Daisy Zinc Coated BB's Added to the Canada Store

It's about time! I have been holding out for some Zinc coated BB's as they are my ammo of choice, I feel they keep your gun a lot cleaner as the copper coated BB's can tend to leave a dusty rust colored residue behind.

You can get the Daisy Zinc Coated BB's in either 4000 or 6000 count bottles located in the Canada Store > Accessories > Air Guns > Ammo Section. Or click here!

Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX Pellet Pistol Table Top & Shooting Review

Type: Pellet air pistol.

Manufacturer:UmarexUSA.

Model:Browning Buck Mark URX.

Materials: Metal & plastic construction.

Weight: 1.5 pounds.

Barrel: 5.25 inches, metal rifled.

Propulsion: Spring piston.

Action: Break barrel, single action only.

Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets.

Ammunition Capacity: 1 pellet.

FPS: 320fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX is not too bad but I feel it is a bit heavier than the claimed 5.75 pounds. In comparison to my real steel 22LR Buck Mark, the trigger is much heavier but then again my 22LR trigger is what I would consider to be near perfection. I was able to work with the trigger as is but found I was expecting the trigger to release earlier then it actually did and I needed to apply just a bit more force than I would have liked to. Even so, with a bit of practice I was able to nail my shots.

Accuracy: Wow is all I can say, you will need to work withe the Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX a bit to get used to where the trigger breaks but once you dial it in this airgun is a tac driver. I decided to go with a non-magnified NcSTAR Ultra Compact 1x25 Red/Green Dot Sight and found it worked well with this Buck Mark pellet shooter. From 30 feet out I was able to land 4 shots pretty much right on top of each other and ended up with an under 1 inch 5 shot group, and keep in mind that I was only using a standing but rested stance (non braced).

Build Quality: Considering the very low price tag for this pellet shooting Buck Mark Replica, I was not expecting it to be as well constructed as it was, there is a decent amount of metal in teh URX giving it a nice 1.5 pound heftiness to it and the rubberized grips make this air pistol feel much more expensive than it is. My only concern is the hinge area in the break barrel portion of the gun, once cocked there seems to be some play that could effect accuracy down the road when wear appears. But once locked back into the closed position the play is all but eliminated.

Realism: The Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX is a licensed replica of the actual Browning Buck Mark 22LR semi auto pistol. Umarex did a great job making this break barrel pistol look very close in most ways to the actual Browning Buck Mark URX with the exception of the lever required to cock the spring that is located just under the back of the barrel. The barrel itself is also a tad bit long but I am sure this helps when cocking to get a bit more leverage. When you consider this is a single shot break barrel pellet shooting version, it looks pretty authentic and most importantly it feels very similar to the real 22LR version which makes it a great off range alternative for 22LR Buck Mark owners.

Available in the:Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Very decent Browning Buck Mark Replica!

  • Feels very well built overall for a low cost airgun.

  • Excellent accuracy once you spend a bit of time with it.

  • Got much better than claimed fps.

  • Has a built in rail for an added sight system.

  • Awesome rubberized grip texture.

  • Ergonomics are much like the real Buck Mark making this a great off the range substitution for the real 22LR pistol.

  • Very low price tag.

NcSTAR Accessories Added - EKOL Special 99 & Lady Blank - Ram X50 Paintball

Some more updates for you, I received some more NcSTAR Accessories for my Canada Replica Airguns Store, some Red Dots, Scopes, Lasers, Tactical Lights, Rails, Bipods and some Vests, Slings and Holsters. I will be updating the Canada Store shortly with these very well priced items shortly so check back soon!

I also have a couple more blank guns that I will be conducting a Silent Auction on shortly: An EKOL Lady in Satin and an EKOL Special 99 in "White", which is more like a soft textured Nickel.

Lastly I also just picked up my first paintball pistol a RAM X50 and it is one I have been after for a while since I am a big Sig fan. It' basically an unlicensed Sig Sauer 226 that uses CO2 and chambers .43 caliber paintball and/or rubber balls. It is blowback and has a drop out 9 round metal magazine.

ASG AW .308 Accuracy International England Airsoft Sniper Rifle Review

Type: Airsoft Rifle.

Manufacturer:ASG.

Model: ASG AW .308 Airsoft Sniper Rifle.

Materials: Metal & plastic.

Weight: 6.61 pounds.

