Trigger Pull: The Single Action Only trigger pull on the Novritsch SSQ22 GBB Airsoft Rifle is a lot like what you would find on a real steel Ruger 10/22. It is short and light in action making it light and quick enough for action shooting or sniping with accuracy from long range. You will have to work the bolt to load an Airsoft BB in to the breach and ready the single action trigger for the first shot, but then the blowback action will do that for you for the rest of the shots.
Accuracy: I have not shot the Novritsch SSQ22 GBB Airsoft Rifle or tested it out so far, so I don’t really have much to say in terms of accuracy or if it is close to the claimed 400+ fps, but I will be making a full dedicated Field Test Shooting Video for it a bit down the road when I get caught up with my Field Test Shooting Videos. So until then we will have to wait and see,
Build Quality: Novritsch is a new product line for me so I have not had much hands on with any of their guns so far. My first impressions are that they make very good quality Airsoft products using high quality materials with well thought out designs. The Novritsch SSQ22 GBB Airsoft Rifle is not super heavy even though it does incorporate a fair amount of metal components including CNC machined aluminum.
Realism: The Novritsch SSQ22 GBB Airsoft Rifle is not an exact copy or Replica of a Ruger 10/22 22LR Rifle but it does share a lot of its design and mechanical functions. Most people when they buy a base Ruger 10/22 generally do a lot of upgrading and modifications to them that ultimately make it look a lot more like the Novritsch SSQ22 GBB Airsoft Rifle at the end of the day. As it is Gas Blowback it functions very similar to the real steel version with working blowback action which does give a bit of recoil to it and allows for a very nice short and light single action trigger.

I am always a sucker for Gas Blowback Airguns in general and with Airsoft Rifles the vast majority tend to be AEG’s, so when I get the chance to review a GBB Airsoft rifle, I am always a bit excited to do so. The Novritsch SSQ22 GBB Airsoft Rifle has a lot going for it, there are lots of metal parts where you want them to be, a great single action trigger, mounting options for a red dot or optical sight along with M-LOK on the sides and bottom for whatever accessories you plan to add to it. It’s nice that it starts out pretty light as the addition of a scope, perhaps a foregrip, maybe a taclight and or laser will bring up the weight. I most certainly am looking forward to the Field Test Shooting Video so I can see how this one performs.
I’ve had the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle sitting around for a bit but just haven’t gotten around to reviewing it. When I saw it at SHOT Show a couple years back I was super excited about it probably because I though it was going to have internal blowback action making it function very much like the real steel 22LR Ruger 10/22. Once I finally got it in my hands I came to discover the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle did not in fact have internal blowback and for the most part was a double action shooter. Yes you can work the Bolt Handle to cock the internal hammer making the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle more of a single action trigger but you won’t be doing any action shooting this way, you’ll have to shoot in double action for that.
Getting on to my Field Test Shooting Review for the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle this is how it went! As always a placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph to see what the real world fps was. Umarex claims with the detuned Canada version I was testing right around 450 using light weigth alloy pellets which are generally going to be around 5 grains. I like using lead pellets so I went with some 6.9 grain RWS lead pellets and was able to get a decent average fps of 420. (Keep in mind the US version is claimed to get around 650 fps using standard lead pellets). The temperature was around 24 degrees Celsius or 75 degrees Fahrenheit in my indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range so not overly hot but a bit on the warmer side.
Next I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and load up a full 10 round magazine and emptied it into the target shooting from a seated and rested position. I decided to shoot the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle in single action for this test requiring me to charge the bolt handle before each shot. I was impressed to see a nice 10 round grouping with about half of my shots inside the bullseye and the other half just a little to the left, elevation was bang on and the grouping was just under an inch with all shots overlapping a bit.
I’m kind of thinking I may have prematurely written off the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle because it didn’t have blowback action. I was expecting the trigger to be long and heavy but the trigger is actually really good even in double action mode so don’t let the lack of blowback action turn you off for the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle at least in terms of trigger pull. Where the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifle excels in in consistency. It has the ability of being a real tac driver and as it’s based on the Ruger 10/22 platform I imagine there are all kinds of add-ons you can get for it. If you own the 22LR version and want to be able to shoot a 10/22 virtually anywhere for even less then the cost of 22LR ammo then consider picking up yourself one of the Umarex Ruger 10/22 CO2 Pellet Rifles in our Canada or US online Replica Airguns Stores.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWork KC-02 Version 2 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine is pretty much exactly like a real Ruger 10/22, nice and short, not to light or heavy, crisp and single action only. If you already have a Ruger 10/22 and want to pickup this Airsoft version for some anytime shooting then you will not be disappointed in the trigger since it is already what you are used to.
Accuracy: I decided to setup my paper target a little further out than my standard 30 feet, so I took it back to around 50 feet and put around 24 shots into it in a fairly quick succession from a rested position. The KJWork KC-02 Version 2 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine grouped continently and well centred on target getting around a 3 inch grouping. This was using a red dot scope but with the out of the box hop-up setting in place. I was a little bit surprised by my fps results as my Chronograph recorded an impressive 445 average 5 shot fps using the lower powered green gas magazine. All shot where within only a few fps of each other too! I can only imagine how hard this gun would shoot using the alternative CO2 Magazine. Blowback action was just enough to give some feedback and of course allowed for the bolt to cycle giving the KJWork KC-02 Version 2 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine a true single action trigger pull.
Build Quality: The build quality for all KJWork KC-02 Version 2 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine is very good with a nice weight and feel to it, It really does feel like I am holding a real Ruger 10/22 and it is one of the most popular semi auto 22LR rifles out there for a reason. Mechanically this Ryger 10/22 copy works great, super consistent and very responsive. The fit and finish as with all KJWorks guns is top notch.
Realism: The KJWork KC-02 Version 2 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine is for all intents and purposes simple an Airsoft version of the Ruger 10/22 and even though I have no way to confirm this, I would imagine many 10/22 after market accessories may actually work with the KJWork 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine. Everything works just like it would on a real 10/22 without the loud noise and ejecting shells.
Built on the very popular 10/22 platform so lots of people are going to be very familiar with this rifle and may want an Airsoft version they can shoot just about any time they feel like it.
Good weight and feel to it.

Pop-up fully adjustable sights stay out of the way but are ready to go when needed.

I am really impressed with the KJWork KC-02 Version 2 10/22 Gas Blowback Airsoft Carbine! It feel and shoots a lot like the real steel version but with less noise and recoil. For back yard shooting fun and practice you can not find a cheaper gun out there to simulate shooting your real 10/22 and of course this rifle used on an Airsoft field would be a perfect fir for almost any shooting environment since it is light, compact, accurate and powerful. I think I found my newest favorite Blowback Airsoft Rifle :)
