Long Awaited Item Mystery Box Unboxing - November 2024

This was a really fun Unboxing Video for me as I received something I feel a lot of Canadians might be really interested in protecting yourself in Canada is not a right especially if you use lethal force. So having a less lethal option is a really good idea.

Let’s get into what I found in this most recent Mystery Box in order of appearance…

The first item I unboxed was the KWC SP2022 CO2 NBB 4.5mm Steel BB Pistol. A pretty basic 4.5mm CO2 BB Pistol mostly made out of plastic but with a full size 21 round drop out metal magazine that does help a lot to add some much needed weight to this Airgun. It uses standard 12 gram CO2 with a claimed velocity of 450 fps.

Probably the most exciting item I pulled out of this months Mystery Box was the Gen2 Umarex P2P HDP 50 Rubber Ball purpose built Less-lethal solution for personal and family protection. Most of the similar Rubber ball Less-lethal Airguns I have tested generally do not pack enough punch to really be much of a deterrent in my opinion but the Gen2 Umarex P2P HDP 50 has a claimed 495 fps and when I tested it out after making this video it defiantly has some power. I would not want to be at the receiving end of this product especially in close proximity. The Gen2 Umarex P2P HDP 50 uses a traditional 12 gram CO2 and holds 6 rounds of rubber ball or powder ball, it does come with 10 of each to get you started.

Next I took a look at three KJWORKS Airsoft Pistols all of which came with CO2 Magazines, extension barrels and thread on tips. The KJWORKS KP-19, the KJWORKS M9A1 TBC, and the KJWORKS KP-13 TBC. As expected with KJWORKS Airsoft Guns, they looked really good and will be a joy to review and test out.

Last out of the Mystery Box was a new product from Umarex, a full sized Marlin Cowboy Lever Action BB Rifle in the style of the classic Red Ryder BB Gun but as mentioned in a larger size more suitable for an adult. Hey why do the kids get to have all the fun? The Umarex Marlin BB Rifle holds 650 rounds in its BB hopper and has a claimed fps pf 300. It also has an adjustable for elevation peep sight in the back with a metal lever and a Classic Faux Wood Finish.

Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun Field Test Review

I have reviewed a few other Umarex T4E .43 Caliber Paintball Airguns in the past so if you have watched any of those than you already have a pretty good idea what to expect from the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun. As with all my Field Test Shooting Videos I first test out the velocity in fps shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph and averaging them out. I then place a full magazine generally into a paper target setup 30 feet down ranged see what the accuracy looks like. Make sure to also watch my Table Top Video for the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun for more information about specifications, details and some close up video.

For my velocity test I placed a brand new 12 gram CO2 in the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun and shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph, getting an average fps of 322. The fastest shot hit a velocity of 331 fps with the slowest shot hitting 311 fps so all pretty close together. I was using standard .43 caliber rubber balls as they are a lot less messy here inside the indoor sea can Airgun shooting range. I didn't check the temperate but generally I keep iti comfortable, so around 20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Next up I shot a full magazine which is 8 rounds for the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun. Paintball guns are not known for their accuracy but I was impressed with the base grouping I got from the Umarex T4E PDP, It shot really well centered with 6 rounds all within about 3 inches of each other. 2 rounds did “wing out” a bit increasing the grouping to closer to about 6 inches but still a good grouping from a paintball gun design not so much to be super accurate but to be able to hit human sized targets ate realistic ranges which it does do very well.

I am not sure if this is the best test result for an Umarex T4E Paintball Airgun I have ever done but for sure it is one of the best for what I remember. Velocity was right on the mark and accuracy was again very good. I would be very confident in the performance of the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun out in the field. I also think it is one of the nicer looking Umarex T4E .43 Caliber Paintball Pistols but if you are more of a Glock or S&W person there are options form Umarex for you too so make sure to check out our selection of Paintball Airguns over on our our Canada and US Replica Airgun Stores.

Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun Table Top Review

Type: Paintball Gun.
Manufacturer: Umarex - T4E.
Model: Walther PDP.
Materials: Metal & Polymer.
Weight: 690 grams (1.52 pounds).
Barrel: Smooth bore.
Power Source: 1x12 gram CO2.
Action: Semi-Automatic with blowback action.
Ammo Type: .43 Caliber Paintball or Rubber Ball.
Ammo Capacity: 8-9 Rounds.
FPS: 300.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun feels a lot like a double action trigger in length of pull and weight. When you pull the trigger back, there is an inner barrel that retracts back into the magazine sealing off a Paintball for more efficient CO2 usage, but this does cause some trigger drag and friction. There is also a working trigger safety which is a nice safety feature.

Accuracy: So far I have not had the opportunity to test the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun out, so stay posted for a future Field Test Shooting video where I will see what kind of fps and accuracy we can expect from it. I have made a Field Test Shooting Videos for the Umarex T4E Walther PPQ M2 CO2 Blowback .42 Caliber Paintball Pistol so have a watch of that video as the performance of the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun should be about the same.

Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun is really very good, metal parts are where you would expect them to be, as in the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts. This gives the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun a nice 1.5 pound weight to it with the magazine in which makes the Paintball version pretty close to the real still version. The Umarex T4E PDP does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weight down. Fit and finish is also excellent.

Realism: The Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun is a very close replica of the real steel Walther PDP, from the fully licensed trademarks to the large .43 caliber diameter barrel. If you placed the Paintball version side by side with the real steel version, I doubt you would be able to easily tell them apart without actually handling them? You will find that the slide cycle distance is a much shorter than it would be with the real steel version, meaning that when the side cycles rearward or the slide catch is engaged, the slide does not go as far back as it should. Filed stripping the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun will require tools however.

Pros:

  • Really great weight and solid feeling gun.

  • Full Metal slide that locks back on the last shot.

  • All metal heavy full size drop out magazine adds some additional weight to the pistol.

  • Very Accurate Walther PDP replica, almost indistinguishable from the real steel version until you really examine it up close.

  • Everything works pretty much like the real gun so a great training tool.

  • White dot sights front and back, rear sight is adjustable for windage.

  • Working trigger safety.

  • Fit and finish is excellent.

  • Magazine spring release really shoots the magazine out making it easy to grab.

  • Can mount a red dot on the rear of the slide and comes with lots of mounting plate options.

  • Comes with a nice hard shell case for storing it in and locking it up.

  • Love the .43 caliber barrel opening, adds to realism.

Cons:

  • The trigger is a bit long as it shoots more like a double action trigger.

  • Magazine only holds 8-9 rounds, so you are going to need extra magazines or get quick at reloading.

  • Blowback action is not full blowback, more like a typical partial blowback CO2 BB airgun.

Comments:

Umarex and T4E working together have put out a nice line of .43 caliber CO2 Blowback Replica Paintball Training guns focusing on the Walther, Glock and HK Brands as Umarex holds a license with all of these gun manufactures. The realism is excellent not only in looks but also in function making their use as training weapons that much more valuable. If you are looking for the most realistic Replica Paintball Pi thenstol, Umarex T4E products are your best option and it is nice that we now have several models to choose from that may coincide with your standard side arm of choice.

Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle Table Top Review

Type: GBB Airsoft Rifle
Manufacturer: Umarex / KWA
Model: HK 416 A4
Materials: Mostly all metal.
Weight: 7.75 pounds (3.5 kg).
Total Length: 31.1-34.4 inches (79-88cm).
Barrel: 15.4 inches (39cm) non rifled.
Propulsion: Gas Blowback.
Action: Single action semi & full auto.
Ammunition Type: .6mm plastic Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity:30 round magazines.
FPS: 400 fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle is typical of a single action only trigger found on the AR platform. It has a very slight take up with just a little bit of resistance part way, and then a predictable light break. The reset has a noticeable click to it and it is also very short allowing for very fast semi auto shooting. Of course you can always put it in full auto and let her rip, but you will have to restrain yourself since there are only 30 rounds in the magazine like you would find in a standard AR.

Accuracy: Like most of my Table Top Videos, they are made prior to shooting the gun I am reviewing, so we are all going to have to wait until I make my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle. Where I will be testing out the velocity in fps using my Chronograph, and I will also shoot the Umarex HK 416 A4 in both semi auto and full auto to see how tight of groupings I can get at least at 30 feet away. I fully expect the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle to perform well as this is a very high quality product made by KWA.

Build Quality: The Build quality on the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle is outstanding with metal everywhere you would find it on a real steel AR. Of course the rear adjustable stock is plastic. Because of all the metal front to back, the Umarex HK 416 A4 is on the heavy side at 7.75 pounds, so packing it around all day may be a bit tiring but well worth the joy and pride when holding it. Fit and finish is also excellent, you will pay more for this GBB Airsoft Rifle but the material are nothing but quality.

Realism: The main thing you get from a GBB Airsoft Rifle over an AEG Airsoft Rifle, is not just quality components and build materials, but the user experience which is so much more realistic than shooting an AEG. The Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle just feels so real in weight, how the controls all work, the full cycling of the bolt with a nice heavy and snappy blowback recoil on your shoulder. Even the way the buffer tube spring rings after each shot just makes this GBB Airsoft Rifle a joy to shot and experience. Sure it only holds 30 rounds per mag and shot consistency will vary depending on your shooting environment as all gas guns can be temperamental in colder weather. That said, a real AR does not hold 500 rounds in a mag and they can also be a bit finicky on the battle field.

Pros:

  • It’s GBB, love the realism of GBB Airsoft Rifles, it doesn’t get any more fun.

  • Tons of metal all over this rifle weighing in at almost 8 pounds.

  • Lots of accessory mounting options with the Precision CNC machined Quad Picatinny top side and bottom rails.

  • Full adjustable metal pop up sights.

  • H&K Lisence via Umarex.

  • 6 position adjustable AR compatible rear stock.

  • Trigger feel is awesome, feels like a real steel AR trigger, you can’t even get close with an AEG.

  • Ambidextrous selector switches for left and right handers.

  • The threaded barrel can attach a silencer or other flash hidders.

  • All parts work just like the real steel version.

  • Can filed strip just like a real steel AR.

Cons:

  • Low magazine capacity as compared to an AEG.

  • Will be subject to cold weather conditions and cool down.

  • Very expensive to have and own such realism.

Comments:

The Umarex Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle is for sure not going to be for everyone as it is with out a doubt a very expensive Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle. It may not even be your best option out on the Airsoft Field, as more than likely you are going to get out gunned by everyone else using an AEG with their 500 round magazines and endless torrent of BB’s coming at you. If you just want the most realistic Airsoft Experience, than look no further than the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle, as it does not get more realistic than this and if you want to replicate your real steel AR perhaps for training and practice sessions, than there is no way you can beet the Umarex HK 416 A4. For those with deep wallets that want the ultimate and most realistic AR you can get, you can’t go wrong with the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle.

EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: Distributed by EMG.
Model: SAI 2011 DS 4.3.
Materials: Mostly metal (Aluminum) and plastic.
Weight: 1.94 pounds (878 grams).
Total Length: 8.25 inches (210mm).
Barrel: 4 inches (102mm) metal rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x1.
Action: Semi auto Blowback, SAO trigger.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity: 30+1.
FPS: Claimed 380-430.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol like what you would find on a traditional 1911 style pistol so it is Single Action Only and is nice and short and light in weight. Being a single action pistol for your first shot you will need to pull back the slide to chamber a round into the barrel which will also cock the hammer for you. the blowback action will cycle the slide for you from that point on automating the action.

Accuracy: I have not made my Field test Shooting Video or even tested out the EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol yet or even shot it at all so I can not comment on the performance other than the claimed velocity of (380-430 fps) which does seem a bit high to me? My plan is to have this info available next week when I make my Field test Shooting Video so stay posted of that video coming out shortly…

Build Quality: The EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a well made Airsoft Pistol with quality materials throughout. You will find a machined aluminum slide an aluminum frame and a full metal drop out magazine. The barrel is Titanium Nitride Coated and the only real plastic parts I could find would be the grips, the gas tube and the hop-up wheel. The stainless coating on this Airsoft pistol looks fairly thick and so should stand up over time with less wear showing.

Realism: The EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol to me is not a true 2011 design as it does not have the once piece grip/trigger guard design found in 2011 pistols. It is double stack so that fits with the naming convention but I would say it is more like a combination of the Salient Arms SAI Red and SAI Red H. It does check all the boxes for realism in terms of function, looks and feel with all the working parts you expect on a Replica Airsoft Pistol including being able to fully field strip it.

Pros:

  • Superior Performance and 1:1 Scale Functionality.

  • Machined Aluminum Alloy Frame and Slide.

  • Rugged Reliability without sacrificing Weight.

  • Officially licensed by Salient Arms International.

  • Front and Rear Combat Style Sights with integrated Forward Fiber Optic.

  • Machined Anti-Glare Slide Top.

  • Ambidextrous Safety and Squared Trigger.

  • Titanium Nitride Style SAI Barrel for added durability.

  • On-Frame Integrated Accessory Rail.

  • Skeletonized trigger and hammer.

  • Options of both Green Gas and CO2 Magazines.

  • Deep Engraving with Real Steel Training Weapon Grade External Finish, Look, and Feel.

Cons:

  • Has orange barrel tip. But can be removed with some work.

  • No white dot or fiber optics on rear sight.

  • Not really a True 2011 in design as the name suggests.

Comments:

I am a huge 1911/2011 fan and so the EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol really appeals to me. I like the compact design of the EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 yet it has a nice high capacity double stack magazine that gives this Airsoft Pistol a bit more girth in the hands which for me is OK as I have pretty large hands. I like that you have the option of shooting CO2 or Green Gas depending on what magazine you are using. This version comes with a CO2 Magazine, but you can purchase a green gas magazine if you prefer using gas over CO2. I like the modern look with the gold barrel and skeletonized trigger and hammer. The price is on the higher side but sometimes you have to pay a little bit more to get the additional quality and to have a gun that really stands out.

September 2024 Mystery Box Unboxing Video

In this Mystery Boxing Video I get to take a look at 4 new Airgun Products and give you my first impressions along with a few specifications about each of them but not in a lot of details as I have not had an opportunity to research any of them as this my first time seeing them.

First out of the Mystery box is a new Umarex T4E .43 Caliber CO2 Blowback Paintball Pistol with Walther licensing called the Umarex T4E PDP. I have reviewed similar styled T4E .43 caliber CO2 Blowback Pistols in the past and this one should perform and function similarly.

The next Airgun I pulled out out of the box was the EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol, a really nice 1911 styled Airsoft Pistol with a stainless finish and gold barrel with a CO2 Magazine. This one looks and feels really nice.

Staying with the pistols that came in this Mystery Box, I got my first look at the Umarex Markpoint .177 Caliber Break Barrel Pellet Pistol that has a bit of a utilitarian look and feel to it. This one is the longer barrel version and has a claimed fps of 395 using alloy pellets so we will see what it can get with more traditional lead pellets when I make my Field Test Video for it down the road a bit.

The last item out of the Mystery Box was another Umarex product, a fun CO2 BB Rifle with H&K licensing called the HK416. This semi auto and 6 round Burst internal Blowback CO2 BB Rifle is a lot like the Steel Storm and Steel Strike from Umarex but a little bit larger I would say and with H&K Licensing so more of a true Replica Airgun.

I will be making full Table Top and Field Test Videos for all of these items shortly so keep an eye out for those videos but for now you can at least get an idea what these Airgun Products will offer.

Full Auto Fun Summer 2024 WE AK74UN Airsoft

Here is Bonus Video Five in my series of Full Auto Fun videos I make each summer where I pick a few Full Auto Airguns and record some fun outside shooting with them. In this years Full Auto Fun Video series I do a bit of a walk around on my property and shoot a bunch of water filled pop cans. Maybe this doesn’t sound super exciting but I do use some really creative camera angles to capture it all which makes it lot more interesting to watch for sure!

My Airguns of choice in this years Full Auto Fun Series are all 4.5mm BB Full Auto Airguns this time around. They are the Barra 400e 4.5mm BB AEG Full Auto BB Rifle, the KWA Mini UZI Blowback CO2 4.5mm BB Machine Gun and the the Crosman A4-P Blowback CO2 4.5mm BB Pistol.

In this Fifth Bonus Full Auto Fun Video I bring out a past Full Auto Fun Airgun that I just couldn’t resist takin out for some full auto fun once again. The WE AK74UN Gas Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Rifle has got to be one of the hardest blowback Airguns I have shot, I would say even a bit more blowback feel than the KWA Mini UZI! The WE AK74UN Gas Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Rifle also does a great job of keeping Airsoft BB’s on target even in full auto with all that recoil as you will see in this video as I dial it in part way through my walk about. Unfortunately we do not sell anything like this anymore at least in Airsoft, the closest thing to it is the Crosman AK1 Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle which is still a lot of fun with a bit less recoil but a higher rate of fire.

Full Auto Fun Summer 2024 Crosman A4-P AR Pistol

Here is video three in my series of Full Auto Fun videos I make each summer where I pick a few Full Auto Airguns and record some fun outside shooting with them. In this years Full Auto Fun Video series I do a bit of a walk around on my property and shoot a bunch of water filled pop cans. In this third Full Auto Fun video I test out the Crosman A4-P AR Pistol and like my other videos it was not “picture perfect” or should I say “Video Perfect”… My cameras actually cooperated pretty good this time around, but one of my magazines had an issue (May have been me), so I had to switch over to my trusty KWA 1911 CO2 Blowback BB pistol to finish the job, good ting I had it on me, got to expect the unexpected!

Full Auto Fun Summer 2024 KWA Mini UZI

Here is video two in my series of Full Auto Fun videos I make each summer where I pick a few Full Auto Airguns and record some fun outside shooting with them.

In this second Full Auto Fun video I test out the classic KWA Mini UZI Blowback CO2 4.5mm BB Machine Gun, at least with this video I did actually shoot in full auto but the video did not go without a few hiccups as my HoverAir Drone decided I was stopping for too long to take my shots and turned itself off a couple of times. And my Meta Glasses decided to get chunky on me and lower their frame rate down to a rather hard to watch frame per second. I did eventually make it though this video but it cold have gone better. No I am not redoing this one as it was shot in Full Auto this time which is what I promised. I can not promise all my tech gear will cooperate exactly s expected but I was able to get some decent footage overall if you can ignore the choppy video for the Meta Glasses for part of the video.

Full Auto Fun Summer 2024 Barra 400e

I try to make at least one series of Full Auto Fun video each summer where I pick a few Full Auto Airguns and record some fun outside shooting with them.

In this first Full Auto Fun video I start with the Barra 400e 4.5mm BB AEG Full Auto BB Rifle, but in the all the camera and audio setup confusion, I forgot to put it in Full Auto (getting old), so this is really not a Full Auto Fun Video, it was still fun and I hope you enjoy it anyway. The other videos in this Full Auto Fun Series are for sure in Full Auto and I will be taking out the Barra 400e and give it another go in Full Auto this time so stay posted for the true Full Auto Fun Video for the Barra 400e shortly!

EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

In this velocity and accuracy Field Test Shooting Video of the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol, I test out what the velocity is in feet per second (FPS) using a brand new 12 gram CO2 loading up .20 gram plastic 6mm Airsoft BB’s by shooting 5 rounds through my trusted Chronograph. Salient Arms claims 375 to 390 fps which is on the higher side for many blowback Airsoft Pistols. I then setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range here in the Replcia Airguns Sea Can, and shoot 10 rounds at it using a semi rested shooting position to find out how the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol shoots in terms of if it is anywhere near the bullseye out of the box and if it can get a decently tight grouping. If you have not already watched my Table Top Video Review for the EMG SAI BLU, then make sure to watch it for details, specifications and some nice close up 4k video.

First up in my Field Test of my velocity test of the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol, I shot my standard 5 rounds through the Chronograph and then averaged them out. The slowest shot was 392 fps while the fastest shot hit 399 fps, this averaged 395 fps which was slightly higher than the claimed maximum of 390! Temperature was maybe a bit under 20 degrees Celsius, I would say closer to 18 or 19 which is in the low to mid 60’s or so degrees Fahrenheit, so it is possible for the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol to hit even higher fps velocity in warmer temperatures.

I then set things up for the accuracy portion of this test and placed a fresh paper target 30 feet downrange, using a semi rested shooting position (hands rested on a sandbag up front and sitting on a stool in the back) I proceeded to place 10 rounds into the target with the EMG SAI BLU Airsoft Pistol. The EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol did end up shooting fairly well centered on the target with some rounds even entering the bullseye for me. I found it shot just slightly to the right but not by much, in terms of elevation it averaged right in the center. The grouping for the 10 rounds was about 3 inches total but I feel the .20 gram BB’s where a bit of a light choice for this Airsoft Pistol as the velocity is higher than some and a heavier Airsoft BB’s would have probably gotten me better results.

I really enjoyed shooting the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol. Everything about it feels really good, the single action trigger is perfect, nice and short, light and crisp, the slide has such a snappy response to it with more blowback feel than I was expecting for a lighter slide. The overall feel and weight of the gun just feels good in the hand, not too heavy or light, the perfect weight to pack around as a dedicated sidearm for sure. It also has that Glock look and feel to it but with its own unique look so you won’t be just another dude with a Glock, not that that’s a bad thing but it does get a bit boring… The EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol is a premium Airsoft Pistol so you will pay a bit more but you will get a really nice gun in terms of looks, originality and performance.

EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: Distributed by EMG.
Model: SAI BLU.
Materials: Metal and plastic.
Weight: 1.3 pounds (570 grams).
Total Length: 8.5 inches (216mm).
Barrel: 4 inches (102mm) metal rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x1.
Action: Semi auto Blowback, SAO trigger.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity: 25.
FPS: Claimed 375-390.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol like a Glock is single action only and it is very light and short, perhaps lighter and shorter than a Glock trigger in my opinion. The EMG SAI BLU does have a working trigger safety similar to a Glock and for storage there is also a serial number switch located just in front of the trigger guard where you would expect it to be.

Accuracy: I have not made my Field test Shooting Video or even tested out the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol so far so I can not comment on the performance other than the claimed velocity of (375-390 fps). My plan is to have this info available next week when I make my Field test Shooting Video so stay posted of that video coming up shortly…

Build Quality: The EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol is very well made with quality materials throughout. You will find a machined aluminum slide with lightening cuts, aggressive slide serrations with SAI rollmarks, an injected moulded polymer frame and a full metal drop out magazine. The SAI brass color removable back-strap and magazine release are also made out of metal and the backstop can be swapped out for other sizes but you will have to acquire those on your own.

Realism: The EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol is custom designed and built by Salient Arms to fill the void between M&P ergonomics and Glock reliability. So it is not an exact replica but it does share its looks to a certain degree with a Glock, but I am sure Salient Arms did there best to not cross any lines in terms of infringement on other product designs. In terms of realistic operation the EMG SAI BLU functions and operates as you would expect a real steel pistol like it is designed around to operate.

Pros:

  • Nice light and short single action trigger.

  • Fit and finish is excellent, with qaulity build materials.

  • Fairly light weight pistol, easy side arm to pack around ready when you need it.

  • Fiber optic front sight for quick and easy shot placements.

  • Frame integrated 20mm accessory rail is ideal for mounting weapon lights and other accessories.

  • Threaded, fluted SAI style outer barrel (EMG SAI licensed proprietary convex thread cap included)

  • SAI brass color removable backstrap and magazine release for added weight to enhance balance while shooting.

  • Full size metal magazine holds the CO2 and 25 Airsoft BB’s which adds additional weight and balance.

  • Most mechanical parts work just like a steel version of this style of modern semi auto pistol.

  • Unique individualized serial number laser-engraved on every model.

  • Very snappy and responsive slide action.

  • Machined aluminum slide with lightening cuts, aggressive slide serrations with SAI rollmarks.

Cons:

  • Mine did not come with the EMG SAI licensed proprietary convex thread barrel cap .

  • Will need to purchase additional back straps separately if required.

  • Price is a bit on the higher side.

Comments:

The EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol is a really well designed and built pistol and may be an option for someone looking for a Glock but that maybe want’s to have a more unique pistol with many of the features and benefits a Glock offers. I’m not sure I like the brass/gold highlights but I would say it is not over the top. I am especially impressed with how smooth the slide cycle feels, how snappy the return is and the spring feels the perfect amount. I am expecting when I load a 12 gram CO2 and actually fire the EMG SAI BLU Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol, the blowback operation will be really good! You will pay a bit of a premium for this Airsoft Pistol but it does have premium build and materials in it so it will be worth the slightly higher cost.

Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol Field Test Review

In this shooting velocity and accuracy Field Test Video of the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol, I test out what the velocity is in fps using propane gas along with .20 gram plastic 6mm Airsoft BB’s by placing 6 rounds through my Chronograph. Umarex claims 365 fps just above the 360 Canada minimum import regulation. I then setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range in the Sea Can and shoot 10 rounds into it using a semi rested shooting position to find out if the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol shoots near the bullseye on the target out of the box and if it can get a decently tight grouping. If you have not already watched my Table Top Video Review for the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol, then make sure to do so for details, specifications and some nice close in 4k video.

First, my velocity test of the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol, I shot 6 rounds through my Chronograph and then averaged them all out. The slowest shot was 354 fps while the fastest shot hit 378 fps, this averaged 362 fps which was really close to the Umarex claim of 365 fps. Temperature was maybe a bit under 20 degrees Celsius, I would say closer to 17 or 18 which is in the low 60’s or so degrees Fahrenheit, so I would expect a bit higher fps velocity in warmer temperatures, maybe as high as 380 or so…

As promised, I then placed a fresh paper target 30 feet downrange and using a semi rested shooting position (hands rested on a sandbag up front and sitting on a stool in the back - works for me). I proceeded to place 10 rounds into the target with the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol, and was a bit surprised at what I saw when I went up to the target. I would say the grouping was around 6 inches which is not what I expected from this quality of Match Grade Airsoft Pistol. it should of easily broke 2 inches? The bulk of the shots did shoot within 2 inches and very close to the bullseye I might add, but 2 shots went high and 2 shots went low making the grouping a lot larger unfortunately. Perhaps a heavier Airsoft BB is what this Airgun needs as I think it has a lot more potential than it showed me here today.

You never know what to expect when making a Filed Test Shooting Video. Some low cost basic shooters end up performing really well and surprising me. In this case I was a bit underwhelmed by the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol, at least in terms of the accuracy portion of the test. In terms of velocity it was bang on, and I love the way it shoots and feels, the blowback is steady and crips and the trigger feels really good. Again I am hoping the accuracy results were more about ammo choice as I can see it really wanted to place Airsoft BB’s near the bullseye and in that under 2 inch grouping, but it struggled perhaps with my light weight ammo choice. All around I think the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol is a great option, you just need to work with it a little bit and find out what it likes to shoot.

Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol Table Top Review

Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: Distributed by Umarex - Manufactured by KWA.
Model: HK USP Match
Materials: Metal and plastic.
Weight: 2.45 pounds (1120 grams).
Total Length: 9.5 inches (242mm).
Barrel: 4.5 inches (114mm) metal rifled.
Propulsion: Green Gas.
Action: Semi auto Blowback, SA DA trigger.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Airsoft BB’s.
Ammunition Capacity: 28.
FPS: Claimed 365.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol is nice in both single and double action. Most of the time you will be shooting in single action as once the blowback action kicks in the slide cycle will pre-cock the hammer allowing for short light single action trigger pulls. You can de-cock this pistol dropping the hammer, at that point your next shot will be in double action until the blowback action again pre-cocks the hammer for you. Both single and double action on this pistol feel good with single action being shorter and lighter while the double action is still very usable.

Accuracy: I have yet to shoot the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol or perform my standard Field Test shooting Video so I can not comment on the performance other than what Umarex claimes in terms of velocity (365 fps). I expect the Umarex KWA HK USP Match to perform well as it is a competition style pistol with fully adjustable sights. So even if it shoots bit off out of the box I can dial it in closer to the bulls eye with a simple turn of the sight adjustment screws. This Airsoft gun has a really nice weight and feel in the hand and is really well balance so that should help out with accuracy but we will find out soon enough…

Build Quality: The Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol is a quality product all around with Metal and Polymer construction. You will find a machined aluminum alloy slide, CNC machined aluminum compensator weight and an injection molded polymer frame. Fit and finishes is very good which is what I find with most KWA built products. Internally this product KWA utilizes the NS2 gas blowback system that provides excellent gas efficiency and performance.

Realism: The Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol is as close to the real steel version as you can get with an Airsoft Pistol replicating looks and function very closely. It has full blowback action with all the mechanical parts operating as they would on the real steel version. Metal parts and plastic parts are found in all the same places and you can fully field strip the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol just like the .45 caliber version.

Pros:

  • Single and double action trigger with a nice light short single action trigger.

  • Fit and finish is excellent, top notch build materials.

  • This pistol is pretty heavy at almost 2.5 pounds!

  • Extremely close replica of the real steel HK USP Match in both looks and function.

  • Decently priced for a quality Airgun.

  • Fully adjustable match grade sights.

  • I like the look of the compensator extension and flared magwell.

  • Full ambidextrous controls.

  • Full size metal magazine holds the Gas and 28 Airsoft BB’s which adds additional weight and balance.

  • Most Mechanical parts work just like the real steel version and can be field stripped with a bit of work.

  • No need to field strip to adjust the hop-up as a tool is included for that.

  • Heavy slide spring with fast blowback action, great for action shooting.

  • Licensing all over this gun true to the real steel version.

Cons:

  • Has a painted on orange tip.

  • Not super easy to filed strip

  • May be a bit heavy and bulky for some people.

Comments:

The Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol is on the larger size and may not be for everyone but if you don’t mind a beefier Airsoft Pistol, you will get a lot from this one. It almost has a bit of that RoboCop look to it which I don’t mind. You also have a lot of control over this Airsoft Pistol with full ambidextrous controls, fully adjustable sights and both a single and double action trigger. And then there is the compensator, it does look cool but I am not really sure how much it is going to improve shooting this gun if any. For the price you do get a lot with the Umarex KWA HK USP Match GBB Airsoft Pistol.

ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

In this real world shooting Field Test Video of the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, I find out what the velocity is using a brand new standard 12 gram CO2 shooting 5.1 grain 4.5mm Steel BB’s through my Chronograph. I then setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and shoot 10 rounds into it using seated semi rested shooting position to find out if the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review anywhere near the bullseye out of the box and if it can get a tight grouping. If you have not already watched my Table Top Video Review for the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, then make sure to do so for details, specifications and some nice close up video.

For my velocity test of the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, I a lot of rounds through the chronograph as the fps velocity kept creeping up, but I did average out the last 5 shots to get my official average. The slowest fps was 263 with the fastest shot hitting 289 fps, this averaged 283 fps when using the last 5 shots which was almost bang on to what ASG claims of 285. Temperature was maybe just under 20 degrees Celsius which is around 65 or so degrees Fahrenheit, so good to get middle of the road performance here. In warmer temperature you can expect a bit higher velocities.

I then placed my paper target 30 feet downrange and using a semi rested shooting position (hands rested on a sandbag up front and sitting on a stool in the back). I placed 10 rounds into the target and was able to get right around a 2 inch shot grouping with just one flyer that went a bit higher than the rest, probably was me! I was aiming just under the bullseye and the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol shot about 3 inches low and just a hair to the left but the good news is the sights are fully adjustable so you can zero it in perfectly for your shooting style and range of shooting.

I really like this ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, it is a bit of a handful at almost 3 pounds but it feels well balanced and the blowback is nice and strong. It has a really great single action trigger that is short and light and predictable. You can also shoot in double action if you drop the hammer for some reason, just make sure you have already reached the slide to load a BB in the breach. The fps is not super high with this Full Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, but it did stay very consistent during my testing not dropping nearly as fast or as much as other similar CO2 BB Pistols. The price is a little bit higher on this version but you get a lot of gun for the money with quality materials throughout.

ASG CZ SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

In this performance Field Test Video of the ASG CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, I find out what the velocity is using a brand new standard 12 gram CO2 shooting a bunch of 4.5mm Steel BB’s through my Chronograph. ASG claims around 312 by the way. I then setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and shoot 10 rounds into it using a semi rested shooting position to find out if the ASG CZ SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol shoots well centered on the target out of the box and if it can shoot a decent grouping. If you have not already watched my Table Top Video Review for the ASG CZ SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, then make sure to do so for details, specifications and some nice close up video.

First up for my velocity test of the ASG CZ SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, I shot I think it was 7 or 8 rounds through my Chronograph and then averaged them all out. The slowest fps was 305 with the fastest shot hitting 317 fps, this averaged 311 fps which was almost bang on to what ASG Claims of this CO2 BB Blowback Pistol. Temperature was maybe just under 20 degrees Celsius which is around 65 or so degrees Fahrenheit, so good to get middle of the road performance here. In warmer temperature you will get a bit higher velocities.

I then placed my paper target 30 feet downrange and using a semi rested shooting position (hands rested on a sandbag up front and sitting on a stool in the back - not because I’m lazy). I shot 10 rounds into the target and was able to get just a bit over 2 inch shot grouping. I was aiming just under the bullseye and the ASG CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol did shoot a bit low and and to the left, so you will have to aim a bit high and to the right if you shoot like I do since this Replica BB Revolver does not have sight adjustments on it.

The ASG CZ SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol did pretty good in my testing hitting an averaged out 311 fps which is only 1 fps off of the claimed. The ASG CZ SP-01 Shadow also shot a respectable 10 shot grouping and like many BB and Airsoft guns, it shot a bit low on the target. There is internal adjustable hop-up in this CO2 BB Pistol, so perhaps if you crank that up a bit, it may shoot slightly higher but keep in mind Steel BB’s are lot more dense than Airsoft BB’s so I would not expect a radical change in elevation from hop-up alone. I do like the heavy blowback and smooth and light single action trigger that can also shoot in double action if need be. For a quality product like this the price is good so if you like CZ products then check this one out.

ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Blowback BB Pistol.
Manufacturer: Made and Distributed by ASG.
Model: CZ Shadow 2.
Materials: Mostly all Metal.
Weight: 2.7 pounds (1230 grams).
Barrel: 4.5 inches (114mm) metal non-rifled.
Total Length: 85 inch (215mm).
Propulsion: 1 x CO2.
Action: Semi auto blowback, single & double action trigger.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 17 round drop out full size metal magazine.
FPS: Claimed 285.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is both single and double action, by either pulling the slide or hammer back you engage the single action trigger which is nice and short and light with a medium take-up. You will need to pull the slide back to load a BB into the breach area for your first shot or you will simply be shooting CO2 on that first shot. If you drop the hammer down once a BB is in the breach, you can shoot in double action which is much heavier but it is fairly smooth without any noticeable sticking points.

Accuracy: I have not shot the ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol or made my Field Test Shooting Video so far, that will happen hopefully next week. So right now I can not comment on the true velocity or accuracy of this BB Pistol. It is very well made so I expect it to perform like most Full Blowback CO2 BB pistols which means it should shoot around a 1-2 inch 10 shot grouping at 30 feet away. And I expect it to achieve a velocity close to the manufacturers claimed fps, so just under 300 fps as claimed by ASG. We will find out for sure next in a weeks time!

Build Quality: The ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is distributed by ASG but I am not 100% sure who exactly makes it for them. I feel it is either going to be KJWorks or KWA. In either case both companies make very high quality Airsoft and Airguns and that is present with the ASG Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. Fit and finish are excellent and the entire gun is virtually all metal with an anodized slide and zinc grips. It weighs in at a very hefty 2.7 pounds and has a very solid feel to it.

Realism: The ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is a 1 to 1 copy of the real steel CZ Shadow 2 IPSC Pistol and side by side it would be very hard to tell one form the other. It features full blowback operation and can by fully field stripped. All the mechanical parts work like the real steel version adding to the realism of shooting this CO2 Competition built Blowback BB Pistol. Again it is full metal which not only helps it look the part, but also feel the part. It is a very realistic replica and to make it even more believable, ASG has provide the CZ licensing to add all the correct markings to this product.

Pros:

  • Single and double action trigger with a nice light short single action trigger.

  • Fit and finish is excellent, very little slide wiggle, all metal build.

  • This pistol is heavy at 2.7 pounds!

  • Extremely close replica of the real steel CZ Shadow 2 in both looks and function.

  • Rear sight is fully adjustable and sits very flush with the slide.

  • Fiber optic front sight helps with quick targets acquisition.

  • CNC machined Aluminum slide and full metal build including the machined zinc pistol grip sides.

  • Recessed barrel for added realism.

  • Full size 17 round metal magazine holds the CO2 and BB’s and adds additional weight.

  • Side swappable Ambidextrous magazine release.

  • Extended trigger guard makes shooting with gloves easier.

  • Claimed to be highly accurate, we will find out during my Field Test.

  • Most Mechanical parts work just like a steel version and can be easily field stripped to access hop-up.

  • Heavy slide spring with fast blowback action, great for action shooting.

  • Licensing all over this gun true to the real steel version.

Cons:

  • Velocity of claimed 285 seems low.

  • Price will be a bit higher than some similar guns like this but the quality of the ASG CZ Shadow 2 is very high.

  • May be a bit heavy for some people.

Comments:

The ASG CZ Shadow 2 Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is a quality product all around not only being just full metal but also icormdrating Anodized Aluminum in the slide but also making the grips out of CNC Zinc. Fit and finish is excellent and the overall IPSC look is very appealing. It is a bit heavy coming in at 2.7 pounds but this will keep it very stable when performing competition styled shooting. I am really looking forward to seeing how this one performs as I have high expectations so I hope later on next week when I make my Field Test Shooting video it delivers as promised.

  • Deep recessed barrel for added realism.

  • Full size 17 round metal magazine holds the CO2 and BB’s and adds additional weight.

  • Rail for adding accessories like a laser or tac light.

  • Most mechanical parts work just like the steel version and can be easily field stripped to access the hop-up.

I am pretty sure that the ASG CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol started out life as a 6mm Airsoft Pistol, and then this version was simply converted over to shoot 4.5mm Steel BB’s by more than likely swapping out the barrel, perhaps changing the nozzle and modifying the magazine to allow for 4.5mm BB’s over the 6mm Airsoft BB’s. And that is OK with me as I really like how Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols recreate that realistic shooting experience. The downside to all of this is a bit of a perforce hit since Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols use up a lot of CO2 to create that full heavy blowback experience. You also lose some power along the way. I am fine with that but some people may not be. Overall I really like the ASG CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. It is high quality and looks awesome. Now I just need to find out how it shoots :)
