Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is excellent, it is super short and light as you would expect from a 1911 trigger, the makeup is almost non-existent with a super light release. Out of the box I find it perfect but you have the option of adjusting it with the supplied Allen key since it has competition adjustably. Like I said, out of the box it felt perfect to me so there is no real need to mess around with it.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol or made my Field Test Performance Video. I have shot my fair share of KJWorks Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols and they have in general performed very well for me, so I am confident when I get to the Field Test Shooting Video for the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol it will do a great job!
Build Quality: The KJWorks line of Airsoft Guns is known for their excellent build and overall quality and the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is no exception. You will find all metal for the most part including some CNC Aluminum parts like the barrel and compensator, the slide and frame are metal along with the magazine and most of the controls. The pistol grip and trigger guard is all in one and the main plastic you will find on the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. Weight, feel and balance is really good.
Realism: The KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a double stack modern tactical 1911 in design. All of the controls and the overall design are that of a 1911 and so if you are use to shooting 1911’s, then you will be accustomed to this Airsoft Pistol. The full length blowback simulates the shooting experience along with some recoil feel and also allows for that true single action only trigger we are use to with 1911’s with its short and super light trigger pull. The KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is fully field strippable which allows for easy to get to hop-up adjustments. I did notice that the Back-strap safety is non-functioning and just there for show, I am not sure why they did not make it a working safety?
Pros:
Lots of metal parts with good weight to it at nearly 2 pounds.

I’ve mentioned in many of my videos how I really like 1911 styled pistols and of course ones with full blowback operation, so the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol for me is a winner even before I even try it. Of course how it performs is going to be the real deciding factor, even if I am rooting for it. What is not to like though? It is almost all metal, has full blowback operation, easy to see fiver optic sights front and back, the ability to add a laser or tac light up front with a red dot on the back by installing the adaptor plate so you can really dress this one up and make it your own at the end of the day.
It’s been a while since I made a Field Test Shooting Video, probably well before I went to SHOT Show. I have been working on my SHOT Show 2025 Videos but those Interview Videos are all done and now it’s time to get caught up on some Field Test Shooting Video I have been wanting to make. So today I was able to make my Field Test Review Video for the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol and for some this is a pretty entry level BB Pistol many might overlook but if you are simply looking for a 1911 based BB Pistol that is super inexpensive to buy, and cheap to shoot, and you don’t need quick semi auto shooting. Then the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol Field Test Review could be an option for you. In this video I test out both the velocity and accuracy and I guess to some degree the usability so lets get started with the Velocity or fps portion of the testing. I loaded up the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol with a half full hopper of 4.5 mm Steel BB’s, so around 100 BB’s which is way more than I needed and I shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph hitting the following fps: 191, 193, 188, 195, 197 which averaged 193 fps. Umarex claims a velocity of up to 240 fps which I think is a bit high as temperature is not even a factor with a spring piston Airgun, so warmer conditions will not really make much of a difference here.
I then placed a brand new paper target on my backstop 30 feet down range and proceeded to shoot 10 rounds into it using a semi rested shooting position. Hands rested on a sand bag up front and sitting on a stool in the back. This generally gives me pretty good stability while performing these tests, but there is always some human factor to take into consideration. I was not all that impressed with the grouping I got, the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol likes to fling BB’s around a bit. You an see them curl so maybe some miscellaneous spin is being added in the barrel but it is not a consistent spin so the BB’s kind of spray all over the target that ended up giving me around a 8 inch grouping. Usually I can get around a 2 inch grouping with a BB Pistol that is generally what I would consider to be good accuracy.
I wish the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol Field had hit closer to the 240 claimed fps and was also a bit more accurate as it would then be more usable at the 30 foot range I tested it at. I would suggest if you buy or own this BB Pistol, that you shoot it at targets closer in at 10-20 feet as the poor velocity and accuracy would be a lot less noticeable at these ranges and for that purpose it would be just fine. If you want a super low cost BB Pistol option that is also a decent looking 1911 Replica, and that you don’t need to go out and buy any CO2 to use it. Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol is actually pretty decent. I would say it has a short to medium length with only a little bit of light take up and then an easy release that has no additional friction. You will have to cock the slide back for each shot which also cocks the hammer back allowing for a true single action trigger. The trigger its self is not like a traditional 1911 trigger in terms of looks but it does work well.
Accuracy: I have briefly shot the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol so I could make some initial comments about its performance as it is a very new product to me. I will be making a full Field Test Shooting Video down the road but for now I can say it performed a lot better than I was expecting. The claimed 240 fps seems believable to me as shots at 20 feet hit the target with very little delay and even at 30 feet the delay was acceptable. In terms of accuracy, out of the box, for the most part hit the target at both 20 adn 30 feet very close to where I was aiming which is what you are hopping for.
Build Quality: Build quality for the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol is also better than I would expect from a $29 Canadian almost all plastic BB Pistol. Everything felt nice and tight and fit and finish was good in general. There is even some metal where they could have gone with cheaper plastic, for example it has a metal trigger and slide catch release that is actually the safety. Of course the barrel and some other internal parts are going to be metal along with screws and such.
Realism: The Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol is a fairly believable replica of a more modern 1911 45 caliber semi auto pistol. Other than it being mostly plastic and much lower in weight, at around 1.25 pounds, the Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol does look the part with a working slide (for cocking the spring), a full size drop out magazines, a recessed barrel and a lot of detail in the finishing of it. I find it to be a little bit wider than a real 1911 would be in the grips and even the main frame and slide by just a bit.
Pros:
Super low coast to buy and shoot, no CO2 required, just need 4.5mm Steel BB’s and away you go.
Shoots pretty good, BB’s got to the target a lot faster than I was expecting them to and they shot where I was aiming in general.
Decent looking Replica of a modern 1911 Semi Auto Pistol.
Has a picatinny rail for adding accessories if you want to.
Single Action Trigger is pretty decent, a bit of take up but medium light weight to it.
Has a close to full size magazine that looks the part.
Magazine has a 200 round hopper capacity with 13 rounds being loaded into the feeder at a time.
Safety is worked into the slide catch release which adds to the realism in terms of looks.

Comments:
The Umarex DSX 45 Spring BB Pistol is a super inexpensive BB Pistol but don’t let that stop you from considering it to add to your collection. It has a lot going for it in my opinion. First off the price is super low to buy and to shoot, you only need a bunch of BB’s and you can shoot all day for a couple of bucks. It looks pretty believable as a 1911 Replica. The build quality and detail is a lot better than you should get for only $30 dollars here in Canada and when I quickly tried it out, it actually shot pretty hard for a spring BB Pistol and it seemed to hit the target right where I aimed even at 30 feet away. It even has a full size magazine that holds 200 rounds with a quick load 13 round spring feeding system to keep the fun going. Kind of a no brainer if you’re looking for a cheap and fun time.

Trigger Pull: The Crosman SNR357 CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver has both a single and double action trigger, meaning you can pre-cock the hammer and shoot in single action which has a light short trigger pull. Or you can simply shoot in double action by pulling the trigger when the hammer is down and the trigger will cock the hammer and also release it to fire the Revolver. In double action the trigger is noticeably longer and heavier than in single action as your trigger finger now has to do all the work for the action. Having both single and double action is nice as you can shoot in action rapid fire using the double action or slow down and shoot with more accuracy in single action.
Accuracy: I have not tested out this exact Crosman SNR357 CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver but I have reviewed several similar products from Dan Wesson which essentially are the exact same mechanical gun manufactured by Wingun for both ASG and Crosman. I will be making a new Field Test Video for the Crosman SNR357 in a week or two but you can take a look at my recent Field Test Video for the Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold version which is mechanically the same gun as the Crosman SNR357 CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver.
Build Quality: When it comes to the build of the Crosman SNR357 CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver, it is alsmot all metal other than mainly the grips and the CO2 tab as far as I can tell. It weighs in at nearly 2 pounds even for a more compact revolver so it feels very hefty in the hand. In similar Dan Wesson models there has been some concerns with the hammer feeling a bit sloppy but this has never caused any concern in terms of functionality. I also am not a fan of the way the grips slide back for access to the CO2 as they can come off and misalign when trying to put them back in place. Other than that this pistol is a solid well made revolver.
Realism: The Crosman SNR357 CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver is styled after a 357 type snub nosed revolver and looks for the most part true to scale and form. As this product design was one of the first shell loading revolvers back in the day, manufacturers had to use parts that where already available as in the CO2 valves which where at the time a bit longer than they can make now. Because of this, the area between the cylinder and the back the revolver is a bit long to accommodate the longer valves made at that time. This does distorts the gun a little bit but to be honest most people will not notice.
Pros:
Design has been around for a while now and so it is well tested.
A decent looking replica of a 357 type revolver.
Single and double action trigger allows for both action and more laid back and precise shooting ability.
400 claimed fps is more than adequate for plinking and action shooting.
Always fun loading up the 6 removable shells and placing them in the cylinder.
Fully adjustable sights for dead center shooting.
CO2 is fully well hidden inside the grips.
Can choose between shooting pellets or BB’s.
Cons:
Barrel is not recessed.
Area between cylinder and hammer is a bit long as it has to accommodate the CO2 valve.
Grip removal can be a bit finicky.
Comments: The Crosman SNR357 CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver is far from a new styled gun on the market, it’s been around for about a decade originally introduced main stream by ASG as their Dan Wesson 357. Being an older styled airgun means any issues it may have had are now for sure worked out so you know you are getting a solid and reliable Air Pistol here. If you are looking for an updated 357 then take a look at the Dan Wesson 715 series as some of the issues I have mentioned with the SNR357 are worked out on the newer style 357 Revolvers.
I have already reviewed several Crosman 357 Pellet/BB Revolvers in the past like the Crosman Vigilante which also has the ability to shoot both .177 caliber pellets and 4.5mm Steel BB’s, (Really they all are with the right magazine). With the Vigilante my pellet chronograph tests got similar results but with Steel BB’s the Crosman Vigilante did a lot better than my Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver using a similar 6 inch barrel. As expected both the Crosman Vigilante and the Crosman Triple Threat did about the same in terms of accuracy getting better results with pellets over Steel BB’s.
Starting with the velocity portion of my Indoor Field Test Shooting video, I placed a brand new 12 gram CO2 into the Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver and tested out some 7 grain .177 caliber Lead Pellets. I averaged 382 fps in what I would consider normal indoor temperature ranges so you can expect a bit higher velocities in warmer conditions. Moving on to 4.5mm 5.1 grain Steel BB’s, I averaged quite a bit lower velocity at 288 fps. I was surprise since it was almost 100 fps lower than the heavier 7 grain lead pellets. The logical reason for this is that lead Pellets fit the barrel much more snug, stoping any CO2 from getting around them which helps increase the velocity over Steel BB’s which are a hard metal and need to be slightly smaller in diameter and therefore do let some CO2 get by reducing the pressure behind them.
For the accuracy porting of the the Indoor Field Test I shot 10 rounds for my pellet magazine first and then 6 rounds for the BB magazine, simply because this is how many rounds each magazine holds… Makes sense right? Even with the pellet magazine holding 10 rounds over the BB magazine’s 6 rounds, the Pellet magazine was still able to get a much tighter grouping at around 1 inch over the BB target which was closer to 3 inches. BB’s seemed to really like to hook a bit with the Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver, so I would for sure go with pellets if accuracy is importatn to you. Both pellets and BB’s shot a little bit high and to the left from the bulls-eye but that can easily be adjusted with the fully adjustable rear sight.
The Crosman Triple Threat performed rather as expected and was not a big surprise other than the BB’s really having a much lower velocity this time around. It is clear to me that I would not waste my time shooting Steel BB’s unless this is all I had on hand as they where not only much slower but also a lot less accurate. Over time the steel BB’s could damage the rifled steel barrel effecting future pellet accuracy. The Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver offers a lot of options with ammo choice and barrel choice that alter it’s looks and even performance to some degree but if you want a Crosman 357 type CO2 Revolver than it for sure gives you the most flexibility.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver like pretty much all of the 357 type Crosman Revolvers is rather nice in single action with virtually zero take-up and it has a not too light weight with a predictable feel to it. In double action it does get much longer and heavier but still very usable. If you have larger thicker finger then you may want to start off in single action as the finger opening is a bit tight.
Accuracy: I have not specifically tested out the Crosman Triple Threat so far but I would be very surprised if it was any different than the standard Crosman 357 and the Crosman Vigilante I have already done Field Test Reviews for. Other than the shape of the outer barrel, both of these guns are virtually the same including the frame and the 6 inch barrels. Back in 2012 when I tested out the Crosman 357 I averaged around 400 fps using mid grain lead pellets and was able to get a 1 to 1.5 inch multi-shot grouping at 30 feet away from my paper target. I will be making an update Field Test Shooting Video so we will see if I can replicate these results with the standard Crosman 357 and Vigilante CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver.
Build Quality: The CCrosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver is a fairly basic pistol that incorporates a variety of length plastic outer barrels and inner steel barrels (3/6/8 inches), the grips are also plastic as expected and so are the magazines and sights. Most everything else is metal including the receiver, trigger and hammer. This line of Crosman 357 pistols has been around for decades so you can expect hours of fun and reliable shooting with their multi-barrel dual ammo version.
Realism: There are for sure a lot more realistic looking Replica Revolvers out there with swing out cylinders that eject the shells just like their real steel counterparts, but where the Crosman Triple Threat shines is in performance, reliability and consistency. You will get more shots per CO2, higher fps and better accuracy with the Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver over other more realistic Revolvers on the market.
Pros:
Inexpensive Pellet revolver with a proven track record that goes back decades.
Good usage of metal parts where you need them most. (Metal trigger, hammer, frame, barrel, CO2 Tab screw

