I was in Las Vegas last week for SHOT Show, filming content for Replica Airguns, but I wanted to post a quick update so you know what I was up to.

I went to SHOT Show to connect with people in the industry and record a bunch of interviews with vendors and companies, Airgun and aintball brands included (and more). I ended up filming about seven interviews, and now that I’m home I’ve got a lot of great footage to go through.

I was in Vegas with my buddy Steve (the guy behind the camera). Once the filming was wrapped, we spent some time enjoying the city after a busy week. We also did a few things outside of SHOT Show, because if you’re in Vegas, you might as well experience it.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I take a look at the KJ Works KP-19S. I’ve reviewed the KP-19 in the past, so this one should perform similarly, but it’s been a while and I wanted to get this one out for a proper range session.

I’ve already done a tabletop / close-up video for the KP-19S covering the specs, features, and up-close details, so if you want the full walk-around and all the technical info, make sure you check that out first.

For today’s session, I focused strictly on performance in the same basic field-test format: velocity testing, then a 10-shot accuracy group at 30 feet, and finally some overall shooting impressions.

Velocity Testing (Chronograph)

For the chronograph test, I ran 0.25g Airsoft BBs (not 0.20g), so expect the readings to come in a bit lower than what many people quote online.

My chronograph also decided to be difficult today, throwing “Error 2” messages and not registering shots consistently, so I had to keep working at it until it finally started giving me some readings.

Once it cooperated, I got five velocity readings:

• 312 fps, 304 fps, 293 fps, 288 fps, 284 fps:

• Average of 296 fps

A couple notes to keep things fair:

• If I had started the test with zero shots fired beforehand (the way I normally try to do it to maximize “fresh CO2” performance), the first shots could be a bit higher.

• Because this was with 0.25g BBs, if you ran 0.20g BBs, you’d likely see higher numbers, potentially into the low-to-mid 300s depending on conditions.

• This model also includes an extended barrel option that can push velocity higher, but I didn’t test it that way because most people run the pistol in its standard configuration (without a long exposed barrel sticking out).

Accuracy Testing (30 Feet)

For the accuracy test, I put a paper target at 30 feet and fired 10 rounds. The nice thing here is that the pistol should lock back on the last shot, so it makes it easy to confirm you’re done without having to count.

Results were excellent for a quick out-of-the-box test:

• With the exception of one flyer, everything was within about an inch

• The group was well-centered left-to-right

• Elevation was also very good without any sight adjustments

There isn’t much you can do for sight adjustment on this one unless you add a laser or optic, but you can tweak elevation slightly via hop-up, depending on your setup.

Final Thoughts

This pistol performed really well for me today.

The KJ Works KP-19S has that 1911-style trigger feel, light, short, and responsive, paired with a snappy blowback that makes it fun to shoot. Velocity was consistent once the chronograph started behaving, and the 30-foot grouping was far better than I expected without any tuning.

Aesthetically, it’s also a great-looking gun: a tactical, modern two-tone style with a double-stack magazine look that gives it that “2011 / hi-cap tactical 1911” vibe. If that’s the style you’re after, the KP-19S is a strong choice.

It should also work with most KJ Works tactical 1911 / double-stack style magazines, so if you already own similar KJ Works pistols, you may be able to mix and match mags. You can also run green gas magazines, but velocity will generally be lower. If you do choose to run the extended / threaded barrel setup, you can hide it with a mock compensator, but it will turn the pistol into a longer, bulkier package. Personally, I prefer it in the standard configuration.

I had the chance to take the KWC 18 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol out for some shooting today to see how it performs. It’s a Glock-styled 4.5mm steel CO2 BB pistol with full blowback and selectable semi and full auto. It’s not an officially licensed Glock, but if you own (or have shot) Glocks, the controls and overall feel will be instantly familiar.

I’ve already done a close-up tabletop video for the KWC 18 covering specs and details, so if you want the up-close visuals and feature breakdown, make sure to check that out first.

For this session I concentrated solely on performance: a quick 5-shot chronograph run in semi-auto to record velocity, a 10-round semi-auto group at 30 feet, and then a full-auto mag dump to get a practical feel for controllability and “real world” accuracy—right out of the box (no tuning).

Velocity Testing (Chronograph)

For the chronograph testing, I ran five shots in semi-auto with a brand new CO2 in the magazine. The numbers came in at 293, 294, 282, 290, and 282 fps, for an average of about 288 fps. The spread was tight and the pistol felt extremely “snappy” while shooting, there’s a lot of pop in the blowback and you can feel it cycling hard.

One important note: this is a single-action-only style system, so you do need to rack the slide to cock it before it’ll fire (ask me how I know…).

Accuracy Testing (30 Feet)

For accuracy, I put a paper target out at 30 feet and fired 10 rounds in semi-auto. After a quick adjustment (the pistol was hitting very low at first), I aimed higher and got a roughly 3-inch grouping. The group was well centered left-to-right, but the pistol was still shooting noticeably low overall.