Barrel: 19 inches, smooth bore.

Propulsion: Spring.

Action: Bolt action single shot.

Ammunition Type: Airsoft 6mm Plastic BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 28 rounds.

FPS: Up-to 449.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG AW .308 Sniper Rifle is very nice, there is very little play, once the trigger safety is flush the release is almost instant and the pull is very light but not so light that you would accidentally shoot it.

Accuracy: Being an Airsoft Rifle and a Sniper rifle in one made me wonder if you could actually get a tight grouping at longer distances? I'm sure hitting a human target at 60 feet shouldn't be too hard but what about a pop can consistently? With a bit of fine tuning I was able to get a 2 inch grouping at 60 feet out using a rested position. And with the Hop-up dialed in, my aim point was the same at 30 feet as it was at 60 feet as a result of the backspin keeping the trajectory even all the way out.

Build Quality: The ASG AW .308 is not over the top price wise so I was not expecting it to be built like a Sherman tank. It is however solid enough but also light enough to use in the field without having to lug around too much extra weight. Most of the parts that you want to be metal are metal including the barrel, bolt & receiver, trigger, magazine, strap rings and rial system. The stock is of course plastic with some added rubber and seems to be hollow in parts which I am assuming is what keeps this rifle on the lean side.

Realism: Without actually having handled a real AW .308 Accuracy International England Sniper Rifle, it's hard to say how spot on it is but it does look very similar to the photos I found online with the exception of the magazine being further forward on the stock. It is a nice touch that the actual Accuracy International England licensing is also on the ASG AW .308.

Available at the:Canada Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Extremely fun to shoot (Even though it's not a semi or full auto gun).

  • No CO2 or batteries required, ready when you are.

  • Excellent accuracy at most ranges.

  • Very nice trigger.

  • Good power.

  • Good use of metal parts.

  • Will not break the bank.

Cons:

  • Does not come with a sighting system so you need to buy something to shoot it.

  • Light Airsoft BB's will not give you good results, use high end heavy Airsoft BB's for best results.

  • Stock looks adjustable but is not, was not a problem, everything felt good!

  • Some things are not explained in the manual?

Comments:

I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing this Airsoft rifle, you would think that a full auto gun would be so much more fun to shoot and don't get me wrong they are fun to shoot, but there is something to be said about setting up a target well down range, getting into position to take the shot and slowly squeezing off one well placed round! And of course hitting the target. I really like the fact that all you need is a bunch of Airsoft BB's and you're ready to go, no CO2, no dead batteries to deal with. Every time a do another Airsoft review I am impressed with how well these guns shoot and how accurate they are! The ASG AW .308 took this to an even higher level and also showed me that an Airsoft BB can pack some real punch to it. All in all it was a good day and I have a feeling when I get the urge to fire off some well placed rounds just for fun, this rifle is going to get picked more often than not.

ASG Airsoft Pistol and Rifle Update Video

I just received some of my ASG Airsoft guns in my BC location and wanted to make an update video for you so you can see them up close and perhaps see how they stack up against their Airgun counterparts. Keep in mind many of my ASG guns are only available in the Canada Replica Airguns Store, we do have some ASG Airsoft guns for my US based customers but this time here in Canada I have more to offer my Canadian folks!

The Dan Wesson's, the Steyr M9-A1, STI Duty One 1911, CZ 75 P-07 Duty are all pretty much identical to my 4.5mm Steel BB shooting versions with the exception of not having blowback but the good news is the slides do in fact move on the semi autos! Of course the Dan Wesson is just made to accept 6mm Airsoft BB's rather than 4.5mm steel BB's.

I am also super impressed with the high quality of the LMT Defender M4 Carbines, they are a serious bit of gear and have some very good heft to them, even more so than my full metal King Arms M4A1 I already sell and have done a full review of, not to take anything away from the Kings Arms product as it is very good at its price point.

I also received my first sniper rifle and have played around with it a bit to see what it is capable of. I added a bipod to the front and a 3x9 power scope as the ASG AW .308 comes pretty bare bones but ready for all you can throw at it. I can say it likes heavier Airsoft BB's, as the .20 gram ones I started with seemed to fly off in all directions due to the high velocity, even stepping up to a .25 gram BB tightened my group up significantly at 30 feet. I have heard this rifle really prefers heavy Airsoft BB's so I plan do do my review based on that information.

