I’ve got some new Airguns to show everyone today and all of them are Pistols of some sort or another. I show you three 4.5mm BB Pistols from ASG, a Cybergun 1911 NBB BB Pistol, an Airsoft Full Blowback Pistol from EMG and lastly from Umarex, an HK Full Blowback Airsoft Pistol. This is not a full review by any means, the video is mainly to let you know what is coming up in terms of Table Top and Field Test Videos and that we do have these products at least listed in our Replica Airgun Store.
In this Field Test Shooting Video I give the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol my usual run though and test it out using my Chronograph to see what the average 5 shot Velocity is using .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB’s. I then placed 10 rounds at a paper target setup 30 feet down range using a seated shooting position with my hands rested on a sand bag up front for stability. If you want information on specifications and details along with some close up video of the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistolthen watch my Table Top Video for it here.
Starting off with my Chronograph test, the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol was able to get a 6 shot average of 351 fps with the fasters round hitting 359 fps and the slowest Airsoft BB recording 346 fps. The indoor temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius which is close to 70 degree Fahrenheit for reference so with warmer temperatures I would expect velocities up to the claimed 360+ fps.
Moving on to the accuracy portion of my Field Test Test for the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol, I slowly and carefully placed 10 rounds into my fresh paper target and was able to get a nice 2 inch group perhaps even verging on 1.5 inches if I remove one outlier. I was shooting rather low at first so I raised my aim point up a bit, since the sights are not adjustable you might want to adjust your hopup a bit to spin/arc the Airsoft BB up just a bit.
Overall the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is an awesome Airsoft gun to shoot, it really has a lot of blowback action you can feel in your hands probably because of its large overall size, you will need some sizable hands to shoot this Airsoft Pistol as the grips are large and wide just like the real steel version. Performance wise the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol performed as expected and maybe even better than I expected hitting really close to the claimed fps and shooting a nice tight 10 shot grouping for me. If you are a Desert Eagle fan and like the gold bling then this may just be the product for you.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is single action only which means you will need to rack the slide to not only draw the hammer back but to also chamber the first round. After that the blowback action will do this for you until you are out of ammo and then the slide will lock back. The trigger itself is really nice, it’s light, short and has a crisp release perfect for fast action shooting.
Accuracy: At this point I have not made my Field Test Shooting portion of my review for the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol and I really don’t know what to expect? Cybergun claims an fps of 368 using green gas or propane but this may be on the high side since green gas generally produces less velocity than CO2. In terms of accuracy, again I have no idea since I have not reviewed this version of Desert Eagle before. So stay posted till next week when I make the Field Test Shooting Review for it.
Build Quality: Overall the all metal build quality of the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is good which I would hope to be the case for a higher priced Airsoft Pistol like this. I did however notice under the slide there was a bit of a rough area that I feel could have been sanded or polished out a bit better. Other than that this gun looks amazing and the fact that both the slide and receiver are both metal gives this Airsoft gun good weight and feel.
Realism: The Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is an excellent Replica Airsoft version of the real steel L6 .50AE Desert Eagle including the top and bottom rails and the ported front barrel. It also has full blowback action and you can fully field strip it. Combine that with an all metal build and it doesn't get any more realistic than that.
Pros:
Full metal build, close to true weight of real steel version.
Nice gold or silver Electroplated finish.
Realistic full blowback action.
Fully Licensed via Cybergun.
Rails on top and bottom for adding accessories.
Nice light and short single action trigger.
Injection molded polymer grip panels with Desert Eagle markings.
Realistic field strippable.
Full size drop out metal magazine.
Adjustable Hop-up to adjust elevation and accuracy at range.
Cons:
Comes with red/orange tip installed.
Price is on the higher side.
This version is not full auto.
Comments: Going off just the looks and feel for the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol I can say it is for sure one of the nicest Desert Eagles I have reviewed to date. I’m not generally a fan of gold guns but I think gold really suits the Desert Eagle since this iconic pistol is known for being over the top. It’s also full metal as compared to the KWC versions so that’s a big plus. I guess it will come down to how well it performs during my Field Test Shooting Video in terms of power and accuracy. If it doesn't let me down here, it may just be worth the nearly $400 piece tag!
My Table Top Video of the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol:
I have a nice Airgun Pistol Update Unboxing video to checkout where I take a look at 5 Airguns four of which are Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistols and one is a CO2 BB Revolver. I don’t go into a lot of details here on each Airgun as this is mainly just a preview video to let everyone know we have these products in our Online Replica Airgun Stores and give a you a quick look at them. I will be following up with individual Table Top and Field Test Videos where I go into more details and also show you how each gun performs in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range.
Back in 2017 I made “Which Beretta Airgun is the Best” Video and showed off some 4.5mm Steel BB and .177 Caliber Pellet versions of my favorite Beretta 92 - M9 style Air Pistols. There have been some changes since then most noticeably the addition to Airsoft versions so I thought I would update this video with more current Beretta Airguns along with of course some of the same ones form my last video.
Because I show off 4.5mm Steel BB, .177 Caliber Pellet and 6mm Plastic Airsoft versions I decided to pick my favorites form each category. Watch my Vimeo Review Comparison Video so checkout these Air Pistols and see which ones are my favorites…
.177 Caliber Pellet Beretta 92 -M9 CO2 Air Pistols
In this Field Test Shooting Video I shoot the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol in my indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range to see what the real world velocity is and also how well it will group shooting 10 rounds at a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s for my testing along with Propane Gas. The temperature inside the sea can was around 26 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit).
Because the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol coms with both a shorter internal barrel and a screw on extended barrel designed to be hidden inside a mock suppressor I thought it would make sense to test both the short and long barrels to see what the fps difference would be. With the short internal barrel I shot 4 rounds and average 255 fps. I then added the longer barrel extension again shooting 4 rounds but this time I averaged 363 fps so a good 100+ fps faster with the longer barrel attachment added to the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol.
For my accuracy portion of the testing I left the extended barrel on the gun but was a bit disappointed in my 10 shot grouping. The Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol did not get the tightest of groupings coming in at around 5 inches. It also shot a little bit to the right but vertically was fairly well centered. Perhaps changing up the barrels and lengths might make a difference?
I did really like the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol, it has a really light trigger that is a bit hard to find the release point, the blowback action is crisp but not overly heavy. I’m pretty sure the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a VFC product so the quality is bang on. Other than the grouping being a little bit spread out I really liked everything about the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol.
Type: GBB Airsoft Pistol. Manufacturer: Cybergun Model:FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical. Materials: Metal and polymer construction. Weight: 1.8 Pound (820 grams). Barrel Length: 4.8 inch (12.2 cm). Total Length: 8.9 Inches (22.6 cm). Propulsion: Green gas or propane Action: Single and double action. Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB’s. Ammunition Capacity: 25 round magazine. Max FPS: 380 fps.
Trigger Pull: The Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol has a single and double action trigger setup. Both feel pretty good with a surprisingly light double action trigger pull, the blowback action will cock the hammer between shots allowing for the vast majority of your shots being single action which you will find are short and very light. There is a little bit of take-up followed by a crisp light release.
Accuracy: So far I have not made my Field Test Shooting Video for the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol. Keep posted for my upcoming Field Test Shooting Video for the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Threaded Barrel GBB Airsoft Pistol, until then I can not really comment on the shooting results.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol feels really good, it has a nice weight to it and feels really solid in the hand. The materials used look good and have an excellent finish to them. There is just a bit of a slide wiggle but not excessive. You will find metal parts where you would expect them to be like in the slide, barrel components, magazine, slide catch release, take-down leaver, hammer and lots of internal parts.
Realism: In terms of realism the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is pretty much the spitting image of the real steel version with all the markings and licensing in all the right places. Mechanically everything works about the same including full field strip-ability with full ambidextrous controls.
Pros:
Build quality feels really good.
Full length blowback action.
Accurate licensed TFN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical replica.
Trigger pull is nice in both single and double action.
Picatinny rail for adding accessories like a tac light or laser.
Double stack full size drop out metal magazine holds the gas and 25 Airsoft BB’s
Comes with additional back-strap in smaller size for smaller hands.
White dot high rise front and back sights suitable for compensators.
Fully ambidextrous controls.
Easily Filed Strippable.
Tip is easy to remove for addition of a mock compensator.
Adjustable Bax Hop-up
Cons:
Sights are not adjustable.
Just a little bit of slide wiggle.
Comments: The Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really great looking gun. The quality is on par with KWA and KJ Works in my opinion. I’m not sure who actually makes it as Cybergun is the license holder and distributer but I feel like the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a step up from the standard KWC gun often used as the base. I look forward to testing out the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Sea Can indoor Airgun Shooting range to see how it performs. I’ll be testing with the short barrel and with the barrel extension installed to see what the fps difference is between the two.
My Vimeo Table Top Review for the Cybergun FN Herstal FNX-45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol:
In this Table Top Preview video I take a look at two Blowback Airsoft Pistols one Distributed by Cybergun and the otters Distributed by ASG. Both are very similar in that they have threaded barrels which makes them much suppressor ready the big difference being that the ASG CZ P-09 is CO2 powered while the FN Herstal FNX-45 is Green Gas or Propane powered. IN this video I talk about the specifications and details and also show both Airsoft Pistols up nice and close.
Another Airsoft Pistol Preview Video to share with everyone. First up we have a nice lighter weight CO2 powered 1911 from KJWorks called the KP-11 The lower receiver is polymer which helps to keep this gun a little bit lighter all around but it still has good weight to it coming in at a little over 2 pounds, the grips are larger than some 1911's since the KP-11 has a double stack style full size drop out metal magazine. You will also find some nice Tactical upgrade like adjustable white dot sights, a lower rail for accessories and milled trigger and hammer.
I also show off an interesting and not all that common pistol from Cybergun, the FNX -45 Tactical in Gas Blowback. For import into Canada it ships with a longer barrel which stick out of the front of the gun but it also comes with a shorter barrel you can install after your receive it. The Longer barrel gives the Cybergun FNX -45 Tactical Airsoft Pistol the extra velocity to allow it to be Canada import ready. The FNX -45 Tactical is a really detailed and well built Airsoft Pistol. By the way the FNX -45 Tactical is also availabl in Dark Earth color.
Here are some of the specifications for the KJWorks KP-11 and Cybergun FNX -45 Tactical Airsoft Pistols:
