Todays video is all about “damage”! How much damage can each of these .50 caliber ball options deliver to an object and the object of interest in todays video are a couple of over rip pumpkins that needed putting out of their misery. Luckily when I made this video the weather outside was cooperating with me and I go tI nice break in the rain. This was awesome as I was not looking forward to al the cleanup I would of had to of done if I performed this test inside the Replica Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range.

In this third video I test out the velocity and energy shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph using the 8 gram All Steel Balls that I purchased on my own to test with this Less Lethal Pistol. I also shoot 5 rounds of the same All Steel Balls into a paper target setup 30 feet down range to get an idea on what to expect accuracy wise with the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol. Umarex claims a max velocity of 485 fps with an energy rating of 13 Joules with the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol when using their supplied ammo. I am assuming this would be using the Powder Balls as they are the lightest option of Ammo that are included in the box with this pistol and will have the highest velcoity. In my Chronograph testing I shot 5 rounds using the 8 gram All Steel balls. The velocity for the 8 gram All Steel Balls was much slower than the 1.6 gram All Rubber Balls and 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls as expected, but they did stay fairly consistent ranging from a low of 132 fps to a high of 151 fps, averaging 138 fps. The overall energy rating ended up being the slowest by far out of all the rounds I tested in this Less Lethal Pistol, with an energy rating of only 7 Joules. Based on energy alone I would suggest using the All Rubber Balls as they achieved the highest energy rating at 15 Joules, even higher than claimed by Umarex.
Now that we understand that the 8 gram All Steel .50 Caliber All Steel Balls are not only the lowest velocity by a long shot, they also have the lowest energy rating again by a lot as compared to the other rounds tested. Maybe when I compare the accuracy during my target Test the .50 Caliber All Reel Rounds may redeem themselves. After Shooting 5 of the 8 Gram All Steel Rounds into my Paper Target from a distance of 30 feet, I did actually get the tightest grouping, even with a heavily fading CO2 that was near it’s end, so velocity did taper off making the shots shoot lower and lower with each shot. I did throw the final 5th shot out as I could literally see it loft to the target but even with the low CO2 and inconsistent velocity, I got my best grouping from the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol with a 3 inch grouping just slightly to the left of the bullseye but very close.
I was not surprised with the performance of the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol using the 8 gram All Steel Balls for this third Field Test. Velocity was much lower as expected than the other lighter rounds tested, but most surprising, the energy was around half of the All Rubber Balls. Perhaps the metal rounds just did not reach their maximum speed in such a short barrel due to them being a so much heavier weight? My conclusion on Ammo choice for the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol would be to go with either the All Rubber Balls or the Rubber Steel Balls. The All Rubber Balls by far had the highest velocity and energy rating but I did feel like the Rubber Steel Balls even though they where moving slower and had slightly less energy, seemed to hit the target with the most force based on the sound I was hearing while performing the testing. Either round will for sure make an intruder think twice about continuing their course of bad behavior. I will probably do some testing on how each of these rounds effects different targets in the future, I just need to figure out what I want to shoot at…

The velocity for the 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls was slower as expected but they did stay fairly consistent ranging from a low of 300 fps to a high of 309 fps averaging 304 fps. The overall energy rating ended up being 12 Joules, so obviously lower in fps than claimed by Umarex but close to the claimed 13 Joules. Still a good result close to the claimed raw energy.
The main point to this ammo comparison video is to finds out not only if the heavier 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls will have around the same energy as the lighter 1.6 gram all Rubber Balls, but also to see if they have similar accuracy. In terms of accuracy the 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls did just a little bit better than the 1.6 gram all Rubber Balls, not by a lot but, by about 1 inch with a 5 round grouping of 5 inches. All 5 shots were well entered shooting just a bit high of my aim point by about 3 inches but in general well centered left to right as a grouping.
I was happy with the performance of the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol using the 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls for this second Field Test. Energy was very close to the claimed 13 Joules and the average 304 fps I got with this ammo felt snappy and got to the target quickly and sounded like they really hit hard. I do like the higher 15 Joules and 450 fps I got from the lighter 1.6 gram all Rubber Balls, so at this point I would probably recommend sticking with them for the most power and energy down range. Next up I test out the 8 gram all Steel Balls to find out if they are even an option or if they are simply juts to heavy for the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol.

In my Chronograph testing I shot 5 rounds using the 1.6 gram included all rubber balls. I did throwout the first shot as it was about 50 fps lower than the rest, perhaps as it was first out of the barrel which can happen. The other 4 rounds averaged 445 fps with an overall energy rating of 15 Joules, so a bit slow in fps than claimed by Umarex but a higher energy output. Perhaps the fps rating was for lighter rounds like the included 10 powder balls? Still an excellent result with more raw energy than expected which is great for a system designed to deter an intruder!
What good is power if you can not hit the target? That’s why I always test out accuracy as you want your gun to shoot where you point it. With Rubber Balls they tend to “wing” or “curl” a bit in the air which does spread out the groupings a bit over a BB or even Airsoft gun, so I was not expecting under a 2 inch grouping. My goal was to hit the target fairly centered with around a 6 inch grouping and the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol did exactly that for me, so mission accomplished. I also wanted to find out how many shots to expect from a fresh 12 gram CO2 and my results showed around 20 shots, so you can reload the internal magazine around 4 times before the trigger stops working, which is how you know the CO2 pressure is not adequate enough to shoot any more rounds.
I was very happy with the performance of the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol using the included 1.6 gram All Rubber Balls for this Field Test. Energy was even 2 Joules higher than claimed by Umarex, and I did not have a single malfunction with this pistol through my testing of all types of ammo I used in videos 1, 2 and 3. I would say the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is your best option as a Less Lethal Pistol here in Canada. Will it stop a very determined intruder? Maybe not, but I would feel a little bit safer with the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol at my side than not having it at all. And a couple well aimed rounds to some soft tissue will for sure make someone reconsider some of their life choices. Stay posted for videos two and three coming out shortly…

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is double action only but not overly long or heavy. There does not seem to be any ammo friction which is nice, so the each round feels about the same with spring tension not playing a factor. In order to use the trigger, the Pistol will need to be fully charged by loading a 12 gram CO2 and giving it a smack on the bottom of the pistol grip. This will pierce the CO2, charging the gun with pressure and activation the trigger mechanism. When the CO2 pressure becomes too low, the trigger will not function and a fresh CO2 will needed to be swapped over.
Accuracy: So far I have only briefly tried out the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol here in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Shooting Range, and I was rather impressed at the initial performance as it did seem to be moving the .50 call rubber balls I was shooting at close to 500 fps with a lot of energy as my pepper and cardboard target was dislodged from the backstop after a few shots. Accuracy seems to be as expected from a Paintball type pistol, so I am expecting to get around a 4-6 inch 6 shot grouping at 30 feet away which will be effective in a Less Lethal encounter.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is good overall. It is mostly made out of plastic which is fine, as I feel that if it was mostly metal, and because of its larger size, it would be on the heavy side and not something you may want to use in a cary situation if that was your plan. There is metal where it needs to be in most of the mechanical areas including the barrel, trigger, charging system and I am sure other internal parts. The plastic parts feel well made and fit and finish is very good. The Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol does have more than enough weight at 1.5 pounds to feel solid in the hand.
Realism: This version of the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol comes with the orange slide to show that it is not a lethal firearm. I have seen all black version but at this time we only sell the colored slide version. This does make it obvious that the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is not a “Real Firearm” designed for lethal encounters, which in Canada is a good thing since our self protection laws seem to favor the criminal more than the victim. So making sure you are using a tool designed to deter a criminal rather than harm or kill them, is hopefully going to keep you out of trouble with the law. That said the Umarex P2P HDR 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol does look like a modern semi auto pistol and functions much the same but with less force.
Pros:
Not many options for a true less-lethal option here in Canada. This Airgun is purpose built for less lethal use so it has what I believe is enough power to actually dissuade most intruders.
In this case I like that it is clearly marked in orange to indicate it is not an actual lethal firearm. When protecting yourself in Canada you have to be cautious with your intentions, and having clear orange markings will help in your case to show that you where not trying to give the impression of using a real firearm.
Nice powerful 485fps with a 13 Joules energy rating.
Can store the 12 gram CO2 in it and activate with a quick hit to the bottom of the CO2 screw.
Holds 6 rounds in the internal magazine which hopefully gets the job done. Should be able to reload at least one more time for a total of 12 shots per 12 gram CO2.
Fiber Optic sights make it easy to line up your target in most lighting conditions and backgrounds.
Double action trigger feels smooth and not too heavy or long, also has a trigger safety on it.
Can add a tactical light or laser to the under barrel picatinny rail.
Comes with 10 rubber and 10 powder balls to get you started.
Cons:
It is a bit on the larger size, not going to be easy to cary if that is your plan. I do not know what the legal ramifications of carrying this would be as it is clearly designed for protection and not for lethal encounters.
Not a lot of shots per CO2 but the idea here is to quickly deliver as much damage as possible, this is not a weapon for prolonged gun fights.
In Canada it does not seem you can get pepper balls easily most likely due to import regulations.

The Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is a very refreshing product for us here in Canada as up until now similar styled Rubber Ball purpose built self defense products we have been able to get, in my opinion simply did not have enough power to really be effective other than the initial intimidation of holding what looks like a firearm. If it came down to actually shooting it, I don’t believe there would be enough stopping power to deter an intruder. The Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol on the other hand has a 485 fps, 13 Joules power rating which is a rather big jump from other similar products available to us here in Canada and although it may not stop everyone, I do believe you have a much better chance protecting yourself with the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol. If you are looking for something to have at home to help you feel a bit safer, then the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is the absolute best option for Canadians at this time.
In this Field Test Indoor Shooting Video I take the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol through its paces to see what the actual velocity is and what kind accuracy I can get shooting at a paper target 30 feet away. For this Video Review I use a brand new CO2 along with .43 caliber rubber balls. And for fun I also made an interesting outside shooting video using actual Paintballs that highlights the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol.
So let’s get right to the results! For my Chronograph test, being indoors the temperature was about room temperature, maybe a bit lower at around 19-20 Degrees Celsius or 66-68 Degrees Fahrenheit. This can affect velocity as CO2 performs bettering in warmer conditions. My fastest Chronograph result was 283 fps while my slowest result was 268 fps averaging 277 fps so not bad as I was expecting just under 300 fps based on past experiences using similar Umarex T4E Blowback CO2 Paintball Pistols.
Next up in the Field Test was the accuracy portion, I often shoot 10 rounds in to my paper targets setup 30 feet down range, but since the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol magazine only holds 8 rounds I went with 8 rounds this time. I was also using a semi-rested shooting position with my hands resting on a sandbag up front and sitting on a stool in the back. I did get one Paintball that was a bit low but the other 7 all fell into a rather nice 4 inch grouping fairly well centered on the target just a bit to the right. 3 Paintballs even hit the bullseye which is pretty good for a Blowback Paintball Pistol in my books.
All in all the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol performed a lot like the other Umarex T4E CO2 Blowback .43 Caliber Paintball Pistols in their lineup, maybe perhaps this time around for me at least with a little bit more accuracy than past Field Tests. I had no problems with the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol shooting in my outside fun video and in this Indoor Field Test Video, the Umarex T4E HK VP9 has a decent DOA trigger that is fairly responsive and the blowback action has more recoil and snap than I was expecting. I would put the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol right in line with the other Umarex T4E CO2 Blowback .43 Caliber Paintball Pistols for sure, maybe even just a bit better in terms of my results on this day.
Summer will be over before we know it, so why not get out and shoot some Paintball Pistols on a bunch of random targets in the yard before fall kicks in! I rarely get to use actual Paintballs in my Paintball Guns as I mainly test indoors and so I pretty much have to use Rubber Balls or have to deal with a bunch of clean up afterwards.
So today I grabbed my two newest Umarex T4E Paintball Pistols, the Umarex T4E TR68 and Umarex T4E HK VP9. I of course I loaded them up with their appropriate ammo .68 and .43 caliber Paintballs, and headed outside.
Figuring out how to make the video interesting and get lots of different camera angles can be fun, so I decided to grab my Hover Camera X1 which I think from now on is going to be my new “Camera Man” when I need a camera recoding me as I move around. I also placed my Insta 360 One R and my iVUE Vista Camera glasses in the mix. All being audio recorded with my Comica Vimo C Wireless Lapel Mic so you can actually hear everything clearly.
Seems like a lot of production using all of these recording devices and then having to line up, cut and mix everything together in post. Well you guys are worth it and I’m a bit of a tech junky so it was all kind of fun for me too.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol feels a lot like a double action trigger mainly because when you pull the trigger, the inner barrel travels backwards into the magazine placing a paintball round in the barrel which seals the barrel with the magazine so less CO2 is wasted. This does make the trigger a little bit longer and heavier than a single action trigger because of the added friction. The internal hammer/striker is engaged from the blowback action which does help lesson the overall triggers pull weight.
Accuracy: So far I have not had the opportunity to test the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol, so stay posted for my upcoming Field Test Shooting Video where I will see what kind of velocity and accuracy we can expect from the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is good overal, you will find metal parts are where you would expect them to be, in the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts giving the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol a decent overall weight of almost 2 pounds with the magazine in which makes the Paintball version feel comparable to a real steel HK VP9 (710 grams - 25 ounces). The T4E HK VP9 does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weight down. Fit and finish is also very good!
Realism: The Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is a fully licensed replica of the real steel HK VP9 via its Umarex Licensing. The Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is made specifically as a training tool for owners of similar real steel HK Handguns so for that reason it is made to replicate its powder burning counterpart very closely. You will find that the slide cycle distance is a bit shorter than it would be meaning that when the side catch is engaged the slide does not go as far back in the 9mm version. Field stripping the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol will requires some tools and pin removal.
Pros:
Accurate weight and solid feeling gun.
Full Metal slide that locks back on the last shot.
All metal heavy full size drop out magazine adds some additional weight to the gun.
Good for real steel H&K VP9 owners looking for a similar training weapon.
Everything works pretty much like the real gun so again great as a training tool.
Easy to see white dot sights front and back.
Working trigger safety
Fit and finish is very good.
Magazine spring release pops the magazine out just enough to grab it but not drop it on the floor.
.43 caliber barrel opening, adds to realism.
Warning instructions are a lot more discrete under the trigger guard and not super white in color.
Comes with additional grip parts to customize to various hand sizes.
Cons:
Magazine only holds 8 rounds, so you are going to need extra magazines for sure.
Blowback action is not full blowback, more like a typical half blowback BB gun.
Sights are non adjustable.

The Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is mechanically very close to the Umarex Walther PPQ M2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol and the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol in how it functions as a Paintball Pistol so I expect all of them to shoot very similarly and that’s not a bad thing since previous versions I have tested so far have performed rather well for me in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Indoor Shooting Range. If you are an HK fan then the Umarex T4E HK VP9 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is about as close as you are going to get in a Replica Paintball Pistol. Owning the paintball version will allow for a lot more opportunities to get some trigger time in and hone your shooting skill with a very similar gun to the one you my own, and at a fraction off the cot to 9mm ammo.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun is basically a Double Action Only Trigger as there is no blowback or way in which to preload a hammer or striker system. So basically your finger does all the work so the trigger pull is I would say about medium length and about medium pull. It does works just fine for fairly rapid follow up shooting. Each pull of the trigger also extends a rear breach-like tube that seals off the CO2 from the internal magazine or there would be a lot of CO2 leakage.
Accuracy: Normally I do not get the chance to perform the Field Test before making my Table Tope Video Review but with the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun, I did it the other way around so I do have performance metrics I can share with you, at least summarized. I suggest watching my Full Field Test Shooting Video Review for the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun for a the full breakdown. In summary, the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun shot a bit low on the target but had a decent grouping of I would say around 4-6 inches which is really good for a Paintball Gun. In terms of power my Chronograph results shooting 5 rounds produced an average of 176fps but the temperature was not super warm so in warmer conditions you can expect this to go up a bit, I would say 200fps is realistic.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun is really good for the lower price of this unit compared to other higher priced T4E products, you will get a pretty much all plastic outer shell. That said there is still a fair amount of metal in this PaintBall Shotgun including the barrel, internal magazine, sights, trigger, sling mounts and some internal parts. All in all the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun has a good weight and feel to it with nice fit and finish.
Realism: The Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun as far as I know is not an exact replica of any specific Shotgun but it does look like what you would expect to see from a Pistol Grip Tactical Styled Shotgun. In terms of mechanical working parts everything does what it supposed to do and works as expected.
Accuracy was really good, probably my tightest grouping so far to date with a Paintball Gun shooting at 30 feet away.
Lots of mounting option for accessories like a tac light, laser or other sighting option with it’s top and side picatinny rail and M-LOK setup.
Quick CO2 pierce system so you can leave a CO2 in it ready to go any time with no worries about CO2 leaking out over time.
Simple to use Cross Bolt Safety.
Nice high capacity super easy to load 16 round magazine.
Ambidextrous sling mountain points.
Low cost for what you get compared to other Umarex/T4E products.
Build quality feels pretty good considering it is a much lower cost than other T4E rifles/shotguns.
Looks very intimidating.
Cons:
Mostly plastic external build.
Sights are not adjustable.
Will not get lots of shots per single CO2.
No rear stock so will not be as accurate using a non rested shooting posting.

The Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun is a well built and decent performing Paintball Shotgun and for the price you do get a lot of gun for your money. In some ways it even outperforms the HDX in my books including lower price, ease to load, quicker follow shots being semi auto, more compact size and even accuracy was better with the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun. So if you’re on a budget, don’t feel like you are compromising at all here, you are getting a really good Paintball Shotgun solution!
In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun to see what the actual fps is and what kind of accuracy we can get out of these .68 Caliber Rubber balls at 30 feet down range. Starting with the velocity portion of this video I used .68 caliber rubber balls which are not super heavy and not made out of a very hard rubber as you can squish them with your fingers fairly easily. I put 5 rounds through my chronograph after loading a pair of 12 gram CO2 cartriges into the CO2 chamber. My results averaged 176fps which may seem slower than expected but they did hit my target pretty hard pulling the paper in with them. Each round was fairly consistent ranging from 167 to 182 fps trailing off a bit after each shot which is expected.
Moving on to the accuracy portion for the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun, I proceeded to shoot around 10 rounds into my fresh paper target setup 30 feet down range. My target is basically an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and my goal was ot get all my shots onto the paper which I easily managed. I was impressed with the grouping from the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun as it performed better than most Paintball guns using rubber balls. The shot placement was a bit lower than I was aiming but all the rounds where within I would say 4-5 inches of each other with no real outliers in the grouping.
All in all the Umarex T4E HDB .68 Caliber Paintball Shotgun performed better than I was expecting, I bit more fps would be nice but the rubber balls do hit the paper with a fair amount of energy, I would for sure not want to get hit by one at close range with light clothing on. The accuracy again was really good for a a paintball rifle and this being one of the lower cost Umarex T4E rifle/shotgun based products it performed as good if not better than much higher priced versions. If you’re looking for a fun Paintball Rifle that won’t break the bank and has a good feature set then pick one up for us!
In this Preview Review Video I take a look at 4 newer products now in our Replica Airguns Online Store. One is a 4.5mm Steel BB Revolver, two are 6mm Airsoft Pistols and one is a .68 caliber Paintball Shotgun.
The first item I take look at in this video is the Umarex HK30 AEG Airsoft Pistol, this product is pretty entry level with analyst all plastic build and is very light to hold. It does however shoot in both semi and full auto since it is an AEG Airsfto Pistol (not many of them out there). The fps is rather low at a claimed fps at just under 200, the Umarex HK30 AEG Airsoft Pistol also comes with two 16 round remove; plastic magazines. Who knows, maybe it will be fun?
Next I take a look at the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch 4.5mm Steel BB Gold Revolver. This is a CO2 powered shell loading BB revolver very much like similar ones I have reviewed in the past but in Gold finish. Will the gold finishes make it perform better, well I guess we better find out!
I then take a look at a “Glock Like” CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol for KJWorks called the KP13. It has a full size drop out metal magazine that holds the CO2 along with 24 rounds of 6mm Airsoft BB’s. The KJWorks KP-13 has a metal slide, metal magazine and polymer frame with a velocity over 360fps using the included barrel extension.
Last but perhaps the most interesting for me is the Umarex T4E HDB which is a lower cost Paintball/Rubber Ball Shotgun which could possibly be used for home protection? The T4E HDB is a mostly plastic constructed rifle with decent weight to it and uses an internal spring fed 16 round magazine. You will find all kinds of mounting points for accessories and for a sling on the Umarex T4E HDB and again at much lower cost than similar T4E rifle based Paintball/Rubber ball Airguns.
For this Video 2 Accuracy Test I shoot all of the above listed Airguns at a paper target setup 30 feet down range using a semi rested shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front and seated on a stool in the back. It’s not perfect but works well enough. I didn’t take a ton of time with each gun since there where 4 to shoot in this Field Test Shooting Video so accuracy may have been a bit better if I took a little more time with each gun.
In Video 2 I test the power and penetration of each Airgun option shooting at a pop can, a soup can and a toilet paper roll so make sure to watch that video if you have not already watched it.
For this Video 1 Power Test I shoot all of the above listed Airguns first at a pop can, then a soup can and then a toilet paper roll. The ides is to test penetration abilities with the pop and soup can and then raw force shooting the toilet paper as it will absorb all the energy from each airgun round and by gauging how much the toilet paper reacts or moves it should tell us which airgun has the most raw power or energy.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol in the Indoor Replica Airguns Sea Can Shooting Range to find out what the real world velocity and accuracy is for it. I start off by putting 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average the fps, I then I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and put (max amount in the magazine) 8 Paintball rounds into it to see how close of a grouping I can get. If you want more details and specifications on the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol then checkout my Table Top Video for that information.
Starting with the Chronograph velocity test Umarex says you can expect around 350 - 400 fps which seems rather high to me based on my other Field Tests with similar .43 caliber Paintball Pistols. Perhaps this is using actual Paintballs whereas I was using rubber balls for my testing to reduce the mess in the Sea Can. I was able to average 300 fps using a brand new CO2 in what I would consider to be about a room temperature conditions which means in warmer situations I am sure we can get even higher than the 300 fps I hit on this day.
For the next portion of the Indoor Field Test I loaded 8 rounds into the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol and carefully placed them into a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using my standard seated position in the back with my hands resting on a sand bag up front which I have found to be fairly stable but there will still be some human factor which can effect overall accuracy. My results where about what I was expecting with a Paintball Pistol shooting Rubber Balls, generally they will spread out a bit at 30 feet and in this Field Test my 8 shot group spread out to about 8 inches or so. They did seem to be well centered on the target as a group and if I was shooting at a human sized torso at that distance I would have hit it every time.
The Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is another nice addition to the Umarex / T4E lineup up .43 Caliber Replica Paintball Pistols and if you are a Glock owner and want a Paintball Pistol to train with, then the Umarex T4E Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is about as good as you can get, the only other option would be to go with an Umarex Glock Airsoft or BB Pistol but at least we now have a bunch of options depending on your specific needs!
First, I put four rounds through my Chrony Chronograph to see what the real world FPS would be, keep in mind I was using rubber balls rather than paintballs and the rubber balls are a little bit heavier and smaller in diameter than paintballs so this could bring the FPS down a bit compared to the slightly lighter paintballs. Using a brand new CO2, the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol average 303 FPS which was higher than the claimed 290 FPS. Temperature inside my Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range was around 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Moving on to my accuracy testing as per my usual indoor field tests, I positioned myself 30 feet back from a fresh paper target and using a seated and rested shooting position I shot a full magazine (8 rounds) of rubber balls on target with the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. As mentioned before I was expecting around a 6 inch grouping and got pretty close to it getting closer to an 8 inch 8 shot grouping. The rubber balls did center well on the target all placing uniformly arounds the bullseye. If I was aiming at a human sized torso, I would have hit it with every shot from 30 feet away so good enough for me.
As expected I was able to get very similar and decent results compared to the other Umarex .43 Caliber CO2 Blowback Paintball Pistols I have already reviewed. I did want to mention some of shooting qualities you will find with the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. The trigger can feel a bit heavy especially using rubber balls as when you pull the trigger the inner barrel moves back and into the magazine going around the paintball and helping to seal off the CO2 from escaping. There is a bit of friction and I find the rubber paintballs seem to have more friction perhaps because the rubber grips more than the plastic surface on standard paintballs? This extra trigger friction or heaviness is really only noticeable when you are pulling the trigger slowly for accuracy testing but when shooting quickly as you would be more likely to do so in an actual training simulation, the trigger friction is all but forgotten about.

Paintball Pistol is really very good, metal parts are where you would expect them, the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts giving the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol a decent overall weight with the magazine in which makes the Paintball version a little bit lighter than a real steel Glock 17 (624 grams - 22 ounces). The Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weight down. Fit and finish is also very good!

Paintball Pistol is not an actual replica of the the Glock17 Pistol, it is Umarex’s version of the Glock, Umarex does now the Glock lisense but perhaps they where not able to find an actual Glock 17 Paintball gun they could bring to market. The T4E TPM1 is designed to hold and feel similar to a Glock and for most real steel Glock owners the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol would be close enough for training purposes. You will find that the slide cycle distance is a bit shorter than it would be meaning that when the side catch is engaged the slide does not go as far back as it the real 9mm Glock. Field stripping the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol will requires some tools and pin removal.
Full Metal slide that locks back on the last shot.
All metal heavy full size drop out magazine adds some additional weight to the gun.
Good for Glock shooters looking for a similar training weapon.
Everything works pretty much like the real gun so again great as a training tool.

TheUmarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is mechanically very close to the Umarex Walther PPQ M2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol and the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol in how it functions as a Paintball Pistol so I expect all of them to shoot very similarly and that’s not a bad thing since previous versions I have tested so far have performed rather well for me in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Indoor Shooting Range. If you are a Glock fan than the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is about as close as you are going to get at least for now to a Glock Replica Paintball Pistol. As of right now being stuck at home, perhaps a Glock Paintball Trainer like the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol using .43 caliber rubber ammo may just allow you to get some indoor shooting practice to keep your shooting skills up.

This is about what I was expecting as paintball guns are not meant for "target practicing", generally you are going to be shooting human sized objects and hoping to get some well placed center mass shots. 3-6 inch accuracy at 30 feet will get the job done for sure. I did find the trigger using rubber balls did have a bit more friction while the inner barrel seated itself into the magazine. When shooting quickly with the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol it is much less noticeable and overal the trigger is not bad.
I know some of you are going to ask about using the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol with rubber balls for non-lethal self defense and the reality is it will not stop a person who is determined on hurting you. There is simply not enough stoping power here. Will it a lot if you get shot up close with one of these Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistols especially directly on the skin ? For sure but a well timed punch has more chance of dropping someone than a .43 caliber rubber ball moving at around 300 FPS. You may scare someone off simply by brandishing it but you take the chance of the person calling your bluff. Perhaps 8 rubber balls to the face will change their mind but that's a chance you have to figure out if you want to take or not.

Paintball Pistol is a near perfect replica of the real steel S&W M&P9 M2.0 Pistol, from the fully licensed markings to the large .43 caliber diameter barrel. If you placed the Paintball version side by side with the real steel version I doubt you could tell them apart unless you start inspecting it really close up and working the action. You will find that the slide cycle distance is a bit shorter than it would be meaning that when the side catch is engaged the slide does not go as far back as it the real 9mm S&W M&P9 M2.0.