Comments: The Crosman Triple Threat CO2 Dual Ammo Revolver is basically another reskinned Crosman 357 at the end of the day with a ton of options including 3 different barrel lengths that will change the look, size and power depending on your needs. You also have the choice of what ammo you want to use, cheaper 4.5mm Steel BB’s or more accurate and even higher velocity lead pellets for greater downrange energy and precision. If you are not sure which Crosman 357 type revolver to get? The standard 357… the Vigilante or the Triple Threat, maybe go with the Triple Threat at the end of today as it offers the most options and variety of configurations.

This is not exclusive to Airguns since trends of Airguns are highly influenced by what type of Real Steel Pistols are popular to people. This is often based on what people see portrayed in movies and TV Series, and also promoted online. There is for sure an overlap in what is popular and it is hard to say what is influencing what? Is it the popularity of Pistols out in the real world that influences what we see being used in the movies and on TV? Or is it what we see in Movies and TV that influences our choices of pistols out in the real world? Perhaps it is a combination of both?
My list is based on my own personal experience and does not represent the entirety of types of Pistol designs available.
In this Update Preview Video I take a look at three CO2 Air Pistols from ASG, Gamo and Barra. All shoot 4.5mm steel BB’s and one can also shoot .177 caliber pellets. two of them have blowback action. Two are also styled after the popular 1911 Semi Auto Pistol. The ASG 1911 has a unique magazine and chambering system that is the first I have seen of this in a Blowback Airgun. It offers with blowback operation along higher fps and a nice light semi auto trigger, which is a combination not offered in many Airguns.
I have made a fair amount of video reviews for the Dan Wesson Line of AIrguns that encompass Table Top and Field Test Reviews on several versions of the Dan Wesson line: BB, Pellet, Airsoft, in a variety of barrel and color choices. It has been a while, so why not make another Review Video to revisit the Dan Wesson Line and so this time here we have the Steel BB version in a 2.5 inch barrel length. As always I will test they CO2 Revolver to find out what the velocity is and how accurate it is shooting at a paper target. Here we go with the Velocity test! I placed a brand new CO2 in the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver and shot a cylinder full of 4.5mm steel BB’s that weigh 5.1 grain through my Chronograph. The temperature was average so about room temperature. Only the last 4 of my shots registered on my Chronograph as it was acting up a bit on me at first two shots but I did manage to average 332 fps with the last four. The first two shots would have been a little bit faster had they registered on my chronograph so this may have brought up the average a bit to say around 334…
I then placed a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and proceeded to unload a full 6 round cylinder into it, I was shooting in single action with the hammer cocked back between shots. I was also using a semi rested shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front and seated in the back for stability. Generally speaking even with Steel BB’s I can get close to a 1-2 inch grouping with hess Dan Wessons but this time my 6 shot grouping only produced a 3 inch group? It was probably me as there is always some human error involved and each test can result in different results so keep that in mind. The grouping was well centered out of the box but the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver does have fully adjustable sights in case yours is a bit off.
It never get’s old loading up the shells with ammo and placing them in the cylinder followed by either quick action shooting or more relaxed and accurate single action shooting, then repeating again and again… The original Dan Wesson line of revelers has been around for a long time now and if I am not mistaken was the first Airgun revolver to use reloadable shells. We now have more refined 715 version of the Dan Wesson which does have some improvement but the original versions still hold strong and are very capable and fun shell loading revolvers that come it a bit lower price tag then the newer 715 versions so no matter which version you get you will have lot of fun shooting and reloading these enjoyable Airguns!

