I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a traditional Field test Shooting video for the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher but then I thought why not, and I’m kind of glad I did, it was a lot fo fun making it and now we all know what to expect for this line of CO2 powered Nerf styled guns.
Umarex claims the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher will perform with 30% faster and farther shots than a similarly styled Nerf spring powered gun but what does that mean. If you look up the average speed of a Nerf Gun on Google, Wikipedia says that it is a around 70 fps so I guess we are shooting for around 100 fps (Pardon the pun). Well after placing 5 shots through my Chronograph and actually getting readings for most shots, I did end up averaging 104 fps so Umarex was bang on with their claim of 30% faster which makes sense to also assume 30% farther.
Next I wanted to see if the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher can actually hit a person sized target at around 30 feet which I feel would be about the max distance you would be shooting the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher as this is really an indoor fun gun. My paper target is about 1 foot by 1 foot in size which is around the same size as a human torso. If I can hit that from 30 feet then I should be able to hit a person. The REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher was able to reach out 30 feet no problem but during the last 10 feet the Nerf style darts did seem to veere off target. I was able to get some of them on target but found that at 20 feet it was way more consistent. So try and get in a bit closer if you want to be more sure of placing an accurate shot on target.
The REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is for sure a step up from a spring powered Nerf pistol in terms of power, distance, quicker reloading and especially when it comes to realism as they look like a traditional modern styled hand gun rather than a toy gun like most Nerf gun designs. I figure why not grab a couple REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launchers for when you get bored around the house, heck there’s a lot of that going on right now!
Type: Nerf Type Gun. Manufacturer: Umarex Model:REKT OPSIX. Materials: Mostly plastic build with some internal metal parts. Weight: 11.75 oz (332 grams) with CO2 installed. Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 x1. Action: Single shot double action trigger. Ammunition Type: Nerf type foam darts. Ammunition Capacity: 1 round. Max FPS: NA. Claimed 30% faster and 30% father than standard similar type Nerf spring pistols.
Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is much the same as your standard double action non-blowback BB gun, I’m pretty sure the actual mechanical hammer and trigger mechanism is much the same since the barrel moves in and out just like many of Umarex’s non-blowback CO2 BB pistols. The double action trigger is as expected a bit long but it’s not overly heavy and since this is not a rapid fire gun your trigger finger will not get tired shooting the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher.
Accuracy: I haven’t performed my Field Test Shooting video for the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher and I’m not sure what that is going to entail but I have placed some rounds at targets around 20-25 feet away and for the most part you can easily hit a human sized object in the mid section easily enough. I would not want to shoot much over 30 feet but the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher like other Nerf type guns is mainly for indoor fun.
Build Quality: The REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is built pretty much exactly like other Umarex non-blowback all plastic CO2 BB pistols and that’s a good thing since they are pretty much bullet proof. I would even go on record to say the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is built better or should I say stronger than a Standard Nerf gun in terms of plastic thickness and even the fit and finish is very good.
Realism: One big advantage over most Nerf Guns is that the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher looks a lot more like a real gun, it’s about the same size, has the same feel and looks a lot like a modern semi auto hand gun other than the bright coloring going on. Ergonomically speaking the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher would make a much better trainer than a Nerf gun and should even fit into standard pistol holsters.
Pros:
No need to work a spring before each shot because of the CO2 power source.
More power and range than a traditional Nerf Gun (30% more).
More realistic looking than most Nerf Guns.
Like an Airsoft Gun but more usable indoors and less chance of injurys.
White dot sights front and back.
Has a working safety.
Uses standard Nerf foam darts.
Picatinny rail underneath for adding accessories.
A great option for having some fun indoors while many of us are shut in our houses.
Cons:
Will require CO2 to operate.
Requires reloading between each shot.
More money than a traditional similar type Nerf pistol.
Comments: The Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher may be the ideal indoor fun gun right now while we are all staying at home a lot more these days. Sure you could use a standard Nerf Gun but not if you want to be the cool kid (or cool kid stuck in an adults body). I like that the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is more realistic looking then a traditional Nerf Gun, perhaps the perfect intermediary gun if you want something between a Nerf Gun and an Airsoft Gun? Hopefully we can keep them in stock and get more product for you if need be moving forward.