This is the kind of thing you’d simply keep in mind while shooting, and depending on the setup, you may be able to tweak elevation a little (but with steel BBs at short range, don’t expect miracles).

Full Auto (Mag Dump)

Then I loaded up and did a full-auto mag dump. As expected, it was basically spray-and-pray at 30 feet. The rate of fire is insane, and between that and the strong blowback, it was extremely difficult to keep rounds on target. I may have only landed a couple hits on paper.

Final Thoughts

All told, the KWC 18 is a really fun Glock-style blowback BB pistol if you want something that feels familiar in the hand and delivers a crisp trigger with serious recoil-like blowback. In semi-auto it’s manageable (even if it shoots low out of the box), but in full auto, at least at 30 feet, it’s more about the fun factor than practical accuracy.

Today we’re looking at the A&K M1873R (the R version). There are a few different versions of this rifle in the lineup (some more compact, some more full-length), and the manual actually shows the variations so watch the video where I point that out.

This is a Table Top Review only, so we’re focusing on specs, details, and a walk-around. I was hoping to follow this up quickly with a Shooting / Field Test Video, but my sample has an issue: it’s leaking gas when I try to fill it (I tested with propane/green gas). I’ll need to sort that out first (repair or replacement), so the field test will have to wait until that’s resolved.

Manual Notes: Different Versions

The manual shows several versions of this lever action platform. Some are more compact and some are more traditional full-length lever rifles. There’s also a version that appears to run without the longer front barrel extension setup, which, honestly, is the version I’d personally lean toward since the included mock suppressor is mostly cosmetic.

Walk Around

This is a really sharp-looking rifle, it has that classic lever gun vibe thanks to the real wood stock and brass butt plate, but then it mixes in a modern tactical look with the M-LOK hand-guard and top Picatinny rail.

A few key points when handling it:

• No sights included: there are no iron sights on this rifle, so you’ll want to add your own optic (red dot, scope, or rail-mounted irons).

• M-LOK handguard + top rail: lots of freedom to build the look you want, keep it clean, or “tactical western” it up with accessories.

• Internal mag / side loading gate: loads like a real lever gun, through the side. The external profile stays clean (no big mag hanging out).

• Enlarged lever loop: easier to run with gloves or bigger hands, and it just looks right on this style of rifle.

• Sling / carry: it includes a metal lanyard ring / sling hoop, so carrying it is easy if you want it strapped while moving around.

Mock Suppressor and Gas Fill

The included “suppressor” is mainly for looks. It does have an orange front, and it doesn’t function as a suppressor (it’s not extending the inner barrel either).

Important practical detail: you’ll need to remove the mock suppressor to access the gas fill valve, which means you’ll want to keep the included tool (or something similar like a washer/coin that fits) with you.

Issue With My Sample: Leaking Gas

My review sample is leaking at the fill area. It looks like someone may have tried to seal it (there appears to be silicone or residue), and there are a few scratches that make me suspect this unit could have been a return. I tried tightening it, but it still leaks and it may be stripped.

This is not what you should expect out of a normal new unit, but I want to mention it because it’s the reason I’m holding off on the field test until it’s fixed.

Pros

• A lever action gas Airsoft rifle is just plain fun (and there aren’t tons of these around)

• Classic look with real wood + brass butt plate, but still has modern utility with M-LOK up front

• Feels solid in the hands (doesn’t feel cheap)

• Top Picatinny rail makes optics easy (and you’ll want optics since there are no sights)

• 25-round internal magazine keeps the outside profile clean

• Enlarged lever loop is great for gloves or cold-weather play

• Lanyard ring / sling hoop makes it easy to carry

• Speed loader makes loading fast once you get the hang of it

• You can run it more compact by skipping the mock suppressor (it’s optional)

Cons

• The internal 25-round magazine is awkward to load without the speed loader, don’t lose it

• Green gas performance is temperature sensitive, which can affect consistency in colder weather

• Not a fast follow-up shooter, you must work the lever for every shot (part of the charm, but it’s a limitation)

• You’ll need to add your own sights/optic (none included)

• The included mock suppressor must be removed to fill gas, which adds a little extra handling

Final Thoughts

The A&K M1873R is a really cool “modern western” mashup, classic lever action styling with real wood and brass, but with M-LOK and a top rail so you can build it out however you want. Lever guns force you to slow down and actually enjoy the shooting experience, and that’s a big part of why they’re so popular (even outside of Airsoft).

Once I get the leak issue sorted on my sample, I definitely want to do the field test, because this is exactly the kind of unique platform that deserves to be shot and evaluated properly. On the table, it looks great, feels solid, and offers a lot of customization potential, you just have to go in knowing it’s lever-action manual cycling, it uses green gas/propane (so temperature matters), and you’ll need to add your own optic since there are no sights included.

