Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun is basically a Double Action Only Trigger as there is no blowback or way in which to preload a hammer or striker system. So basically your finger does all the work so the trigger pull is I would say about medium length and about medium pull. It does works just fine for fairly rapid follow up shooting. Each pull of the trigger also extends a rear breach-like tube that seals off the CO2 from the internal magazine or there would be a lot of CO2 leakage.

Accuracy: Normally I do not get the chance to perform the Field Test before making my Table Tope Video Review but with the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun, I did it the other way around so I do have performance metrics I can share with you, at least summarized. I suggest watching my Full Field Test Shooting Video Review for the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun for a the full breakdown. In summary, the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun shot a bit low on the target but had a decent grouping of I would say around 4-6 inches which is really good for a Paintball Gun. In terms of power my Chronograph results shooting 5 rounds produced an average of 176fps but the temperature was not super warm so in warmer conditions you can expect this to go up a bit, I would say 200fps is realistic.

Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun is really good for the lower price of this unit compared to other higher priced T4E products, you will get a pretty much all plastic outer shell. That said there is still a fair amount of metal in this PaintBall Shotgun including the barrel, internal magazine, sights, trigger, sling mounts and some internal parts. All in all the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun has a good weight and feel to it with nice fit and finish.

Realism: The Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun as far as I know is not an exact replica of any specific Shotgun but it does look like what you would expect to see from a Pistol Grip Tactical Styled Shotgun. So if you’re on a budget, don’t feel like you are compromising at all here, you are getting a really good Paintball Shotgun solution!

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun to find out what the actual fps is and if .68 Caliber Rubber Balls shot out of this Paintball gun are even going to be somewhat accurate at 30 feet out? If you have not already watched my Table Top Video where I go over the details and specifications with some closer up video showing you around the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun then make sure to watch it here…

Starting with the velocity portion of this video I used .68 caliber rubber balls which are not super heavy and not made out of a very hard rubber as you can squish them with your fingers fairly easily. I put 5 rounds through my chronograph after loading a pair of 12 gram CO2 cartriges into the CO2 chamber. My results averaged 206 fps which may seem slower than expected but they did hit my target pretty hard and actually knocked the cardboard backing right off of it. Each round was fairly consistent ranging from 203 to 210 fps.

Moving on to the accuracy portion of this test I proceeded to shoot around 10 rounds into my fresh paper target setup 30 feet down range. My target is basically an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and my goal was ot get all my shots onto the paper which I managed successfully. I would say most of the rounds all hit within about 5-6 inches of each other which for a Paintball Gun is very good! Keep in mind I was shooting using a seated position with the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun rested up front on a sand bag.

All in all the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun performed really well shooting consistent velocities and also getting all the rounds on an 8.5 x 11 inch target easily at 30 feet away which means if you where shooting at a persons body area you would easily hit it every shot making this a decent close quarters shooter which is what it really would be used for at the end of the day. Could you use it for less lethal home defense? I guess so especially if you can get your hands on pepper balls but I am not sure if regular rubber or paintballs balls would stop someone? Just seeing this impressive shotgun may in fact be more of a deterrent then being shot by it, but if it get’s the job done then why not.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun is a single action only trigger that requires the Pump Action to engage the trigger. Without working the pump the trigger is in the rear portion and does not operate until the Shotgun is pumped, then it pops forward and becomes active. At that point I would say it is fairy short and light, maybe with a little bit of friction but not bad overall. There is also a cross-bolt safety right behind the trigger making it easy to engage and disengage the safety.

Accuracy: So far I have not had the opportunity to test the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun but plan a full Field Test Shooting Video shortly. As with most Paintball Airguns they are not going to be super accurate even at 30 feet away. Generally speaking most tests I have done with Paintball guns using rubber balls perform about the same with most of the rubber balls hitting my paper sheet target (8x11) but some even missing completely. In terms of power, on the box Umarex claims 250 fps but I have seen higher velocity specifications on websites including our own so I guess we will find out for sure when I perform my Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun,

Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun is very good since this Paintball Shotgun is made for military and law enforcement training use. It has a very good weight and feel to it and has metal parts where you would expect them including the receiver. If you picked this item up along with a real steel Shotgun it would be hard to tell or feel the difference at first inspection.

Comments:

I am not sure exactly what one would use this Paintball Rifle for but there are a few options. You could use it on the field but with everyone else using high capacity rapid fire Paintball Guns you might be “Out Gunned” to say the least unless of course everyone else was limited in some way to their ammo capacity and rate of fire. Again the Umarex T4E HDX .68 Paintball Shotgun could be used as a non lethal home defense option when combined with the right ammunition type like say some pepper balls? The look of this Shotgun is probably enough to make an intruder get the heck out but I would not count on it. No matter what you plan to use it for it is an awesome Paintball Airgun for sure but just be aware if is not going to be the cheapest option at around $450 Canadian.