I want to thank David Bitkowski from Rx Target Systems for providing me with this sample unit to share with the Replica Airguns community. This video is only a Preview video as I wanted to get the RX Target System out there before I follow up with my actual Table Top and Shooting Videos for it.
For now here are some of the key points I want to get out to everyone:
Mission: Rx Target Systems are meant to bridge the gap between firearms and airguns. Standard 1 inch bulls.- represents kill zone of many small game at 30 yards, great for sighting in prior to the hunt. Also is ¼ scale of bull used in rapid fire pistol when shot from 8.3 meters. (25 meters distance/100mm bull)
1.2 inch bulls- represents the 4-10 ring of the NRA 10 meter air rifle target. Gears the shooter to consistently hitting the “black” of that target on paper
AAFTA style- represents common kill zones found in American Airgun Field Target Assosciation using 1.5”, 1”, ¾", ½", and 3/8”.

10-15- Inspired by customer request, uses 10mm and 15mm apertures. High-Precision shooting.
The expectation is going to be high with the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol since it is called the “Super Target” right! In terms of 350 fps well I guess it’s not really anything to wright home about but for a target pistol this velocity is more than enough. What matters most is consistency of each shot as that can effect the trajectory which in tern will effect the elevation of each shot. At the end of the day with a Target Shooter like the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol what I’m really looking for is consistency.
Let’s start with the Chronograph portion of my Indoor Field Test Shooting Review for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. Sig Sauer says I will get around 350 fps and spoiler alert I got exactly 350 fps shooting a 3 shot string. I only shot 3 rounds since all shots where very close together at 353, 347 and 350 fps. Remember what I was saying about consistency, that’s pretty consistent. I was using Sig Sauer Wad Cutter Lead pellets for all of my testing and since the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not a CO2 Airgun room temperature was not a factor.
Moving on to the accuracy portion of my testing for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I was originally going to shoot 10 rounds but decided to go with 5 since between shots I need to open the Airgun, place a pellet in the barrel and then close and cock the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I then need to reset my hand position on the sand bag and place another shot on target. All of this really breaks up the shooting rhythm which makes it a bit harder to be as consistent when compared to simply pressing the trigger between shots. I was shooting 30 feet away from my paper target using a seated and rested shooting position. It’s kind of hard to say exactly how tight my grouping was since the paper ripped a bit but looking back later at the video I am pretty sure all of the shots where pretty much on top of each other getting under a 1/2 inch grouping. The ripping of the paper made it look like the grouping was larger than it was.

Propulsion: Single-shot over-lever single-stroke pneumatic. Action: Single action 2-stage adjustable trigger. Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets. Ammunition Capacity: 1 round. FPS: 350.
Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is fantastic right out of the box. I personally felt no need or desire to tamper with it as the trigger is crazy short and very light. That said if you feel the need to play around with the trigger adjustments you can as the ASP Super Target has a 2-stage adjustable trigger.
Accuracy: So far I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol , I did crack a few free standing shots down range in my Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range and was impressed with not only the trigger feel but how peppy the ASP Super Target felt. Sig claims a 350 fps velocity using lead .177 caliber pellets but I got the feeling they may have been moving faster than that? In terms of accuracy I was not shooting rested so it’s hard to say but I am expecting the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol to be a tac driver for the price that you will pay for one!
Build Quality: The build quality for Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is good, it feels solid and well made, the finish is also good but I did notice a slight casting imperfection on the front sight. I have found with Italian made Airguns they can sometimes have a few finishing flaws but overall they are mechanically very well made which is more important at the end of the day, but still for just under $500 Canadian I think this Precision Target Air Pistol should be near perfect!
Realism: The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is designed after the Sig Sauer P210 9mm Pistol with some liberties taken to accommodate the single-stroke pneumatic internal pump and reservoir. For this reason it is not exactly a 1 to 1 scale replica of the Sig Sauer P210 but it is fully Sig Sauer licensed and looks close enough for what it is at the end of the day.
Pros:
Pretty much all metal and wood construction.
Fully adjustable rear sight as you would expect from a precision target pistol like this one.
Light 18 pound single-stroke cocking effect.
Sig Sauer Lisenced.
Made in Italy.
Comes in a nice hard shell Sig branded case.
Single action trigger is fully adjustable and feels amazing.
Claimed fps of 350 felt to me to be conservative, maybe we will see a little bit more out of the ASP Super Target?
Ambidextrous design suitable for left and right handers.
Cons:
A bit on the expensive side so it may be out of budget for some.
Not a true replica which is kind of expected as this is not a CO2 based airgun.
I found loading pellets in the barrel a bit tuff as it is recessed and harder for large fingers to access but loading got better as I used it.
Comments:
The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not going to be for everyone as it is on the high end and out of the price range of most. If you do have the budget for a high quality Precision Target Air Pistol and you are wanting it to look more like a traditional Real Steel Gun rather than an Air Target Pistol, then The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is probably the most authentic looking option out there. I am really hoping it performs amazing during my Field Test Shooting Review so we can all justify the kind of up there price point.
My Table Top Review of the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol:
In this SHOT Show Las Vegas 2020 Interview Video Scott takes us through a range of new products from Air Venturi.
Scott and I talk about the Air Venturi TR5 and how it came about to fill the hole the Baikal MP-61 left behind. We also talk a look at some new Air Rifles, a pumper called the Butterfly with a super cool linkage based system that makes pumping a lot easier. A PCP side lever cocking Air Rifle that I’m not even sure has a name yet but will be available in .177 .22 and .25 caliber pellet for around $299 US.
The only Air Venturi replica we looked at is a new Springfield Armory under lever Spring Piston Air rifle modeled after the M1A. Last up Scott went showed us how the Bada Bang targeting system is shaping up and looks to be almost ready for production.
This year at SHOT Show 2020 Mark from Umarex had a nice variety of new product to go over with us. Mark first went over the new CO2 Blowback Pellet firing Glock 17 which has a similar magazine and loading system as the Umarex SA10 Pellet Pistol.
We then took a look at another Glock replica, the Glock 18C Full Auto GBB Airsoft pistol with extended magazine, this one is sure to be a lot of fun with its selectable full auto feature and high capacity magazine. Perfect for hammering targets downrange or used as a very capable backup Airsoft pistol in the field.
Probably one of my favorites at the Umarex Booth this year was the Umarex Thompson M1A1 Legends Series CO2 Blowback Machine Gun. And yes it’s full auto capable along with blowback operation and a full size drop metal magazine that holds the CO2 and Steel BB’s. A nice addition to the Legends series of Pistols and Rifles.
Something really different this year for Umarex are the AirJavelin and AirSaber, two arrow firing rifles, the AirJavelin is CO2 powered and more tactical looking but still has more than enough power to shoot medium sized game, great for pest control while the bigger and (480 fps 178 foot pound) more powerful AirSaber is PCP powered and can be used for larger game like deer and wild bore. And it even looks like we will be selling these Arrow firing rifles in our Canada Replica Airguns Store with no PAL firearms license required!
This year Sig Sauer was showcasing their Airsoft Pistols with a new line called the Proforce series geared towards high end training. Sig has also included new Reflex Red Dot Sights that can be ordered already on the gun or as an add on accessory. The Proforce Pistol line includes both the M17 and M18 series Sig Sauer pistols.
Last year at SHOT Show 2019 Sig had introduced their Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Semi Auto Rifle but it was not ready at that time. Well now the Sig Sauer Virtus is ready to ship and yours truly will be getting one of these bad boys for review! Since the .22 caliber PCP Sig Sauer Virtus shoots around 700 fps with a 12 foot pound energy level you will need a PAL firearms license if you live in Canada but the Sig Sauer Virtus is a considered a “long gun” so no registration will be required in Canada.