In this Table Top Review, we’re taking a detailed look at the G&G ESG B-10 2.0 Gas Airsoft Shotgun. This is a very unique Airsoft platform, as it’s fully gas powered—no spring, no AEG system, and no blowback. Just straight gas operation.

Gas-powered Airsoft shotguns are fairly rare, and this one stands out even more because it’s essentially a semi-automatic gas shotgun capable of firing five or ten BBs per trigger pull. That makes it a serious close-quarters option and something I’m genuinely excited to field test.

Design & Layout:

The ESG B-10 2.0 uses a bullpup layout, which keeps the overall length short while still allowing for a reasonably long inner barrel. Despite its compact size, the gun feels very solid and heavy, likely due to its internal gas system and metal components.

Controls & Operation:

The selector switch serves as both the safety and burst selector, allowing you to choose between five or ten BBs per trigger pull. It’s ambidextrous and easy to reach from either side.

One thing worth noting is how the selector cycles internally. There can be a one-shot delay when switching between modes, meaning the first pull after switching may still fire the previous burst count before changing over.

The trigger is double-action only, as there’s no blowback system. While heavier than a single-action trigger, it’s not excessive—especially considering the amount of ammunition being fired with each pull.

Magazine Compatibility:

The ESG B-10 2.0 uses standard AR/M4-style Airsoft magazines, including mid-caps and high-caps. It ships with a 105-round mid-cap, but you can easily use other compatible magazines from your collection.

The magazine locks in securely but does require a firm push to seat properly.

Gas System:

The gas reservoir is housed in the stock and holds a substantial amount of gas. Based on initial handling and other reviewers feedback, you should be able to fire multiple magazines before needing to refill, despite the high BB output per shot.

This is something we’ll fully confirm in the upcoming field test.

Final Thoughts:

The G&G ESG B-10 2.0 Gas Airsoft Shotgun is a standout platform in the Airsoft world. Its ability to fire massive bursts of BBs with each trigger pull makes it an ideal close-quarters and room-clearing tool, while the bullpup design keeps it compact and maneuverable.

If you’re looking for something different from the usual AEG rifles, this gas shotgun offers a lot of fun, solid performance potential, and serious intimidation factor.

In this Table Top Review, we’re taking a detailed look at the KJ Works KP-19S CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. I’ve already reviewed the standard KP-19 in the past, and while the two pistols share a lot in common, there are some important differences between the KP-19 and the KP-19S that are worth covering.

I’m not entirely sure what the “S” officially stands for, possibly Sport—but interestingly, I’d actually argue that the non-S KP-19 is the more competition-oriented version, especially for IPSC-style Airsoft shooting. That said, the KP-19S still offers excellent performance, strong build quality, and a feature-rich design.

Performance between the two should be nearly identical, and if you’ve already watched the field test for the standard KP-19, expect similar results from the S version.

Walk-Around & Handling:

The KP-19S is a large pistol with a fairly wide grip. Shooters with smaller hands may find it bulky, but balance and weight distribution are excellent. At just under two pounds, it feels solid without being overly heavy.

Notable features include:

• Slide cutouts on the top and sides

• CNC-style gold/brass-colored fluted barrel visible through the slide

• Fiber-optic sights that are extremely easy to pick up

• Ambidextrous safety

• Reversible magazine release

Final Thoughts:

The KJ Works KP-19S is a high-quality, full-featured CO2 blowback Airsoft pistol with excellent build quality, strong recoil, and competition-inspired styling. While it lacks some of the modular competition features of the KP-19 non-s version, it offers a cleaner, streamlined look and the same reliable performance.

If you’re looking for a quality CO2 Airsoft pistol with a fantastic trigger, solid blowback, and premium construction, the KP-19S is a strong contender.

Accuracy: Be sure to watch my full Field Test Shooting Video for the KJWorks M700 Take Down Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle to see its performance in detail. I only tested it indoors at my Sea Can range due to cold weather conditions, which aren’t ideal for gas guns. Shooting distance was limited to about 30 feet, but I plan to revisit this rifle outdoors in better weather for longer-range results. At 30 feet, the M700 produced a tight 1-inch grouping and averaged around 400 FPS using .25-gram Airsoft BB’s.
Note: I did encounter some magazine loading issues when fully loaded, BBs from the right side of the double-stack magazine occasionally jammed and didn’t feed properly into the breach.

Build Quality: The KJWorks M700 Take Down Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle feels solid and well-made throughout. The fit and finish are good, and all the mechanical components functioned properly aside from the occasional BB feed issue. I like the textured synthetic stock and soft rubber butt pad. This rifle features a lot of metal construction, including the bolt, inner and outer barrel, magazine, sling and bipod mounts, trigger and guard, Picatinny rail, and safety. It feels robust and well-balanced overall.

