In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sean Airgun Shooting range. This product now comes with the longer sticking out barrel to increase the FPS for import into Canada to get it up and over the 360 FPS requirement using a .20 gram Airsoft BB. In my previous video I test out the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol but swapped out the longer barrel for the shorter barrel to see how much the sorter barrel reduces velocity and also if there is an impact on accuracy? For the velocity portion of this test I placed several .25 gram Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph and was please to get a very consistent 355 average FPS reading which is very close to the claimed 360 FPS when using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s so if I had been using a lighter BB I would have for sure seen velocity up and over the 360 FPS.
In terms of accuracy the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol also performed really well, maybe not as well as the short barrel Glock 19 Gen 3 I tested just last week that seemed to group just a little bit tighter and was a little bit more well vented on the target. Both the Glock 17 and Glock 19 shot a bit low but I am sure a slight hop-up tweak could rectify that. I did however manage to get around a 2 - 2.5 inch 10 shot grouping.
So in summary both the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistols at least for now come with the longer barrels only and so you options are to either cut down the existing barrel or buy a shorter barrel and replace it, that is unless you like the look of the long sticking out barrel ;) You will get a velocity drop of around 75 FPS with the shorter barrel installed but I would say accuracy should be about the same at the end of the day.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sean Airgun Shooting range. This product now comes with the longer sticking out barrel to increase the FPS for import into Canada to get it up and over the 360 FPS cut off using a .20 gram Airsoft BB. I wanted to see how much of a difference the shorter barrel would make so I will be comparing the short barrel with the long barrel to find out the FPS and accuracy differences. In the Video I only shoot the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol with the short barrel but in my next video I Shot the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 GBB Airsoft Pistol with its included long barrel for comparison.
For the velocity portion of this test I placed 5 .25 gram Airsoft BB’s through my Chronograph and was please to get a very consistent 276 average FPS reading with the slowest shot hitting 274 FPS and the fastest shot hitting 278 FPS so really close. Keep in mind I was using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s rather than .20 gram Airsoft BB’s so I would imagine the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol even using the shorter barrel should hit closer to 300 FPS with the lighter Airsoft BB’s.
In terms of accuracy the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 3 GBB Airsoft Pistol also performed really well, I did not make any adjustments to the gun after installing the shorter barrel not even to the hopup. I was pleased to see a fairly well centered 10 shot grouping mostly within a 2 inch grouping with perhaps one flyer extending that group to about 2.5 inches. All shots where well centered left to right but just a light bit under the target, a quick hopup adjustment should rectify that.

Here are the Umarex Glock CO2 BB Pistols I test out in this Video Review:
First, I put four rounds through my Chrony Chronograph to see what the real world FPS would be, keep in mind I was using rubber balls rather than paintballs and the rubber balls are a little bit heavier and smaller in diameter than paintballs so this could bring the FPS down a bit compared to the slightly lighter paintballs. Using a brand new CO2, the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol average 303 FPS which was higher than the claimed 290 FPS. Temperature inside my Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range was around 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Moving on to my accuracy testing as per my usual indoor field tests, I positioned myself 30 feet back from a fresh paper target and using a seated and rested shooting position I shot a full magazine (8 rounds) of rubber balls on target with the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. As mentioned before I was expecting around a 6 inch grouping and got pretty close to it getting closer to an 8 inch 8 shot grouping. The rubber balls did center well on the target all placing uniformly arounds the bullseye. If I was aiming at a human sized torso, I would have hit it with every shot from 30 feet away so good enough for me.
As expected I was able to get very similar and decent results compared to the other Umarex .43 Caliber CO2 Blowback Paintball Pistols I have already reviewed. I did want to mention some of shooting qualities you will find with the Umarex T4E TPM1 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. The trigger can feel a bit heavy especially using rubber balls as when you pull the trigger the inner barrel moves back and into the magazine going around the paintball and helping to seal off the CO2 from escaping. There is a bit of friction and I find the rubber paintballs seem to have more friction perhaps because the rubber grips more than the plastic surface on standard paintballs? This extra trigger friction or heaviness is really only noticeable when you are pulling the trigger slowly for accuracy testing but when shooting quickly as you would be more likely to do so in an actual training simulation, the trigger friction is all but forgotten about.
Starting off with my velocity power test using my Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph, I was able to get really close to the factory claimed fps of 360 with an average of 347 fps. Shooting conditions where decent in the See Can compared to outside temperatures in late October but still not that warm at only 16 Degrees Celsius (60 Degrees Fahrenheit), a lot warmer than outside but still not as warm as your typical summer day. In warmer conditions I am sure I would have hit the claimed 360 or even high fps with the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol.
Next for my Field Testing , I placed 10 shots into a paper target with my Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol from 30 feet down range using my standard seated and rested shooting position (Seated in the back and rested on a sand bag up front). I was able to get right around a 2 inch 10 shot group, not bad at all! The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol did shoot a little bit high and to the left which for some reason is common with most CO2 action airguns and I know it’s not entirely me since others have commented the their airguns shoot a bit to the left in most cases. Elevation was pretty close at 30 feet but just a tad high.
The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is very similar to their Umarex Glock 17 3rd Gen in terms of their mechanical build and function since both use the same magazines and have that semi blowback action but I can say the Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol not only looks better in my opinion but the slide is improved as it seems to have a less metallic sound and the slide wiggle is very minimal. The Umarex Glock 19X CO2 Blowback BB Pistol also did not lack in the performance department getting really close to the the claimed 360 FPS while shooting about the same 10 round grouping of 2 inches which is about what I expect for an action BB shooter. In this Field Test Shooting Video I focus on Umarex’s latest CO2 Blowback BB Airgun, the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. We have been waiting a while for this one to ship and now that it’s here I really want to get to shooting it and finding out if it performed as good as it looked and felt.
I loaded up my Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with a brand new 12 gram Sig Sauer CO2 cartridges along with some 4.5mm RWS 5.1 grain Zinc coated BB’s and began the Chronograph portion of my Indoor Field Test Shooting Video. The temperature was not overly warm sitting right around 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Umarex claims roughly around 300 fps from the Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol but I was able to get just a bit high with my 5 shots through the Chronograph averaging 310 fps.
I then put up a paper target 30 feet down range, reloaded my full size drop out metal magazine with 10 more steel BB’s and proceeded to carefully place the 10 shots into the target using a rested and seated shooting position. I was able to get around a 3.5 inch grouping but I feel I could have done better since several rounds actually shot one on top of the other. The Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 Blowback BB Pistol did shot just a little bit low and to the left but not a lot.
Low cost CO2 BB guns are not really known for their power and accuracy but sometimes they can actually test out pretty decent. I don;t expect a replica action shooter to be the best shooter but as long as it can get a relatively small grouping and pump out 4.5mm Steel BB's over 400 fps then that's good enough for me, at least with a non-blowback CO2 BB Pistol.
Starting off with my velocity test using my newly acquired Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph, I was able to get a little higher then the 410 factory claimed fps for the Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol with an average of 423 fps. This was with a slightly used (A couple of magazines shot already) but fully warmed up CO2. I was shooting in about room temperature settings so not too warm and not too cold.
Next I placed 10 shots with my Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol from 30 feet down range using my standard seated and rested shooting position and shot about a 1-1.5 inch 10 shot group with only one shot coming out a bit extending the range to the full 1.5 inches. The Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol did seem to shoot a little bit high and to the left but not by very much and perhaps it was a little bit because of the shooter?
I think the low cost Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol is a great choice for anyone looking for a licensed Glock BB pistol to get some trigger time with for pennies a shot and without having to always go to a gun range to shoot. The Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol feels and holds pretty much the same as a real Glock 19 and even has a similar trigger feel, maybe not 100% but in the ball park. Sure you will not get that simulated recoil since there is no blowback but you do get a lot of shots per CO2 and more power than most CO2 Blowback pistols.
This test of the DJI Spark Mini Drone was to make sure I could use it in the way I intended for it when I am outdoors and want to get that nice higher up flowing camera angel you can only get form a drone.. The method I use in this video doesn't even require a remote control or smartphone and I can have it take off right out of my hand.
I then use hand gestures to control the DJI Spark Drone to do things like: Place the drone in the right starting location, make the DJI Spark start recording video, have the Spark zoom up and out from me for an "eye in the sky" aerial follow me mode and then of course when I am finished what I want it to record have the DJI Sparkreturn to me and land again on my hand. Again all of this without even taking the remote out of the box or even using a smartphone to control the DJI Spark Mini Drone!

I am happy to say that the first Field Test using my new Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph went really well for me today. Perhaps I have found a new brand of Chronograph that will last longer than a year or so and give me reliable results that I can count on...
So other than that one chronograph reading error for the day which may have been an alignment issue on my part, the Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph performed excellent for me. I would also like to note that I was using the same Caldwell LED Lighting System I have been using in my Sea Can Indoor Airgun range which as expected fit perfectly onto their own Chronograph system and worked well.