Of course there where many other Airguns that could has just as easily made this video but I had to draw the line somewhere and pick the ones that in my opinion where the best of 2019. That said the quality is fantastic, fit and finish is top notch everywhere and you will find metal parts where they need to be as in the inner and outer barrel, trigger, hammer, slide catch release, back strap safety, trigger group, magazine and many more internal parts.
Realism: The Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol is built on the Colt 45 1911 design but is obviously a more modernized and tacticle version of the classic 1911. The only factor that separates the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol from that of a traditional 1911 in design is the lack of a barrel bushing which kind of makes field stripping and access to the Airsoft guns intervals a little bit easier. You still get that 1911 feel and awesome Single Action Only Trigger with your thumb safety and slide catch release in all the familiar places. Of course the Grip safety works as you would expect on a 1911.
Pros:
Light and crips flat faced SAO trigger feels great.
Fit and finish is excellent, next to zero slide wiggle.
Very cool looking tactical modernized 1911.
Direct Optic Ready removable rear sight to accommodate for included red dot mounting plates.
Optional under-rail plate included.
Full size high capacity 31 round double stack metal magazine.
Ambidextrous thumb safeties.
Working grip safety as you would expect on a 1911 based gun.

So far I have reviewed three of the Tokyo Marui Airsoft pistols and all three have impressed me. Even with a mostly plastic build at least externally in the slide and frames, these Airsoft Pistols still feel and shoot great even if they are a little on the light side. That may be a plus for some people who want a nice light weight side arm that is not weighing them down on the field. The plastic slides really cycle fast and are super snappy, when combined with short and light tirggers you can pop off rounds amazingly fast and on target. For the price I really think any of the Tokyo Marui Airsoft Guns would be a great choice. I do however have a soft spot for 1911’s and so for me the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol would be my choice out of the three I have reviewed so far.
The Umarex T4E HDS Double Barrel .68 caliber CO2 Paintball Shotgun is a two shot short barrelled that could come in handy for CQB engagements but it looks to be designed also as a none lethal home defence weapon since you can load a CO2 without piercing it but when in a bind you simply hit the CO2 screw and it pierces the CO2 activating the gun for instant use. I will have to test this one out to see if it really has enough power to stop an intrude, after all you only get two shots so they better count!

Ammunition Capacity: 29 round drop out full size metal magazine. FPS: Claimed 366.
Trigger Pull: The single action trigger pull on the Tokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is light and smooth with just a bit of take-up and a crisp release. You can also shoot in double action, as expected the trigger pull in double action will be longer and heavier but it’s still pretty smooth and not at all heavy.
Build Quality: TheTokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol even though on the outside it’s all plastic (Slide and frame), the quality is fantastic, fit and finish is top notch everywhere and you will find metal parts where they need to be as in the inner and outer barrel, trigger, hammer, slide catch release, back strap safety, trigger group and many more internal parts.
Realism: The Tokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is virtually an exact replica of a Real Steel FNX-45 Tactical, looking at photos online of the powder burning version it is nearly impossible to tell them apart. You will find FN licensing in all the right places but keep in mind Tokyo Marui does not actually hold an FN license so yours will come with black stickers over the FN markings. Easy enough to take off :) In terms of functionality the Tokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol operated pretty much exactly like the real steel version including the ability to field strip it for easy Hop-up adjustments.