Realism: The KJWorks M700 is modeled after the Remington 700 platform, giving it a very authentic hunting rifle look. The Airsoft version mimics the real firearm closely in both form and function. Since it’s powered by Green Gas rather than a spring, the bolt action is smooth, light, and realistic to operate. All the parts that would normally be metal or steel on the actual Remington M700 are also made out of Metal with the Airsoft version. The stock is also Fiber reinforced like the real stele version.

Comments:
I’ve tested a few spring bolt-action Airsoft rifles before, and while those are simple (just load BBs and shoot), the gas-powered M700 offers a much smoother and faster bolt operation, perfect for quick follow-up shots. When seconds matter and targets are closing in, that speed can make a real difference.

The KJWorks M700 Take Down Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle is a great ready-to-shoot platform out of the box and can be easily upgraded with a sling, bipod, and of course, a scope, since it comes without sights.

My review unit had a minor magazine issue, but I believe this was specific to the sample I received and not a widespread problem. Overall, it’s a very capable and well-built Airsoft sniper rifle that delivers solid power, realism, and usability.

I first reviewed the KJWorks M700P (the “P” for Power) back in 2018, so I was curious to see how the standard take-down version would perform. Ideally you’d mount a 3x (or higher) optic and test it at outdoor sniper ranges more typical for Airsoft sniper play, but the weather was rubbish for this session. Like last time with the M700P, I ended up doing the review inside my sea-can airgun range, which is fine for chronograph work but limits targets to about 30 feet.

For the indoor velocity test of the KJWorks M700 Take Down Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle, I shot .25-gram plastic BBs through my Chrony. Over a five-shot string I averaged 403 fps, slowest was 400 fps and the fastest 406 fps, so reasonably consistent for a gas rifle. The gas mag was fully topped up with propane and the ambient temp was about 17°C (63°F). Lighter .20-gram BBs would of course register higher speeds, though in sniper builds you’ll often end up using heavier BBs than .20 g for better downrange performance.

Using the same .25-gram BBs for a close-range accuracy test at roughly 30 feet, the M700 Take-Down put most shots into about a 1-inch group with one odd flyer out to the right, could have been a bad BB or user error. I ran the test with a simple red dot since the rifle ships with no sights and I only needed something quick on the Picatinny rail for close work. I also had trouble getting all ten rounds from the 10-round mag onto the target because of some misfeeds / misreads; I don’t recall the M700P exhibiting this behavior, so it may be a quirk specific to my test unit.

Overall the KJWorks M700 Take Down Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle is a nicely executed sniper-style Airsoft rifle — very easy to dismantle and carry in a pack, reasonably gas-efficient, quiet, and powerful enough for the role. The feeding hiccup seemed to crop up when the follower was near the top of the stack (spring tension at its peak) and mainly affected BBs on the right side of the double-stack magazine — which makes me suspect a defect in my sample rather than a design choice. It doesn’t come with sights, so you’ll need to pick up a scope or optic, and personally I prefer the take-down model for its extra versatility.

In this Field Test Shooting video for the Umarex Marlin Old West CO2 BB Revolver I check real-world performance: first I measure fps using a fresh standard 12-gram CO2 cartridge and 4.5 mm steel BBs through my chronograph. After that I hang a paper target at 30 feet and fire 10 rounds using the Single-Action-Only trigger to see what kind of grouping the revolver delivers straight out of the box. If you haven’t already seen my Tabletop Video Review for the John Wayne Marshal CO2 BB Revolver, watch that for full specs and close-up footage.

For the velocity test I put five shots through the chronograph. The slowest registered 345 fps and the fastest hit 416 fps, with an average of 403 fps, right in line with Umarex’s claimed 400 fps. Perfect for popping cans and casual plinking out to roughly 30–40 feet. The test was done inside a sea can at about 18°C (≈64°F), which gives a middle-of-the-road CO2 performance; warmer weather will typically push velocities higher.

Next I set the paper target on my pellet trap at 30 feet. Using my usual semi-rested position (hands braced on a front sandbag and seated on a stool), I fired 10 rounds with the Marlin Old West. The group measured roughly 4 inches, a bit left and just slightly high from the bullseye — not far off and similar to the grouping I got with the John Wayne Marshal CO2 BB Revolver, although the Marlin’s velocity numbers were notably higher.

The Umarex Marlin Old West CO2 BB Revolver is an inexpensive, mostly-plastic Single Action Army style revolver. There’s a fair amount of polymer in the construction, but it still feels solid despite being on the lighter side. That lighter weight can make the gun feel a bit twitchy in the hand compared with heavier replicas, which can affect accuracy. At the time of this video the Canadian price was about $99, which makes it good value — especially since it loads 18 rounds quickly compared with traditional shell-loading revolvers, meaning more trigger time with less fuss. Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Umarex Marlin Old West CO2 BB Revolver is single-action-only, so you must cock the hammer before each shot. That removes most of the trigger travel and effort, giving the Marshal a short, light, and easy-to-manage pull. It’s ideal for deliberate, accurate shooting, but less suited to action-style rapid fire unless you’ve got a very fast thumb.

Accuracy: I haven’t tested the Marlin Old West model specifically, but it should perform very similarly to the John Wayne Marshal CO2 BB revolver, they’re nearly identical aside from licensing, safety, and magazine placement. In my field test of the John Wayne Marshal it averaged closer to 360 fps rather than the claimed 420 fps and produced roughly a 4-inch, 10-shot group at 30 feet. Build Quality: There’s not a lot to get excited about in terms of materials, the Umarex Marlin Old West CO2 BB Revolver is mostly plastic with some internal metal parts like the barrel, trigger, hammer, and CO2 components. It follows the common two-half, screwed-together budget construction, which looks cleaner on the side where the screws are hidden. At just over a pound it’s fairly light. With relatively few moving parts, it should be reasonably reliable; the mechanical components do what they need to do and feel suitably solid for the price.

Realism: At first glance the John Wayne Marshal CO2 BB revolver resembles a Colt Single Action Army Revolver in shape and size, but it’s much lighter, about half the weight. The lack of real bullet openings in the cylinder (when viewed from the front) reduces realism. I’m used to the newer generation of revolvers with working cylinders and loadable, removable shells; those are pricier and hold fewer rounds, but they offer a much more authentic experience.

• 400 claimed fps is about perfect for plinking at ranges up 30-40 feet.

• I like the look with the all black receiver and simulated wood grips.

• CO2 Allen key is built into grip so always have it on hand and will not lose it.

• Marlin licensed and seems to be $50 less than the almost exact same John Wayne version.

Cons:

• Mostly plastic builds makes it a bit light in the hand.

• No fake shell holes in the front of the cylinder, could have added this for a more genuine look.

• Not a big fan of the clamshell plastic packaging.

Comments:
The Umarex Marlin Old West CO2 BB Revolver is a solid choice if you want an old-west single-action cowboy BB shooter for less than the nearly identical John Wayne Marshal (it’s about $50 cheaper). If you want more authenticity, consider one of the shell-loading Single Action Army style revolvers, they cost more, shoot a bit slower, and carry fewer rounds, but they deliver a much higher level of realism.

Trigger Pull: The Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO2 BB Pistol’s trigger feels exactly like you’d expect from a low-cost double-action-only CO2 pistol. The trigger does the heavy lifting. You’re pulling against a fairly stiff internal hammer spring (inside the barrel assembly) until it releases, snaps the hammer back, and opens the valve to fire. Run through the 18-round mag fast and your trigger finger will definitely notice.

Accuracy: II’ve already completed a full field test of the Umarex DS11, which is a bit out of my usual order, so I can share performance feedback now. On average it clocked 382 fps over five shots on my chronograph. From my standard paper target at 30 feet, a 10-shot group measured roughly 2 inches and was well centered, with several rounds landing in the bull’s-eye. You can watch the video here!

Build Quality: The Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO2 BB Pistol is constructed almost entirely from plastic, keeping its weight just over a pound. While it lacks the heft of a full-metal replica, the lighter build makes it more forgiving if dropped on a hard surface. The fit and finish are solid, and its two-piece design secured mainly from the left side features very few moving parts or controls, which should contribute to excellent durability and reliability.

Realism: The Umarex DS11 is styled after the classic 1911 with a modern tactical look. It uses a double-action-only (DAO) trigger that’s relatively long and a bit heavy, not the short, feather-light feel of a true single-action 1911 trigger. The barrel is recessed and the CO2 is neatly hidden in the grips, so at a glance it could pass for the real thing. Up close, however, there are giveaways: a molded hammer, molded safety and slide-release, visible screws along the left side, and a seam where the two halves join.s.

• Low price well under $100 Canadian.

• Shoots pretty decent, almost 400 fps and a nice 2 inch grouping fairly well centered out of the box.

• Decent looking Replica of a modern 1911 Semi Auto Pistol. A lot more detail than most base non block CO2 BB Pistol.

• Has a picatinny rail for adding accessories if you want to.

• Double Action Trigger is pretty decent, Not going to be a super fast action shooter but it is manageable for a DAO trigger.

• Uses the standard all metal stick magazine found inmost of these NBB CO2 BB Pistols.

• I like the cut out in the slide showing off the gold inner barrel and ejection port.

• Safety is not the typical on off style, more thought went into this one adn it looks better too.

• Recessed barrel for added realism.

• CO2 tab is fairly well hidden.

Cons:

• Almost all plastic other than some internal metal parts like the barrel and spring and some other stuff I am sure.

• DOA trigger a bit heavy but about the same as other similar Airguns like this one.

• Sights are not adjustable and are all black with no white dots.

The Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO2 BB Pistol is a more thoughtfully designed and better-looking 4.5mm CO2 BB NBB Airgun than the typical budget options. It uses the common metal stick magazine, which is convenient since you more than likely have a bunch lying around and you can keep several preloaded and spend more time shooting and less time reloading on site. It also ships in a proper box, which adds to the premium feel. In my test at the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range it performed very well.

I took the Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO2 4.5mm BB Pistol out to the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range today for some hands-on testing to see how it performs in real-world conditions. I haven’t filmed the full Table Top Review Video for this model just yet, but that’s coming soon. For this initial session, I wanted to focus strictly on performance, specifically testing velocity and accuracy. I ran a quick multi-shot chronograph session to get an average fps reading and followed that up with a 10-shot grouping test at 30 feet to get a practical sense of how accurate this pistol is right out of the box.

For the chronograph test, I used a fresh 12-gram CO2 cartridge and standard 4.5mm steel BBs. The room temperature was about 20°C. I noticed the velocity seemed to climb slightly as the CO2 settled in, so I averaged out the last five readings for consistency. Those shots came in at 386, 383, 377, 385, and 377 fps, giving an average of 382 fps. That’s very close to the manufacturer’s claimed 400 fps, and I’d expect it to reach or even exceed that number under warmer conditions. Overall, the DS11 delivered solid and consistent power for a non-blowback CO2 pistol.

Moving on to accuracy, I set up a target at 30 feet and fired from a semi-rested position, seated on a stool with my hands braced against a sandbag for stability. The Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO2 4.5mm BB Pistol shot impressively well-centered right out of the box, which is a big plus since the sights are non-adjustable. My 10-shot group measured about 2.5 inches, with several rounds landing right in the bullseye. With a bit more trigger time and familiarity with the gun’s feel, I’m confident I could tighten that group even further.

All things considered, the Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO₂ BB Pistol makes an excellent entry-level 4.5mm BB pistol for anyone looking for a tactical-style 1911 that’s affordable, reliable, and fun to shoot. Despite its simple, mostly polymer build, it looks great and feels comfortable in the hand. You can expect over 100 shots per CO₂2 cartridge, making it efficient and economical to shoot. Performance-wise, it’s got good power, accurate shooting right out of the box, and a straightforward design that should prove dependable over time.

Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Umarex AER16 AEG full-auto BB Carbine, like most AEGs, isn’t a purely mechanical trigger. It works as an electrical on/off switch, so it feels more like a light, short single-action pull. You’ll notice a small delay between pulling the trigger and the BB firing because the trigger starts a motor that first pulls the spring and piston back. Once the spring is fully drawn and released, it compresses air that propels the 4.5 mm steel BB. Using a higher-voltage battery reduces that delay, since the motor spins faster and returns the spring more quickly, which also raises the full-auto rate of fire.

Accuracy: I have not Field Test Reviewed the Umarex AER16 AEG full-auto BB Carbine or even tried it out yet so far, I hope to make my Field Test Shooting Video for it as soon as I can as I am very interested in how the AER16 performs compared to the Barra 400e which is a very similar AEG 4.5mm BB firing Airgun. If the AER16 shoots anything like the Barra 400e,I can expect it to shoot pretty close to 400 fps, with near 1 inch 10 round groupings in semi auto and slightly larger groups in full auto. Build Quality: The Umarex AER16 AEG full-auto BB Carbine is metal and Plastic in design with a plastic hand guard and receiver. That said, it does have a lot of metal parts including the barrel, buffer tube, magazine, trigger, charging handle, magazine release, dust cover, inner bolt shield, selector switch, sling mount and other bolts and pins! It feels very solid when holding it and the fit and finishes is really good. Since there is less metal all around then you find with the Barra 400e, this makes the AER16 a fair bit lighter coming around 5 pounds versus the Barra’s 7.5 pounds.

Realism: The Umarex AER16 AEG full-auto BB Carbine is based on the AR platform in terms of its overall design without any specific licensing other than Umarex branding. It does have a lot of working parts including the charging handle which opens the dust cover showing the simulated bolt. There is no Hop-up like you would find in a similar Airsoft Rifle but with BB’s this is not so much of a requirement. You will also find a working magazine release for the all metal magazine along with a working selector for semi and full auto shooting. The all metal buffer tube allows for an AR style rear adjustable stock which I would assume you can swap out for just about any AR buffer tube based rear stock.

Comments:

The Umarex AER16 AEG full-auto BB Carbine is a nice addition from Umarex to what Barra came out with a year or so ago with their 400e AEG Rifle. I like that the AER16 is a true AR Replica which is a very popular design and it is a lot lighter than the kind of heft 7.5 pound Barra 400e which may be a bit much for some smaller or lighter shooters to handle. The Umarex AER16 AEG full-auto BB Carbine also has the advantage that it comes with an included 1.11V 1200mAH LiPo batter and USB Charger so no further purchasing is required to shoot it other than some BB’s which most Air gunners will normally have on hand. One last point to make is that the AER16 is the less expensive option over the Gen 2 Barra 400e that come in both metal and polymer version.

I had the chance to take the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Full Blowback Airsoft Pistol out for some testing today in the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range to see how it performs. I’ve already done my close-up tabletop breakdown (specs, build, pros/cons), so if you want the close-up visuals adn details, go check that video out. For this session I concentrated solely on performance, a quick 5-shot chronograph run to record velocity and a 10-round semi auto group at 30 feet followed by the rest of the mag in full auto to get a practical feel for out-of-the-box accuracy.

For the chronograph test I used a fresh 12-gram CO2 capsule with stand.25 gram Airsoft BBs, and the temperature was about 20°C. Five shots with .25 gram Airsoft BBs registered 301, 301, 291, 285, and 281 fps, averaging out to 292 fps. That’s within the expected range for a full-blowback CO2 pistol running heavier .25 gram Airsoft BBs, you’d see higher velocities with lighter .20 gram rounds, and it’s plenty adequate for Airsoft games and target work plinking.

On the accuracy side I fired from 30 feet using a semi-rested shooting position (hands braced on a sandbag while seated). In semi-auto the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Full Blowback Airsoft Pistol shot just slightly low and a touch left, producing roughly a 2-inch group with most rounds clustered reasonably well. Switch to full-auto, however, and it becomes almost impossible to keep on target, the pistol tended to climb high and stray to the right, putting most shots completely off the target. That full-auto behavior makes it poor for controlled rapid-fire engagement, but in semi-auto it’s much more manageable.

All told, the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Full Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a strong option if you like the Glock style or already own (or plan to own) a real-steel Glock. physically and mechanically it shares a very similar feel. KJWorks has a reputation for high-quality, well-made products, and this pistol is another solid example. If you don’t need official Glock licensing but want a Glock-based Airsoft pistol, the KP-18 is a great choice, especially for shooters who value realism and good build quality in a reasonably priced package.

I took the Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol out for some testing today to see how it performs in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Range. I’ve already done a close-up tabletop breakdown before (specs, build, pros/cons), so if you want the specifications and details along with more closeup video then go check that Table Top Review out. For this performance session, I concentrated solely on power and accuracy, a quick chronograph run to record velocity and a 10-round group at 30 feet to get a practical feel for out of the box accuracy.

For the chronograph test I used a fresh 12-gram CO2 capsule with standard BBs and the temperature was about 20°C. Five shots registered 475, 455, 466, 462, and 471 fps, which averages out to 466 fps. That’s a healthy number for a CO2 pistol in this class, plenty of power for backyard plinking. I have a feeling it will go through CO2 pretty quickly as it is really loud meaning there is a lot of CO2 being released with each shot.

The Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol grouped very well, landing around a 2-inch group with the majority of rounds tightly clustered on the bullseye. There was only one flyer that fell outside the primary group just up and to the left. The fiber optic front, and wide open rear sight are fixed, so you may need to adjust your point of aim if you want perfect vertical zero as each shooter will place shots a bit differently, but overall it was impressively centered for a budget pistol.

All told, the Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol is a well-powered, accurate little gun with a cheap price tag and a low cost to shoot. One caveat: it doesn’t use a typical removable stick magazine, you have to load it via the internal spring magazine, but that loading method has a silver lining: the forced pauses between reloads let the pistol warm up slightly, which can help maintain higher sustained fps over successive strings. For anyone wanting an inexpensive, reliable plinker with real punch and decent accuracy, this one is worth a look.

Trigger Pull: The trigger on the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol behaves like a true Single Action Only unit, pleasantly light with a fairly short travel. There’s a bit of initial take-up, but you can clearly sense the crisp break near the rear where the release occurs, extremely light, consistent, and free of any noticeable slack. Remember you’ll need to rack the slide to chamber the first BB; after that the blowback mechanism handles all subsequent cycling.

Accuracy: I haven’t yet fired the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol or produced a Field Test Performance video for it. However, I’ve already completed a full field and shooting test for the very similar KJWorks KP-13, so I’d expect comparable on-target performance between the two. I’ll post a full field test and shooting video for the KP-18 TBC down the road, stay tuned.

Build Quality: KJWorks pistols are generally well made, and I expect the KP-18 TBC to follow that pattern. Based on my hands-on time with the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol and my first impressions of the KP-18, fit and finish look excellent. As with other models, you’ll find metal and polymer components positioned where they would be on a real modern semi-auto pistol, which contributes to the solid, authentic feel.

Realism: The KJWorks KP-18 TBC is a close visual replica of the real-steel Glock G18-style pistol, albeit without official licensing. Umarex holds the Glock license for many BB and Airsoft models, and the fact that a green-gas magazine from the Umarex Glock 17 full-blowback fits the KP-18 suggests KJWorks may be manufacturing some Glock-pattern airguns for Umarex. Glock has historically objected to unlicensed replicas in North America, so how this will play out remains unclear. For now, both licensed and unlicensed options exist for buyers.

If you’re a Glock enthusiast seeking a realistic training piece, you can shoot more affordably and in more places, there are more choices than ever. If official licensing matters, Umarex is the go-to option, although I haven’t seen a full-auto Glock from them yet. For those who prioritize a full-auto-style experience, the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is as close to a real-steel Glock full-auto feel as you’re likely to find. I also appreciate the magazine interchangeability with some Umarex Glock mags if you already own a Glock 17 Airsoft pistol for instance. Whatever route you choose, it’s great to see more Glock-pattern airguns coming to market.

In this Umboxing Preview Video I take a quick look at tow Airsoft Guns from KJWorks, one is a Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle and one is a CO2 Full Blowback Airsoft Pistol. I don’t get into too many of the details or specifications as this is really the first time I have seen either of these Airsoft Guns in person, a full table top and field test video review will be coming up for both of these Airguns down the road but I did want to get them out there so everyone know these are either in the Replica Airguns Online Store or will be showing up soon.

The first item I grabbed out of the box was the KJWorks KP-18 TBC CO2 Full Blowback Airsoft Pistol which looks a lot like a Glock but with a full auto selector switch on the left side of the slide and it also is the TBC model so it comes with a barrel extension that attaches to the inner barrel and the option to add a mock suppressor to the outside barrel threads. This version comes with a CO2 magazine but I am sure there are option to use it with a Gas magazine also.

Next out of the box was the KJWorks M700 Take Down Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle which is a break down bolt action gas operated Sniper based Rifle as the name suggests. It is super easy to assemble and has a nice smooth bolt with the only sighting option being the addition of a scope added to the included picatinny rail. The base of this rifle is very heavy so it is is not a light weight rifle by any means.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol is what you’d expect from most double-action-only budget BB pistols — the trigger is doing all the heavy lifting. It has to pull back the fairly stiff internal hammer spring, in this case, the barrel assembly, until it hits the release point and snaps backwards, striking the valve and firing the BB. If you’re running through the 21-round magazine in quick succession, be prepared for a bit of a finger workout.

Accuracy: I haven’t done my full field test with the Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol yet, but that’s coming soon, I have no reason not to expect it to hit close to the claimed 495 fps and group shots in the 2–3 inch range at typical backyard distances. Unless I’m having an off day (Maybe two much coffee), it should perform right in line with what you’d expect from most budget NBB CO2 BB Pistols.

Build Quality: The Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol is made almost entirely of plastic, which keeps the weight down to around a pound. While it doesn’t have the heft of a replica made with more metal, the lighter build means it’s more forgiving if dropped on a hard surface. Fit and finish are solid, and this two half design that is essentially just screwed together from the left side has very few actual moving parts or controls so durability and reliability will be really good.

Realism: The Daisy 415 Powerline isn’t modeled after a specific firearm, but it carries a modern semi-auto aesthetic that gives it a realistic look. I would say it resembles what would like like if a 1911 and Glock had baby! The barrel is recessed, and the CO2 is hidden neatly inside the grips, so at a glance it could pass for a real handgun. Upon closer inspection, though, small tells, like the molded ejection port, visible screws along the left side of the gun, and the BB loading magazine along the top give away that it’s an airgun.

Pros:

• Daisy does their own thing and they did that with this one in terms of an internal magazine and not really t trying to copy any specific real steel gun in production. Will have to see how it performs when I shoot it.

• Decent claimed FPS rating of 495 fps.

• Non-blowback should get lots of shots per CO2.

• Picatinny rail on frame for adding on accessories.

• Easy to line up front fiber optic sight.

• CO2 tab is fully hidden inside the pistol grip.

• Double action trigger pull is long but not too heavy.

• Has a high capacity in the internal magazine.

• Simple design with not a lot of moving parts will make it reliable for a long time.

• I do like that some of the mechanical parts like the safety and trigger are metal

Cons:

• All plastic dual side gun for the most part with tell tale screws on the right side.

• No way to quick load with an extra magazine sine it has in internal magazine.

• Not going to be a fast action shooter with the longer heavier trigger.

• Would of been nice to have fiber optics on the rear sight.

Daisy is one company that often does their own thing and doesn’t just copy what the other companies are doing. The Daisy 415 Powerline CO2 BB Pistol is a good example of this as there really isn’t another Airgun I can think of that is super similar in design, Daisy does like to use internal channel type magazines, have seen ti on several of their Air Pistols in the past. Personally I prefer a stick magazine as you can get extra ones and then preload them so they are ready to go. With the Daisy Powerline 415 you will have to stop adn reload the internal magazine which will take a little bit longer to get back up and shooting. I do like the more realistic all metal safety selector as it is a twist lever more similar to what you would find on a real steel firearm rather than the simple plastic switch found on most low cost NBB Airguns these days. Hopefully when I test it out int the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range it will perform well.