As the title suggest this a video about a Huge Mystery Box so I am not going to say what’s in it, I can say that their are 4 main products mostly rifles per-say. One is a Futuristic Full Auto BB Rifle, one is a Paintball Shotgun, One is an AEG Airsoft Rifle and one is a Replica Break Barrel Pellet Rifle.

So I have a lot of variety here to show everyone! I did absolutely zero research on any of the products I show in this video since like you I had no real idea what was inside other than how many and that most where rifle based.

Enjoy finding out what new products I will be reviewing over the next month with dedicated Table Top and Field Test Shooting videos.

There are many types of magazines used in Airguns and some of this is dependent on the ammunition used.

For instance a stacked type of magazine often used for Steel BB and Airsoft can not be used for Pellets as pellets tend to deform when stacked in such a way since there is no metal casting protecting them from mashing into each other.

So what type of magazines do we generally see in Airguns? The most common Airgun magazines are as follows:

Simple Stick Magazine

• Mostly used with Steel BB but also found in some Airsoft Airguns.

• Some Pellet Airguns use a type of stick magazine with a rotary magazine on each end.

• Used in non-blowback and blowback Airguns.

• Can be made from plastic or steel or a combination of both materials.

Full Size Drop Out Magazine

• Used with Steel BB and Airsoft guns.

• Generally you will find these types magazines hold both the BB’s and CO2.

• Used in non-blowback and blowback Airguns.

• Commonly used with Airsoft Rifles in mid to high capacity.

• Can be made from plastic or steel or a combination of both materials.

Rotary magazine

• Used with Steel BB, Airsoft and Pellet Airguns.

• Used in non-blowback and blowback Airguns.

• Can be made from plastic or steel.

• Can often use mixed ammo types as in both 4.5mm Steel BB and .177 caliber pellet.

Belt Fed Magazine

• Like rotary magazine belt fed magazine can accommodate Steel BB, Pellet and Airsoft but are most often used with Pellet Airguns.

• Usually found in a full size magazine that also holds the CO2.

• Used in non-blowback and blowback Airguns.

• Can be made from plastic or steel or a combination of both materials.

Internal Magazine

• Used with Steel BB, Airsoft.

• Can have a hopper built in hat feeds a spring fed magazine.

• Usually found in lesser expensive Airguns but not a rule.

In this Video I go through each type of Airgun Magazine and talk about their differences and uses.

In this two part video series I compare several Air Pistols to each other to find out what type of round has the most power and accuracy. I didn’t take a ton of time with each gun since there where 4 to shoot in this Field Test Shooting Video so accuracy may have been a bit better if I took a little more time with each gun.

The Video I am sure most of you have been waiting for in this Full Auto Fun 2022 Video Series! The Canada Legal Air Ordnance SMG .22 Full Auto PCP Machine Gun. For this video I loaded up a 100 round belt fed magazine and filled my 13 CU PCP tank up to 3500 PCI (I should have filled it all the way to 3000 in hind sight!) I was able to get through almost all the of the 100 rounds but ran out of pressure with around 100 or so rounds left. Still had lots of .22 caliber lead pellets to get the job done and rip through all the water filled cans with lots left over for the Gel fill paper target. In this Preview Unboxing Video I take a look at three rifles, two are Airsoft Rifles and one is an Archery Rifle. Then First Airsoft Rifle form Tokyo Marui i s full Gas Blowback all metal build AR 15 of the highest quality and realism while the second Airsoft Rifle from Sig Sauer is an AEG but again a high quality product for sure. Lastly I take a look at Umarex’s lates Airsaber which now sports dual Arrow configuration for quick follow up shots. In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol in the Indoor Replica Airguns Sea Can Shooting Range to find out what the real world velocity and accuracy is for it. I start off by putting 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average the fps, I then I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and put (max amount in the magazine) 8 Paintball rounds into it to see how close of a grouping I can get. If you want more details and specifications on the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol then checkout my Table Top Video for that information.

Starting with the Chronograph velocity test Umarex says you can expect around 350 - 400 fps which seems rather high to me based on my other Field Tests with similar .43 caliber Paintball Pistols. Perhaps this is using actual Paintballs whereas I was using rubber balls for my testing to reduce the mess in the Sea Can. I was able to average 300 fps using a brand new CO2 in what I would consider to be about a room temperature conditions which means in warmer situations I am sure we can get even higher than the 300 fps I hit on this day.