Enjoy my Vimeo Video Update focusing on the new ASG Airsoft lineup.

Swiss Arms Sig Sauer GSR 1911 CO2 BB Pistol Table Top Review

Type: BB air pistol.
Manufacturer: Swiss Arms.
Model: Sig Sauer GSR 1911.
Materials: Mostly plastic construction with a few metal parts.
Weight: 1.3 pound.
Barrel: 4.5 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x 1.
Action: Semi auto, double action.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 20 round magazine.
FPS: 398 claimed - 450 real world.
Trigger Pull: The Swiss Arms Sig Sauer GSR 1911 has a double action trigger with about a medium weight pull to it. It does feel somewhat long as the break point seems to take a while to get to but once you master where it is, you can shoot this BB gun with surprising accuracy.
Accuracy: Once I sorted out the laser sight which took some MacGyvering (as explained in the video), this gun shot a nice tight pattern! For my quick test I shot free standing from 20 feet away and put 8 rounds into my target taking my time. I got about a 1.5 inch group which was very good and another note worth mentioning would be the Chronograph results I got, even though the Sig Sauer GSR 1911 CO2 BB pistol has a claimed fps of 398, mine came in consistently right around 450 fps!

Build Quality: The Swiss Arms GSR 1911 is mostly plastic and has very few actual moving parts, I'm personally not too worried about it, in fact the lack of moving parts means there is less to go wrong with it! I found the fit and finish to be good overall and as long as you are OK with the plastic this gun should be just fine for you. The only thing that would have been nice to see improved would be the laser and how it is adjusted. As is out of the box without modification, you will find that it easily moves out of aim. (I do explain how I fixed this problem in my video review)
Realism: The Swiss Arms Sig Sauer GSR 1911 in terms of size and looks, is about what the real gun would look like, with the exception of the trigger which is kind of a strange looking combination of triggers mashed into one. Of course being a moulded plastic airgun, it is much lighter then the real steel 1911 and has the telltale screw holes on the right hand side. The magazine ejector does work but the real steel safety, slide catch/release, hammer and grip safety are all moulded into the plastic so they do not function. On a good note the barrel muzzle is large like a real 45 caliber adding to the realism.
Purchased this gun from: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Much better than advertised FPS and good CO2 usage. (up to 200 shots).
  • Good accuracy once you get the laser working with the gun it adds to the ease of targeting.
  • Inexpensive and comes with lots of extra stuff that ads value. (Safety Glasses, Laser Sight, Starter BB's)
  • Well hidden CO2 tab and 45 caliber sized muzzle.
  • Full Sig Sauer licensing, decent replica in terms of looks
  • Drop out metal magazines, compatible with other airguns (Umarex Beretta Elite II, S&W M&P)

Cons:

  • Pretty much all plastic and not many working parts (less to go wrong)
  • light weight makes it feel a bit on the cheap side.
  • Trigger action is long and takes some getting used to.
  • Laser sight needs to be MacGyvered a bit to make it stay sighted in (again watch my video on how to fix this).

Comments:
The Swiss Arms Sig Sauer GSR 1911 is pretty much what you would expect from a low cost airgun in terms of build quality, lots of plastic, with less working parts. This does not take away from the performance however as the GSR 1911 performed well in both accuracy and power. It also comes with the laser sight, safety glasses and starter BB's as an added bonus for about the same price as many entry level airguns on their own. If you like ultra realistic guns then this is on may not be for you, but if you want a good performer with the replica look and combined with a value package then I think you will be more than happy with the Swiss Arms Sig Sauer GSR 1911.

SHOT Show 2012 Las Vegas Photos and Videos

I wanted to get this video out to you a bit sooner but I have been really sick the past three days and so I have not had a lot of time to put this YouTube Video together. It's a pretty simple compilation of some photos and videos I took during my time walking around the 2012 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, not all of it is to do with airguns but most of it is. I even took a few touristy shots since it wasn't all work ;)

Umarex Beretta CX4 Storm Field Test Review

First off, make sure to checkout my Table Top Review for the Umarex Beretta CX4 Storm for all the specifications and details on it.

In this Field Test Review of the Beretta CX4 Storm .177 caliber pellet shooting air rifle I shoot 5 rounds through the Chronograph to get a real world average FPS of this detuned Canadian version. As expected the Beretta CX4 Storm does not get anywhere close the 600 FPS the non-regulated version claims to get and even with fairly light 6.9 grain pellets I got an average of just under 400 FPS, perhaps a little too aggressive with the Canadian regulating of the CO2. I would have liked to have seen much better Feet Per Second performance from the pellet shooting Umarex CX4 Storm.

On the other hand this CX4 replica air rifle was incredibly reliable when it came to operation, I did not have even one misfire or failure to load a round even with the rather unusual 30 round belt-fed magazine, which one might think would be prone to problems. The Umarex Beretta CX4 Storm has a very snappy feel with its blowback operation that gives you a confident feeling when shooting and the 8 pound trigger seems to actually lighten up the faster you shot it :)

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

During my Accuracy Test using a magnified scope from 30 feet out in a semi-rested position, I got pretty decent results but nothing amazing, just over a one inch 12 round grouping. Again this airgun is made for fun and you can really empty the 30 round magazine fast and with good precision. I would not recommend it for any type of small pest control because it is a bit underpowered but for target practice and plinking it works very well.

As far as recommending this gun, I think it is very well made and it performs excellent, if you can get your hands on the higher FPS version then it would be a nice upgrade to the one I was testing. The price may be a tad high but it really is a very good quality air rifle overall.

ISSC MK22 FN SCAR 22LR Rimfire Rifle Review

Type: .22 caliber rifle.

Manufacturer:ISSC.

Model:MK22.

Materials: Metal & Polymer.

Weight: 6.5 pounds.

Barrel: 16 inches, metal rifled.

Propulsion: Gun Powder.

Action: Semi auto, single action.

Ammunition Type: .22LR caliber rimfire.

Ammunition Capacity: 22 round magazine.

FPS: 1,138 - 1255.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ISSC MK22 is fairly short with a bit of noticeable break point in it but overall is pretty light. I get the feeling that this may be a striker based action because of the slight tension before the release.

Accuracy: I put about 300 rounds through the ISSC MK22 and took some time getting used to how it felt and also sighting in the sights on my 4 power scope. Once I felt comfortable I setup a new target and placed a full magazine (22 shots) all with in a 2 inch group from 20 yards out (60 feet). I was in a seated position using and elbow based rest. I was very happy with these results.

Build Quality: To me the ISSC MK22 SCAR clone feels like the real deal, it's not till you load it up and fire off a few rounds that you can even tell you are shooting the .22 caliber rimefire version. The MK22 has a lot of metal parts and the fit and finish is very good. You do have to use quality .22 caliber ammo in this guns for the best results because it can be a bit picky and also make sure to also take a bit of extra time when loading your magazines to ensure the ammo is set well to the back of the magazine. I'm not saying you can't use the cheap box ammo but you will have to be prepared to clear a few rounds from time to time.

Realism: It doesn't get any more real than this, the ISSC MK22 is basically an FN SCAR in a smaller cheaper .22LR caliber. But if you want to spend $3000 on the real thing and several hundred dollars per day at the range in ammo then get the full NATO round firing version. Unfortunately my pocket book does not allow for this and I don't think we can even get the larger caliber versions here in Canada. I also go to an indoor range that allows .22 caliber rifles to be used alongside the pistols which makes getting out and using the ISSC MK22 that much easier.

Purchased From: ???

Pros:

  • One fifth the price of the NATO round firing version to purchase and operate.

  • Mostly metal construction with good usage of polymer in the right places to keep it light.

  • Lots of rails to mount just about any type of accessory you can think of.

  • Nice high capacity 22 round magazine to keep the shoots going.

  • Versatile flip up multi position sights for pistol or rifle based target acquiring.

  • Fully adjustable stock with three length positions and check hight position, can also be folded in.

  • Most bad ass looking .22 caliber rimefire rifle around.

  • Made in Germany

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Not the Cheapest .22LR on the market in this category but well worth the added price tag.

  • Can be a bit picky about which bullet's you use in it and how you load the magazine.

  • The rear stock cheek rest is a bit high when using the pistol sights or a low rise scope, you may need a riser under your scope.

