex Thompson M1A1 Legends Series CO2 Blowback Machine Gun. And yes it’s full auto capable along with blowback operation and a full size drop metal magazine that holds the CO2 and Steel BB’s. A nice addition to the Legends series of Pistols and Rifles.

Something really different this year for Umarex are the AirJavelin and AirSaber, two arrow firing rifles, the AirJavelin is CO2 powered and more tactical looking but still has more than enough power to shoot medium sized game, great for pest control while the bigger and (480 fps 178 foot pound) more powerful AirSaber is PCP powered and can be used for larger game like deer and wild bore. And it even looks like we will be selling these Arrow firing rifles in our Canada Replica Airguns Store with no PAL firearms license required!

Sig Sauer SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

This year Sig Sauer was showcasing their Airsoft Pistols with a new line called the Proforce series geared towards high end training. Sig has also included new Reflex Red Dot Sights that can be ordered already on the gun or as an add on accessory. The Proforce Pistol line includes both the M17 and M18 series Sig Sauer pistols.

Last year at SHOT Show 2019 Sig had introduced their Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Semi Auto Rifle but it was not ready at that time. Well now the Sig Sauer Virtus is ready to ship and yours truly will be getting one of these bad boys for review! Since the .22 caliber PCP Sig Sauer Virtus shoots around 700 fps with a 12 foot pound energy level you will need a PAL firearms license if you live in Canada but the Sig Sauer Virtus is a considered a “long gun” so no registration will be required in Canada.

Watch my Sig Sauer SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview for more info and cool stuff presented by Stephanie from Sig Sauer.

Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: GBB AIrsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: Made by Tokyo Marui.
Model: Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R.
Materials: Mostly polymer with metal components.
Weight: 1.85 pounds (839 grams).
Barrel: 4.4 inches (112mm) metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: Green gas.
Action: Semi auto blowback, single action only trigger.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 31 round drop out full size metal magazine.
FPS: Claimed 365.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol is extremely nice, there is virtually zero take-up with a light and easy release. You can really hammer out quick shots with this Airsoft pistol. Other than the Tokyo Marui Strike Warrior .45 1911, one of the best 1911 triggers I have tested so far.

Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol so I have no idea what the actual fps is and how accurate it will be but based on the reputation of Tokyo Marui Airsoft guns I have high expectations from the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol when I perform my Field Test Shooting Video.

Build Quality: The Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol on the outside it is mostly all plastic (Slide and portion of the frame). That said the quality is fantastic, fit and finish is top notch everywhere and you will find metal parts where they need to be as in the inner and outer barrel, trigger, hammer, slide catch release, back strap safety, trigger group, magazine and many more internal parts.

Realism: The Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol is built on the Colt 45 1911 design but is obviously a more modernized and tacticle version of the classic 1911. The only factor that separates the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol from that of a traditional 1911 in design is the lack of a barrel bushing which kind of makes field stripping and access to the Airsoft guns intervals a little bit easier. You still get that 1911 feel and awesome Single Action Only Trigger with your thumb safety and slide catch release in all the familiar places. Of course the Grip safety works as you would expect on a 1911.

Pros:

  • Light and crips flat faced SAO trigger feels great.

  • Fit and finish is excellent, next to zero slide wiggle.

  • Very cool looking tactical modernized 1911.

  • Direct Optic Ready removable rear sight to accommodate for included red dot mounting plates.

  • Optional under-rail plate included.

  • Full size high capacity 31 round double stack metal magazine.

  • Ambidextrous thumb safeties.

  • Working grip safety as you would expect on a 1911 based gun.

  • Most mechanical parts work just like a real steel 1911 and can be easily field stripped to access the hop-up.

  • Super fast blowback action, great for quick action shooting.

  • Decent 1.85 pounds weight considering much of the Airsoft gun is plastic.

Cons:

  • Mostly all plastic build.

  • Does not have the barrel bushing found on traditional 1911’s.

  • No white dots on rear sight.

Comments:

So far I have reviewed three of the Tokyo Marui Airsoft pistols and all three have impressed me. Even with a mostly plastic build at least externally in the slide and frames, these Airsoft Pistols still feel and shoot great even if they are a little on the light side. That may be a plus for some people who want a nice light weight side arm that is not weighing them down on the field. The plastic slides really cycle fast and are super snappy, when combined with short and light tirggers you can pop off rounds amazingly fast and on target. For the price I really think any of the Tokyo Marui Airsoft Guns would be a great choice. I do however have a soft spot for 1911’s and so for me the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol would be my choice out of the three I have reviewed so far.