For the next portion of the Indoor Field Test I loaded 8 rounds into the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol and carefully placed them into a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using my standard seated position in the back with my hands resting on a sand bag up front which I have found to be fairly stable but there will still be some human factor which can effect overall accuracy. My results where about what I was expecting with a Paintball Pistol shooting Rubber Balls, generally they will spread out a bit at 30 feet and in this Field Test my 8 shot group spread out to about 8 inches or so. They did seem to be well centered on the target as a group and if I was shooting at a human sized torso at that distance I would have hit it every time.

The Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is another nice addition to the Umarex / T4E lineup up .43 Caliber Replica Paintball Pistols and if you are a Glock owner and want a Paintball Pistol to train with, then the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is about as good as you can get, the only other option would be to go with an Umarex Glock Airsoft or BB Pistol but at least we now have a bunch of options depending on your specific needs!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol feels a lot like a double action trigger mainly because when you pull the trigger the inner barrel travels backwards into the magazine placing a paintball round in the barrel which seals the barrel with the magazine so less CO2 is wasted. This does make the trigger a little bit longer and heavier than a single action trigger. The internal hammer/striker is engaged from the blowback action reducing the friction on the trigger. In terms of it being similar to a Glock trigger pull it will be a bit heavier and longer but not bad overall.

Paintball Pistol is really very good, metal parts are where you would expect them, the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts giving the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol a solid 1.6 pound overall weight with the magazine in. The fit and finish is also very good with virtually no slide wiggle to be found.

Realism: The Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is a licensed Glock Replica via Umarex which owns the licensing so you will find Glock licensing and branding throughout this Paintball Pistol. Just looking at the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol you would find it hard to tell the difference between it and the real steel Glock 17 Gen5 but there are some notable differences as in the length of the slide travel which is about half of what you would expect from a real Glock. This is to account for the obvious internal differences to allow for CO2 and paintballs to be used. Overall the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol would make a great training pistol if you are a Glock owner and want to use the closest gun to it.

Pros:

• Really great weight and solid feeling gun.

• Full Metal slide that locks back on the last shot.

Cons:

• Trigger is a bit heavy, not as light as a real Glock, more of a double action trigger in function.

• Magazine only holds 8 rounds, so you are going to need extra magazines for sure.

• Blowback action is not full blowback, more like a typical half blowback BB gun.

The Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is another great addition to the Replica Paintball Pistol options out there and if you are a Glock owner looking for a training gun you can use for some additional trigger time outside of a gun range or want to perform realistic training exercises with live players then the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol will fill this need. I am looking forward to testing it out when I make My Field Test Shooting Video as Umarex claims it to have significantly higher fps (350-400) then some of the other replica T4E Paintball guns I have reviewed so far. First up is the Umarex Ruger Mark IV Spring Piston Pellet Pistol which is a single shot replica pellet pistol that shoots .177 caliber pellets at up to 320 fps using a spring piston break barrel system. Next I take a look at a Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol from Action Army that closely resembles the Ruger Mark IV pistol with perhaps a more compact look. The Action Army AAP-01 GBB Airsoft Pistol is full blowback a full size drop out magazine and fiber optic sights. It also come with a threaded barrel and barrel extension for adding a longer barrel and much suppressor.

Next on my list of new items is the Bear X Desire XL Crossbow which is a 2.2 pound compact bolt shooting crossbow that sports a rail system with included adjustable iron sights that also allow for a red dot if you want to really customize it. The Bear X Desire XL Crossbow has a 60 pound draw and shoots arrows/bolts at up to 175 fps.

Another AR BB Rifle/Pistol from Crosman is the Crosman A4-P Full Auto CO2 BB Pistol which is essentially a pistol version of the AR Platform. If you like the Crosman DPMS SBR, R1, PDW then you will probably also like the Crosman AP-4. Like the others it uses dual CO2’s and shoots 4.5mm Steel BB;s in semi or full auto at 1400 rounds per minute until the 25 round magazine is empty.

Last included in this preview video is the Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP Pellet Rifle. I’m a bit uncertain about this one as I am pretty sure it is the non detuned PAL version that requires a firearms license here in Canada as it shoots at full velocity (.22 caliber pellet at 950 fps). If that’s the case then it will not be available in our Canada Replica Airguns Store but may be available in the US Replica Airguns Store. If it is the detuned version or a detuned version becomes available in Canada then I imagine we will at some point have it in the Canada replica Airguns Store. That said the Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP Pellet Rifle uses compressed air and shoots either .177. .22 or .25 caliber pellets using a latch system and rotary magazine.