Trigger Pull: The ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver shoots in true modern revolver style offering single and double action. The double action has a bit of friction to it since the cylinder is being rotate during the first part of the trigger pull and there is a spring fed metal gasket between the barrel and the cylinder that creates a seal but does add some resistance to the trigger pull in double action. Single action is much lighter as expected since pulling the hammer back turns the cylinder removing that friction point from the equasion.
.Accuracy: So far I have not done my Filed Test Shooting Video for the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver, but I plan to in the near future as a revisit since I have made a lot of similar Field Test Videos for the Dan Wesson line of products in 4.5mm Steel BB and 6mm Airsoft, here is a link to me shooting the 8 inch a while back in my old setup. Wow, this one goes back to 2014 almost 10 years ago!
Build Quality: The ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver overall is really well built with good weight to it and a nice fit and finish, I do like the Gold version in this 2.5 inch version. It is almost all metal with the exception of the grips which are made of a semi hard plastic. One beef I have with the original ASG Dan Wesson line of revolvers are how the grips slide back to access the CO2, closing them can be a bit of a chore as they can come off their track super easily. The other complaint I hear about them is the play in the trigger and hammer side to side.
Realism: The ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver like all the other ASG Dan Wesson Revolvers is very realistic with its realistic pop out cylinder and 6 removable shells you can reuse and load up for numerous rounds of shooting. You can also buy additional shells and have them preloaded and ready to go in the Speed loader to speed things up. Two things about the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver that take away a bit from the realism would be the non recessed barrel and the rather large space in front of the hammer. A real steel Dan Wesson or even most revolvers do not have this large space. I believe they did this to allow for the internal valve system. The newer Dan Wesson 715 however was designed with a smaller space in front of the hammer.
Pros:
It's a revolver with actual shells! Gives you the feeling of a real 6 shooter.
Almost all metal design with good weight and feel.

It’s been a while since I reviewed one of the first generation ASG Dan Wesson Revolvers and the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch Gold CO2 BB Revolver does bring back some memories for me going back almost a decade. If I’m not mistaken this revolver was the first one to implement actual removable and reloadable shells making Airgun Replica Revolvers a lot more interesting and realistic! I do kind of prefer the newer 715 version as they are even beefier than the original ASG Dan Wessons and ASG has fixed the sloppy hammer and trigger along with the space in front of the hammer has been reduce making the 715 even that much more realistic.

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol in the Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range to find out what the real world velocity and accuracy is for it. I first put 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average out the fps and then I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and put 10 rounds into it to see how close of a grouping I can get. Starting off with the Chronograph velocity test Sig says you can expect around 300 fps. I was able to average 286 fps using a brand new CO2 in what I would consider to be about a room temperature which means in warmer conditions I am sure we can get the claimed 300 fps made by Sig Sauer. I have been able to get higher velocities with other KWC 1911’s so perhaps with slightly lower fps for the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol we may get more shots per CO2?
Next I loaded 10 rounds into the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol and carefully placed them into a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using a seated position in the back with my hands resting on a sand bag up front which is fairly stable but there will still be some human factor which can effect overall accuracy a bit. My results where decent with about a 2 inch grouping that included 6 rounds right in the bullseye so out of the box the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol sights where good to go.
The Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is another nice addition to the KWC built 1911 lineup and I do like the Sig Sauer/KWC customization of this version, maybe one of my favorite KWC 1911’s out there? You can expect around 300 fps and nice 2 inch grouping at 30 feet which will make this a perfect action plinker for shooting pop cans or targets at close to medium ranges.

Trigger Pull: The Single action only trigger pull on the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is typical of what you will find on a KWC Blowback 1911, and that’s a good thing since it is short light and crisp similar to a real 1911 semi auto pistol.
Accuracy: I haven’t done my official field test shooting video so I can not comment exactly on how well this version of the KWC 1911 series will perform, but since I havre reviewed many similar versions of the KWC 1911, it should shoot similarly. That said I hope to expect a velocity around 300-330 fps and a 10 shot grouping between 1.5 and 2.5 inches.
Build Quality: The Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol like the other KWC 1911 Blowback BB Pistols has in a sense been perfected over time as the Original Tanfoglio Witness 1911 I Review came out over a decade ago and although it did have a few problems at first with the safety it all got worked out in the end and versions today are well made and reliable. As with all Airguns the metals used are not firearms grade quality so you do need to be a bit more careful with them but if you do you will get years of use out of them.
Realism: The Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is a lsenced replica of the real steel Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion 45 ACP and from looking at photos on line or the Sig Sauer 45 APC version it is virtually identical in a appearance other than the hammer which on the 45 ACP version seems to have a larger and more oval skeletonized opening. That’s pretty minor in the scheme of things. As this is a full blowback Air Pistol, the mechanical functions mimic the real steal version very well and as expected you can even fully field strip this BB Pistol.
Pros:
Based on the tried and true KWC 1911. Most parts should be mix and match.

Full metal construction, has great realistic weight to it.

Comments: Every time a new Blowback 1911 Airgun comes out I seem to say this one is my new favorite and well here we go again… Not only do I like 1911’s I also really like Sigs. I also seem to be a fan of town tone guns as it makes the parts on the gun really stand out in contrast to each other and I like that look. So when you put all of these things together it makes for a real winner in my books. With so many Blowback 1911 choices out there it is hard to make up ones mind, I would consider the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol to be in the top 3 for sure!

I decided to find out what the differences would be using the included internal short barrel and the extended external barrel since the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol does come with both in the box to allow for higher fps and easier import into Canada. The KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is rated for 360+ fps using the extended longer barrel so I used that one first to establish a baseline and was able to achieve a 394 fps 4 shot average. Switching up to the shorter internal barrel without the extension, the velocity was reduces as expected and I got an average 3 shoot velocity of 301 fps. So I can safely say that the barrel extension added an additional 90+ fps to the velocity in this case!
Next I placed a brand new paper target 30 feet down range and shot ten 20 gram Airsoft BB’s into it using a seated shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front, this allows for a fairly stable platform to shoot from but is not without some human error to factor in. I also decided to use the barrel extension for this test as the threading on the end of the internal barrel can disrupt airflow causing air turbulence a bit and effect accuracy. I was able to get around a 2 inch grouping with my 10 rounds. The KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol shot a bit low and to the left out fo the box, adjusting the hop-up should correct the elevation but in terms of windage there is not sight adjustment other than perhaps playing around with the front removable sight and trying to movie it a bit to the left so as to make it shoot more to the right.
My take on the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is it is a solid Airsoft Shooter with great modern 1911 tactical looks. The white dot sights make it a lot easier for my older eyes to line up on the target which makes this more practical for me. I also like the higher capacity magazine which again makes this a decent side arm for Airsoft wars. If you like the look of the 1911 but want it in a bit more of a modern configuration then the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol may just be the way to go!

The WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol shot fairly well on the bullseye up and down with the out of the box hop-up setting but it did shoot just slightly to the left. Since there are no sight adjustments you will have to factor this into your aim point when shooting out at farther ranges, but at around 30 feet you should not have much problem shooting a human sized target or even a pop can.
All in all the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol perfumed as expected with consistent fps and a nice 10 shot grouping on my paper target. I did find the sights a bit hard to see as my eyes are not what they use to be so black sighted pistols with whit dot sights make it a lot easier for me to line up my target. People with younger eyes will most likely not have this problem but for us a bit older guys, keep this in mind. If you’re looking for a classic 1911 A1 that performs well and looks really nice then the WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol may be just the perfect fit for you!

There is virtually no take-up in the trigger, and then a predictable nice and light release. Trigger reset is almost non existent like most 1911’s.
Accuracy: I have not yet made my Field Test Shooting Video for the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol but plan to next week so stay posted for that video. I will be testing out both the included extended barrel and internal short barrels to see what the velocity difference will be and then when it comes to accuracy I will test out the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol using the extended barrel to exclude the threading on the short barrel interfering with airflow and accuracy.
Build Quality: The KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really great looking pistol with its tan with black/dark accent finish. You will find it has that KJWorks solid build quality, it is virtually all metal even including the chunky grips being metal. Fit and finish is excellent, I’m not sure if there is a better made Airsoft 1911 out there?
Realism: As is with most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols they are built to look and act the part of their real steel counterparts and the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol checks off all the boxes here! All mechanical parts work just like the real steel version and you can easily field strip the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol to swap out the internal barrel and adjust the hop-up. I like the fact that If you are not a fan of the compensator extension then you will be happy to know that KJWorks also includes a standard barrel bushing you can replace it with to shorten up the gun and make it look more traditional to a 1911.

Full metal gun with good weight to it.

Excellent fit and finish as always with KJWorks pistols.

Comments: In terms of Tactical 1911’s, I would saye the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is one of my favorites out there. I really like the tan with dark highlights and the way KJWorks decided to match up the metal grips with the compensator with what I would call a dark chrome look to them. The KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol really does look like it is right out of a video game or movie but if you want to dress it down a bit you can also remove the compensator to make it look more like most other Tactical 1911’s. I guess all that’s need to do now is test the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol out in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Range and see how well it performs!

Build Quality: The WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really gorgeous looking pistol in the stainless finish. You will find it has an overall solid build quality, it is virtually all metal with only the grips and some internal parts like the gas chamber and nozzle being plastic. There is almost zero slide wiggle and all the mechanical parts work and engage nicely. The only thing I noticed was that the ejection port near the front could have been finished a little bit better as there seemed to be some slight ridges in the metal there.

Comments: As I have mentioned in many of my other videos, I am a huge 1911 fan and even go so far as to prefer the standard Government issue over all others as it is the most basic and closest to its original version. There are a ton of BB and Airsoft Blowback 1911’s available now so it is really hard to pick which one to get understandably. If you are a WE fan then this choice should be fairly easy, if you are not sure about WE then all I can say is this is one of the nicer 1911 A1’s and if you want a lighter weight gun over a heavier gun then that may also play a roll in your buying decision. I can’t comment just yet on performance but I will know shortly so stay posted. If it performs well then there is no reason not pick yourself up on of these WE 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistols!

In this Replica Airguns Vimeo Field Test Shooting Video I put the KWC / Umarex Mod. 92 A1 andElite Force 1911 TAC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols through my Indoor Sea Can Shooting Test. Fist I find out what the real world velocity is by placing 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average out the FPS. I then shoot 10 rounds on a paper target for 30 feet back using a semi rested shooting position, sand bag up front and seated in the back.
Starting with my velocity test for both CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols I made sure to use a brand new CO2 along with .25 gram Airsoft BB’s so a bit heavier than what was used for the official stats. Both Umarex Airsoft Pistols shot really similar velocities with the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 A1 averaging 364 FPS and the Umarex Elite Force 1911 TAC averaging 365 FPS. If I had been using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s I am sure these numbers would have been closer to the claimed 400 or so FPS.
Moving on to the accuracy test again I performed this test which each Umarex CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. The Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 A1 performed a little bit better than the 1911 with all 10 shots grouping within 1.5 inches and very well centered on the target. The Umarex Elite Force 1911 TAC did have a slightly wider grouping closer to 2 inches and was a lilt bit high on the target but center nicely left to right. Of course the full auto mode on the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 A1 did not produce anything even close to a tight group but it is always fun shooting in full auto :)
All in all both of these KWC / Umarex CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols performed well for me in terms of meeting their expectations for velocity and accuracy. We have them in our online Replica Airguns Stores in either KWC Unlicensed or Umarex Licensed versions so take your pick!
