ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 Airsoft Pistol Shooting Review

Here is my Field Test Shooting Video Review for the ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 Airsoft Pistol. Make sure to checkout my previous Table Top Review for more detailed info about the ASG CZ 75D Compact Airsoft version.

My 5 shot Chronograph test resulted in an average velocity of just over 400fps while my 10 shot accuracy test from 30 feet out using a semi rested position came in at around 2 inches for most of the shots with a few hitting a bit higher. I did have one misfeed which resulted in a double shot for the next trigger pull, those shots obviously did not hit the target as well as expected. For some reason I got a double shot when I tested the 4.5mm Steel BB version so perhaps this is something inherent to this air pistol? In terms of shot placement the ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 Airsoft Pistol shot fairly well centered left to right but on the high side near the top of the target. You should be able to adjust the internal hop-up to lower the shots a bit if need be.

The ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 Airsoft Pistol is about what I expected in terms of performance since I have already shot the 4.5mm Steel BB version but with the blowback option. I do like the lighter single action trigger the blowback version offers but the double action trigger of the non-blowback version is pretty good, not too heavy and fairly smooth. You can also expect to get at least 100 shots or more from a single 12 gram CO2 which makes this an relatively inexpensive gun to buy and shoot.

ASG Bersa BP9CC - CZ 75D Compact - CZ 75 P-07 Duty CO2 Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

First off I have reviewed all of these ASG guns in the BB version which I will link to below so you can read the full reviews. The main difference with this review is that I am reviewing the 6mm Airsoft versions and in the case of the ASG Bersa BP9CC and ASG CZ 75D Compact, the only difference is the ammo they shoot, with the ASG CZ 75 P-07 Duty, my Airsoft version is not blowback whereas the 4.5mm Steel BB version I reviewed earlier did have blowback operation.

My YouTube video for these ASG Airsoft versions does go into a lot of detail on each gun but in this written review I will keep to the basics since you can get most of the detailed information already in my 4.5mm Steel BB reviews for each gun.

Here are the links to my 4.5mm BB Reviews:

Below are some of the sepcifications for these ASG CZ and Bersa Airsoft Pistols:

  • All use 12 gram CO2 cartridges.

  • All shoot 6mm plastic Airsoft BB’s.

  • All have working slides.

  • Bersa BP9CC has blowback action.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty & CZ 75D Compact are single and double action.

  • Bersa BP9CC is single action only.

  • FPS: (Bersa BP9CC 400 fps - CZ 75D Compact 425+ fps - CZ 75 P-07 Duty 480 fps).

  • Bersa BP9CC has a stick magazine with 15 round capacity.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty has a stick magazine with 16 round capacity.

  • CZ 75D Compact  has a full size metal drop out magazine with 15 round capacity.

  • All replicas of their modeled after firearms.

  • All are distributed by ASG (Action Sport Games) and made in Taiwan.

Pros:

  • Bersa BP9CC love the design and how compact it is.

  • Bersa BP9CC has good weight for its small size, metal slide, trigger, stick magazine, barrel, slide catch release.

  • Bersa BP9CC is the only one with blowback action.

  • CZ 75D Compact has a full size drop out metal magazine that holds CO2 and BB’s.

  • CZ 75D Compact has nice comfortable rubberized grips.

  • CZ 75D Compact is the only one with adjustable hop-up and adjustable rear sight.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty has the highest fps at 480 claimed.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty lots of metal parts: Slide, barrel, magazine, hammer, trigger, slide catch, safety, magazine release.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty has a really nice double action trigger.

Cons:

  • Bersa BP9CC slide only goes back part way, not a full cycle blowback operation.

  • Bersa BP9CC does not have adjustable hop-up or adjustable sights.

  • CZ 75D Compact has a plastic slide.

  • CZ 75D Compact is a bit light weight especially with the magazine out.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty does not have blowback operation.

  • CZ 75 P-07 Duty does not have adjustable hop-up or adjustable sights.

KWC 357 and ASG CZ 75 P-07 - CZ 75D Compact and Bersa BP9CC BB and Airsoft Update Video

Some more CO2 pistols I will be doing Table Top and Field Test video reviews for in the near future. Some of them I have already reviewed in different caliber versions, either 4.5mm Steel BB or 6mm Plastic Airsoft.

From KWC I show off two revolvers styled after the 357 and if you watched my Umarex Colt Python 357 Review then you will notice the similarities between these KWC made revolvers since they are all made by KWC. The Model 357 6 inch version is finished in Chrome and made to shoot 4.5mm Steel BB's while the KWC Model 357 2.5 inch shoots 6mm Plastic BB's and is in all black. At this time I do not have these KWC revolver listed in the Replica Airguns Canada Store but should have them listed fairly soon...

I also showcase three CO2 6mm Airsoft semi auto pistols from ASG that I have already reviewed in their 4.5mm Steel BB equivalents. The ASG CZ 75 P-07 Duty Non-blowback, the ASG CZ 75 D Compact Non-blowback and the ASG Bersa BP9CC Blowback.

Make sure to watch my quick Update Vimeo Preview Video for these fine CO2 pistols to see them up close and personal...

ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

Here is my official Field Test Shooting Video Review for my ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 BB Pistol. Make sure to checkout my previous Table Top Review for more detailed info about the ASG CZ 75D Compact where I also did a pre test and got similar results.

My 5 shot Chronograph test resulted in a slightly lower than previously tested 370 average fps while my accuracy test shot from 30 feet out (this time) using a semi rested position came in at right around three inches. For some reason I got a double shot, not really sure why. In terms of shot placement the ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 BB Pistol shot fairly well centered but just a bit high and a tad to the right. Again I was able to get well over 100+ shots using a single CO2.

The ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 BB Pistol is about what I expected in terms of performance, I would liked to have seen it be more consistently shooting at around 400 fps but I think I was having some CO2 feeding problems as the fps would drop noticeably when shooting faster, perhaps the CO2 I was using was not the best suited for it? I do like the single action trigger, it is very usable and predictable. The adjustable rear sight for windage is also a nice touch if you find yours is shooting a bit to far left or right.

ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 BB Pistol Table Top Review

Type: BB Pistol

Manufacturer: ASG

Model: CZ 75D Compact

Materials: Mostly Polymer, Metal Parts

Weight: 1.4 pounds (675 Grams)

Barrel: Metal, Non-Rifled

Propulsion: 1 x CO2

Action: Semi-Automatic, Non-Blowback, Single & Double Action

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm Steel BBs

Ammunition Capacity: 17 Rounds

FPS: Up to 407

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG CZ 75D Compact is fairly light in single action as all the cocking has already been done, when shooting in double action mode, the pull is still fairly light but has a point right before the break where it stiffens up for a moment, not too noticeable when shooting quickly but you may find it more noticeable when shooting slow in double action.

Accuracy: I did do my pre-shooting test and fired off some shots through the ASG CZ 75D Compact airgun at a target from 20 feet away in a semi rested position, it performed well getting a 1 inch group with a few stragglers stretching it out to just under 2 inches fairly well centered on the target. The sights are adjustable for windage in the back so this could be corrected if the gun out of the box is not shooting exactly down the center. My Chrony testing with a five shots resulted in fps ranging from 380 right to almost 400.

Build Quality: ASG as usually only distributes high quality guns, the fit and finish is as nice on the ASG CZ 75D Compact as any other other ASG product, The slide wiggle is virtually nonexistent, one of the best I have seen thus far. I would have liked to have seen a metal slide on this one but even so the gun has decent weight and balance to it coming in at 4 pounds in a compact pistol. There is metal where it really matters like in the trigger, hammer, safety, magazine release and of course many internal parts.

Realism: The ASG CZ 75D Compact is very accurate replica of the real steel version, with full licensed CZ trademarks and even the 9x19 caliber markings in the slide ejection port area. The magazine is full metal and full size and does not have any tell tale CO2 tab sticking out or elongated area hiding it. Again the metal slide would have finished it off.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Overall very good replica, fully licensed.

  • Well made, fit and finish is very good (slide has zero wobble).

  • Good combination of power, accuracy and shots per CO2.

  • Adjustable rear white dot sight.

  • Full size drop out Metal magazine adds weight to it.

  • Single and double action hammer trigger.

  • Recessed barrel.

  • Accessory rail for add ons.

Cons:

  • No Blowback action but does have a working slide.

  • Plastic slide, would have better balance and feel with a metal slide.

  • Slide catch does not work, moulded in.

  • CO2 is a bit hard to install - be careful!

Comments:

I am a bit of a blowback guy so I generally don't look as much forward to reviews of guns without blowback, It was however nice that the ASG CZ 75D Compact does have a moveable slide and it has the least amount of wobble out of any gun I have reviewed to date. I was impressed withe the overall performance of this air pistol, nothing stands out but overall it is a nice complete package getting lots of shots per CO2, good fps, good accuracy, a single and double action trigger, adjustable sights, a rail for add ons, a full size drop out metal magazine and it's a rally good overall replica with full CZ licensing throughout. Not bad for a fairly low cost 45.mm CO2 BB pistol!