I will say right off the bat this Field Test Shooting Video for the Air Venturi 3000 PSI Aluminum HPA Tank with Stock and Adapter did not go as well as I would have wanted it to! The HPA tank itself worked really well but I believe the adapter was faulty as it was destroying the seals on my tank and not regulating very well.

I still wanted to publish this video regardless as not all reviews go as planned, some fail horribly but I would rather be honest and transparent about it rather than have you believe every product is a perfect.

There will always be problems even with really great products there can be defects. I plan to get a new adaptor and try this Field Test Review Video again but for now you can have some fun watching me at least have some success using the Air Venturi 3000 PSI Aluminum HPA Tank with Stock on my Rap4 Rap5 MP5.

Pros:

• Compact and is the perfect size to use as a rear buttstock for various 88 Gram and or HPA rifles.

• Smaller tank means if you are using a foot pump it won’t take all day to fill up :)

• Comes with adapter so can be used with regular HPA and 88 Gram CO2 systems.

• Regulated to 1100 psi so should perform better in terms of max velocity and consistency compared to CO2 which is around max 800-900 psi with velocity being effected by cool down.

• Not effected by colder temperatures compared to CO2.

• Once you have this tank the cost is virtually nothing to shoot compared to expensive 88 Gram CO2 cartages. You just need to buy your pellets or BB’s.

Cons:

• Still takes a while to pump up using a foot pump system.

• Higher initial cost ($195) than simply buying 88 gram CO2 cartages when you need them.

• Will need access to a pump or compressor to use it.

• Doesn’t look as good as the supplied buttstock at least with the Sig Sauer MCX and MPX.

Comments:

I guess the question is who is this for? If you are a casual shooter that perhaps owns the Sig MPX or MCX or even another 88 Gram CO2 Air Rifle that the Air Venturi 3000 PSI with Stock & Adapter Aluminum Tank would work with then this may be a bit expensive especially if you don’t have a way to pressurizer the tank at home. On the other hand if you already have a foot pump or air compressor or easy access to one and maybe you have other HPA or CO2 based airguns this tank will work with then it’s kind a no brainer to get it. Maybe you juts want a system that gives you maximum and consistent velocity no matter how cold it is outside. All good reasons to get one in my books.

Next I take a look at the KJWorks M9A1 GBB Airsoft Pistol, I hover revived the CO2 version before but this version comes with the Gas magazine rather than the CO2 mag for those that prefer gas operated Blowback Airsoft Pistols. Because of the slightly lower FPS the Gas version comes with a barrel extension to make it Canada import friendly.

Probably one of the most interesting product I look at in this video at least for me is the EMG JW3 Combat Master GBB Airsoft Pistol. This Airsoft pistol is mainly aluminum with some polymer based off of the 2011 STI and was featured in the 2019 John Wick 3 Film. I’m really looking forward to testing this one out in the Sea Can Replica Airguns Airgun Range!

Moving along to another Air Pistol I finally get my hands on the Crosman P1 which is really just a KWC PT92 4.5mm Blowback CO2 BB Pistol but with Crosman Branding and an included laser. Since I have never shot a PT92 BB Pistol with a laser I will probably make a Field Test Shooting Video to see how well it performs.

Last up I take a look at the ASG TAC-6 which is pretty much the exact same ASG TAC-4.5 CO2 Air Rifle I tested a while back but in this case the 6 refers to it being a 6mm Airsoft Rifle rather than a 4.5mm Steel BB Riffle. I am not sure I will do a full Table Top Video since these guns are virtually identical but just in different Ammo types but I hope to get outside and see how well it performs shooting at a bit more distance than the 30 foot indoor range I usually test my Airgun in.

I made a video a little bit ago talking about how Canada’s new Bill C-21 will affect pretty every gun owner in Canada including even airgun owners of BB, Pellet Airsoft and even Paintball Guns. Make sure to watch that video first called Bill C-21 Canada is Going After Your Red Ryder BB Gun.

This video is all about how you can get involved in making some waves by signing two online petitions along with contacting your local Member of Parliament and letting them know your disapproval of Bill C-21 and all that it imposes on law abiding Canadian gun owners.

Probably the most important online petition to sign would be the House of Commons Petition E-3201 Bill C-21 so make sure to sign that one!

The other online e-petition we need to sign is the change.org petition.

And lastly but also super important is to send an email to your local member of Parliament again let them know your disapproval of Bill C-21. I have included a link to the web[age where you can locate your local MP and below that is a template of what you could include in your email to them.