The only thing that would be nice is a metal slide but I can live without it since everything else about the gun is nearly perfect! This is my first real experience with a Tokyo Marui product and I have to say I am very impressed with their build quality and design. Even though the slide and frame are plastic, there is enough metal going on in this Airsoft pistol to give it decent enough weight and feel. I really like what Tokyo Marui did with the styling of the Tokyo Marui Strike Warrior .45 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol with the Meat tenderizer-like Strike Face muzzle, squared-off trigger guard and overall tactical look and feel. I though I would feature the fact that we recently added some of the Tokyo Marui product line to our Canada Replica Airguns Store. Tokyo Marui is said to be one of the best Airsoft products on the market and they have been around for a while so they have had time to get it right! As Tokyo Marui is a Japanese based company they are restricted to only being able to use plastic frames and slides but even with this limitation the Tokyo Marui products that I have personally looked at are extremely well made.
I’m going to start off by saying this Field Test Shooting Review for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol did not go all that well as I had some complications with this Airgun when chambering rounds. I am pretty sure it is magazine related and hope to try a different magazine with it soon. I say this because I am following through with my review regardless of my initial results to demonstrate that not all Airguns perform as expected during my reviews and sometimes you get a lemon even with a good quality brand like G&G.
I am fairly certain the defect in this case for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol was the magazine tip being too tight and not allowing an Airsoft BB to position all the way to the top of the magazine which means when the slide cycled and the nozzle was in position to push an Airsoft BB into the breach, it simple was hitting the top of the BB and pushing it even further into the magazine. All said and done I was able to test the fps and accuracy on target so let’s get on with my review.
Using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s with a fully filled propane gas magazine in my G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol, I was able to get 6 recoreded shots through my Chronograph averaging 319 fps. The slowest shot being 313 fps and the fastest shot hitting 330 fps. The temperature was right around room temperature so around 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
As I was having issues with with the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol chambering rounds with the .20 gram Airsoft BB’s. I was hoping that when I switched to a different .32 gram Airsoft BB for my target portion of this review that perhaps the different Airsoft BB’s would chamber better but they did not. To get through the target portion of my test, with each shot I had to drop the magazine, make sure the Airsoft BB’s was at the top of the magazine, rack the slide, insert the magazine and then release the slide. So as you can see I was resetting completely for each shot which does not always make for the tightest groupings. Surprisingly I was still able to get about a 1.5 inch grouping on my paper target setup 30 feet downrange using a rested and seated shooting position.
Not all reviews go as planned but you still have to make the best of it. I really feel the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a good gun overall even though mine did not perform that well for me. When I was able to chamber a round it shot a consistent fps and placed Airsoft BB’s downrange accurately and very close to the bullseye. Perhaps simply by swapping out the magazine I will have a much more reliable Airsoft gun? I will have to get back to you on that one.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is what you would expect from a traditional single action only 1911 trigger, a very short take-up and a crips and light release. Great for getting a lot fo shoots off quickly and accurately down range without making your trigger finger do a lot of work.
Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol so I can into comment just yet but I will be making a Field Test Shooting Video for it as soon as I can and will post that here on the website and of course over on the Replica Airguns YouTube channel when I have it ready.
Build Quality: The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is in my opinion one for the nicer looking finishes wise and I would have to say it seems to also be one of the better quality 1911 Airguns out there, for sure a step up from a KWC blowback 1911’s and in line with what KWA and KJWorks is making these days which is good quality. The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is one of the heavier Airsoft 1911 Blowback Pistols which makes me think the metal is a bit higher quality where it needs to be. Tolerances are nice and tight and the blowbacks action is very heavy.
Realism: The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol like most of these full blowback 1911 Airguns, Steel BB or Airsoft BB, is super realistic with an all metal build. All the real steel working parts like the slide catch release, back strap safety and pretty much everything else function as they should. The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol even field strips like a traditional 1911 pistol. Not sure what you could do to make it more authentic for an Airgun?
Nice high capacity magazine compared to other GBB 1911 Airsoft pistols.
Heavier than most Airsoft 1911’s.
All parts fit nice and tight, tolerances are very good.
Working back-strap safety.
No ugly red tip.
Finish is really nice, gun looks really good.
Expect to get decent amount of shots per gas fill.
Micro Gas Filter and Whirl Cylinder Valve help to manage gas efficiency and reduced frost buildup.

Full Size Dropout metal magazine pretty standard on Airsoft pistols.

Sights are pretty basic, no white dots and non-adjustable as you would expect on a 1911 A1.
Very simple Airsoft gun, no modern bits and pieces on it.
FPS could be a bit higher but fine for close quarters.

The G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is for sure one of the nicer 1911 A1 styled Airsoft pistols, inline with KWC and KJWorks. It does come in a little bit heavier and seems to have more blowback recoil action which is nice. All I need to do now is find out how well it shoots! If it’s not half bad then it is for sure worth the price which by the way is a little bit cheaper than a KWA or KJWorks 1911 and about the same price as a KWC 1911. So many choices I know but that’s a good thing :)
My Table Top Review of the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol:
I keep getting more and more really cool airguns to review and it’s been hard to keep up with them all and get out Table Top and Field Test videos for each new product. I at least want to be able to get the word out so to speak for some of the new Airguns that come across my tassel even if I may not be able to get to their full reviews right away.
That said I have two new Airguns that we have in our Replica Airguns Stores to show everyone, the Webley Nemesis in .177 Caliber Pellet and the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol. Both could not be any more different for sure but I really like each of them for their own reasons.
The Webley Nemesis is a very unique CO2 powered pistols since it is bolt action like many of the corpsman pistols but the Webley Nemesis .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol comes with a duel sided rotary magazine that holds 7 rounds on each side, the .22 caliber version holds 6 rounds on each side. The .177 caliber version can shoot up to 450 fps while the .22 caliber version has a claimed fps of up to 370. I look forward to testing and reviewing the Webley Nemesis .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol as soon as I can.
I also showcase the G&G GPM1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol which is a well priced basic A1 styled 1911 that is really well built and about one of the heaviest full metal 1911’s I have come across to date hitting the scale at nearly 2 pounds and 4 ounces. Another Replica Airgun I look forward to treating out!

Steel BB version uses CO2 while the Airsoft version uses Green Gas or Propane.
There is no orange tip on the Steel BB version while Airsoft versions come with orange tips installed.
Steel BB versions have 20 round full length magazines for both the 3.8 and 4.5 inch versions, while the Airsoft 3.8 compact comes with the shorter 14 round magazine and the Airsoft 4.5 comes with a longer 25 round magazine.
FPS for the Steel BB versions are 270fps for the 3.8 and 325fps for the 4.5, comparably the Airsoft 3.8 is claimed to have 280fps with the 4.5 version a bit higher at 330fps. (Keep in mind that steel BB’s weigh more at around .33 grams compared to the .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB’s used for testing).
I did notice that on the sliver slide version, my earlier Airsoft 4.5 had more of a parkerized metallic finish while my same Steel BB version I received at a later time had more of brushed stainless look to it. Air Venturi has since informed me that all silver slide version will now have the brushed stainless finish.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Air Venturi Springfield Armory XDM GBB Airsoft Pistol is pretty much what you would expect on a striker fired SAO pistol. There is very little take up with a light release which should make for great action shooting and help with accuracy when slowing things down a bit.
Accuracy: This time I actually have done my Field Test Shooting video for the Air Venturi Springfield Armory XDM GBB Airsoft Pistol and it did pretty good, getting a 2 inch 10 round grouping from 30 feet away shooting just a bit low on the target, nothing a bit of hop-up adjustment shouldn’t be able to account for. The claimed fps is 330 for the 4.5 inch version and I was able to average right around 300.
Build Quality: At SHOT Show this year I commented on the Air Venturi Springfield Armory XDM Pistols and how great they looked and felt. Nothing really different now that I have them in my hands for review. I did notice that my AIrsoft version with the Silver Slide had a kind of metallic parkerized finish while my BB Silver Slide version has a more stainless steel look. I prefer the Stainless Steel look a lot more and feel it makes the Air Venturi Springfield Armory XDM Pistols look higher quality. Hopefully Air Venturi sticks with the Stainless Steel finish? Build quality and finish are good thought the gun.
Realism: The Air Venturi Springfield Armory XDM GBB Airsoft Pistol is really one of the best 1 to 1 copies I have seen out there. It looks pretty much identical including all the licensing and markings in all the right places. It also is full blowback with a full size drop out metal magazine and all the mechanical working parts work the same as the real steel version including the trigger safety, grip safety, slide catch release, take down leaver and magazine release. Field striping is done just like the 9mm big brother allowing for easy hop-up adjustments.
Lots of metal parts where the real steel version would also have them.
Fully Field Strippable.
Adjustable Hop-up.
Easy to use sights, fiber optic up front and white dot on the back.
Springfield Armory fully Licensed.
Working serial number, trigger and backstop safeties.
Comes with different sized back straps for small to large hands.

Silver Slide Airsoft version finish is not my favorite.

Like I said at SHOT Show this year I was super impressed with the entire Springfield Armory lineup and now that I have them in my hands I am still just as impressed with the Air Venturi Springfield Armory XDM GBB Airsoft Pistols. You are getting pretty much what everyone looks for in a Replica Airgun: 1 to 1 size and similar weight, full blowback action, full size drop out metal magazine, fully licensed, adjustable hop-up, filed strippable and similar build materials you would find as compared to the real steel 9mm version. I also like that you have a ton of choice offered by Air Venturi: Airsoft or BB, 3.8 inch compact or 4.5 inch full size, silver or black slide and even short lower capacity or longer high capacity magazines for the 3.8 inch version.