Comments:

As you know, I don't do a lot of actual "real gun" reviews, the ones that use gun powder and shoot lead bullets. I do have a very soft spot for the .22 caliber rifles for a few reasons. Firstly, they are usually more inexpensive to buy and also to shoot as the ammo is only a fraction of the cost of the larger caliber ammo. .22 rimefire guns can also be shot in more areas and at most gun ranges so you are more likely to get better use out of it in the long run. The ISSC MK22 FN SCAR clone is definitely the most impressive .22 caliber tactical styled rifle you can get, at least in Canada and even though it is at the top of the price rang in it's category it is well worth it because it is really a very high quality gun at a reasonable price.

Baikal Drozd Classic IZH MP-661K BB Machine Gun Review

Type: BB Machine gun.

Manufacturer:Baikal.

Model:IZH MP-661K.

Materials: Metal & Polymer.

Weight: 3.5 pounds.

Barrel: 8 inches, metal-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 or (Bulk air with adaptor).

Action: Electronic trigger with 1-3-6 round burst & 300-340-600 Rounds Per Minute.

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 30 rounds.

FPS: 360-500.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the IZH Drozd is nice and light due to the fact that the trigger is not mechanical but is instead an electronic on-off switch that operates a solenoid. The solenoid pulsates in turn hitting the CO2 valve release. This is how the single fire and burst fire rates are achieved.

Accuracy: When I was sighting the Baikal Drozd in I got several 5 shot groups well within 1 inch 30 feet out from the target. But when I did my actual video accuracy test, the Drozd did not perform as well, getting more like a 2 inch group, still very reasonable for a gun that can shoot 600 rounds per minute out of the box and 1200 rounds per minute when modified. With metal streaming out the barrel like that you are pretty much going to hit what ever you point it at, the odds are in your favor!

Build Quality: This is a typical Russian made gun, all business and less importance put on looks but even so it is visually appealing, at least to me! Everything works exactly as it should and even though the main shell is plastic it is really a weapons grade polymer so there is no cause for concern here. There are a fair amount of metal components like the factory barrel, most of the magazine and many internal parts.

Realism: Again, the Baikal Drozd IZH MP-661K is not a replica, but it does look like a sub machine gun in many ways, I'm really just not sure exactly what it looks like but when you are shooting this gun you really don't think much about this point because you are too busy grinning!

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Very well made BB machine gun.

  • Excellent power.

  • Good accuracy in all shooting modes.

  • Uses the 12 gram CO2 - a bit cheaper! (Can also convert to bulk air)

  • Stock version can shoot up to 600 rounds per minute.

  • Multiple stock lengths.

  • Rifled barrel.

  • Adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation.

  • Removable magazine hold BB's and CO2.

  • Many mods for this gun.

  • Great for pest control, especially the ones that don't stay still.

  • Made in Russia.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • 12 Gram CO2 - you need to change it often!

  • Top Accessory rail is a bit short and low.

  • Rear stock can get lose sometimes (just add some tape to tighten it up a bit).

Comments:

The Baikal IZH MP-661K is one of the most fun BB machine guns out there and well worth the extra cost to get such a quality product that not only is great out of the box but can also be modified in so many ways to improve it's performance and looks dramatically. Sure the Baikal IZH MP-661K now has a big brother, the Drozd Blackbird, but the Blackbird may be just a bit of overkill for some, I kind of like the Drozd Classics more compact size and if you can't nail what your shooting at with 30 rounds then your doing something very wrong! The Drozd is really the epitome of extreme BB gun weaponry!

Umarex EBOS CO2 BB Machine Gun - Gone Tactical

My recently acquired (Thanks UmarexUSA) Umaerx EBOS CO2 BB Machine Gun was just screaming for some add-ons and to be honest the first thing that I noticed was the open sights really needed upgrading. Luckily the rear sight is removable allowing you to mount just about any type of Red Dot Scope or sighting system you want, just make sure it is high enough to see up and over the front BB hopper.

I decided to go with an EOTech Styled Red-Green Dot Tactical Scope and I have to tell you this guns looks awesome with it installed!

I finished off the look with an unobtrusive Tactical Rail Mount Flashlight. All in all I think I spent about as much if not more on accessories for this gun as it is worth to buy :)

Umarex Walther SG9000 CO2 BB Shotgun Review

Type: CO2 BB Shotgun.
Manufacturer: UmarexUSA.
Model: Walther SG9000.
Materials: Plastic (polymer) and some metal construction.
Weight: 2.35 pounds.
Barrel: 11.5 inches, metal non-rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x 1 (88 gram).
Action: Semi auto, double action only.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's
Ammunition Capacity: 40 shot internal spring fed magazine.
FPS: 480 (single shot) - 250 (three shot burst).
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Walther SG 9000 is in the mid range and is a bit long but once you get used to it you can fire off shots very quickly with little resistance. There really aren't any sticky spots in the trigger pull to speak of.

Accuracy: I shot this CO2 BB Shotgun at a target from the hip 20 feet away using my NcSTAR laser sight I installed on it in a free standing position, and it performed excellent getting a 1.5 inch grouping fairly centered on target. I also performed my accuracy test from 30 feet out in a semi-rested position using my 6x32 NcSTAR Scope and again I got a 1.5 inch grouping proving that a BB gun can show decent accuracy even from further out when setup properly. With my Chrony Chronograph testing I scored much higher then the factory claimed feet per second of 480fps in single shot mode and 250fps in three shot burst mode. I ended up getting an average 8 shot fps in single shot mode of 504fps and 309fps in three shot burst mode!
Build Quality: This is an almost all external polymer air gun with some metal components on the inside giving the Walther SG9000 a bit of a light to medium overall weight but once you add the large 88 gram CO2 cartridge and some accessories this gun can quickly gain a pound or two. All four accessory rails are metal along with the trigger. The fit and finish is very good on the SG9000 and the plastic quality seems very durable.

Realism: The Umarex Walther SG9000 is licensed by Walther but other then a similarity in the pistol grip it doesn't closely look like any specific Walther product or any specific Tactical shotgun for that matter. It does have a very tactical look and with a few accessories added you will have yourself a very persuasive looking shotgun on your hands.
Supplied by UmarexUSA - Can be purchased from: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Inexpensive versatile BB shotgun.
  • Nothing else really like it out there.
  • Multiple shooting modes - singe and three shot burst.
  • Uses 88 Gram CO2 so less stopping to change CO2.
  • Very good FPS readings - above factory claims.
  • Very accurate for a BB gun from close up and further out.
  • Lots of rail locations for all kinds of accessories and different customizable looks.
  • High capacity 40 round internal magazine.
  • Totally fun!

Cons:

  • The plastic exterior may put off some people looking for a heavier more metal gun.
  • 88 Gram CO2 can be a bit pricy, not as cost effective as 12 gram CO2.
  • Trigger pull is kind of long.
  • You will need to purchase some sort of a sighting system for it as all you have is a rail on top.

Comments:
The Umarex Walther SG9000 is a really fun and very inexpensive CO2 BB shotgun. With its multiple shooting modes you have the option of power and accuracy in single shot mode or to simply blow stuff away in three shot burst mode. The Walther SG9000 is also very customizable allowing you to really make this Tactical BB shotgun your own by decking it out with just about any combination of add ons and accessories you like! I found this gun the most fun to shoot in three shot burst mode using my laser sight and literally knocking down everything I pointed at!

Umarex Walther SG9000 and S&W M&P 45 CO2 Airgun Preview

Before I get into my full reviews of the Umarex Walther SG 9000 BB Shotgun and Umarex S&W M&P 45 Air Pistol, I thought I would do a quick Preview so you could get a quick look at both of these fine Umarex products.

A few highlights worth mentioning about each air gun:

  • The Walther SG9000 shoots in both single shot and a 3 shot burst that fires all 3 rounds at exactly the same time, in the same manner that an actual shotgun would simultaneously fire all the buck shot.
  • The Walther SG9000 is capable of 480 fps and uses an 88gram CO2 cartridge so you can refill the 40 rounds spring fed magazine a multitude of times before needing to replace your CO2.
  • The Walther SG9000 does not come with any actual sights so you will need to add either a Red Dot Scope or Laser on to one of the many provided Picatinny rails located on the shotgun.
  • The S&W M&P 45 can shoot in both double action and also single action by pulling the rear portion of the slide back to cock the internal hammer allowing for a very light single action trigger.
  • The Smith & Wesson M&P 45 has a very nice solid weight to it, I was actually surprised at how hefty it was considering it has a mainly all plastic outer shell, my best guess would be close to 2 pounds. I think it's time to invest in a scale!
  • The S&W M&P 45 also has a recessed barrel giving the muzzle the large caliber look of a real 45 auto adding to the realism of this replica gun.

Take a quick look at these two Umarex products in my YouTube video:
