If you have been watching my Video Reviews you may have picked up on the fact that I am a bit of a 1911 fan! Perhaps it goes back to my Magnum PI day, I am sure I have watched every episode a bunch of times as a kid and growing up, Tom Selleck’s side arm of choice was the classic Colt 1911 A1 and I guess it brushed off on me. I just like the look and feel of the classic 1911!
There have been a number of BB firing Airguns that have come out over the years so I thought I would go over a few of my favorite versions and talk a little bit about their history and cover a few different version most actually made by KWC based off of their original full blowback CO2 1911.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Kimar Model K 760 is a bit stiff but on a beginner gun I would recommend the trigger to be on the heavy side for safety reasons and also to teach correct trigger control. It did not seem to effect my shooting at all which was nice.
Accuracy: Very good, I was surprised at the tight group I got from a semi rested position and with open sights, I nearly got a 3/4 inch group from 30 feet out which is about the best I can expect from just about any gun I have shot in the same manner. The Kimar Model K 760 spring piston break barrel rifle also shot true to it's claimed feet per second rating and got right around the 450 fps velocity mark.
Build Quality: The Kimar K 760 .177 air rifle is not going to win any prizes for style or craftsmanship but it gets the job done and in about as simple a manner as is required. With that said, what can really go wrong with it?Crank the barrel and pull the trigger. The lack of a safety does not really bother me as I never ever trust a safety and it's always good to learn how to keep a gun safe at all times even when you "believe" it is not loaded or ready to shoot. There is some plastic found on the Kimar K 760 like in the sights and the stock but the mechanical parts are all metal including the trigger.
Coming in at around $50, you can not ask the world from the Kimar Mod. K 760 .177 Caliber Spring Piston Rifle! What you can ask for is for decent accuracy and usable fps, and that's exactly what you are going to get from the Kimar K 760. This break barrel air rifle is really perfect for a beginner shooter on a budget or even for someone who may want to pack it around in some ugly situations where you wouldn't want to subject your high priced top quality air rifle. For the money you really can't lose with this one!

This brand new air Italian made rifle from Kimar in .177 caliber is an ideal first air rifle for plinking targets in the back yard and because of it's very compact size it is excellent for small or first time shooters. Don't assume it doesn't have any power? You get up to 450fps velocities which makes the Kimar K 760 useful for shooting small rodents.
The Kimar 760 is very inexpensive yet has a high quality finish on the synthetic stock and metal work and fires accurate groups from 15 meters out with its open sights which are adjustable for windage and elevation.
We now have some extra magazines available for our popular BB shooting Colt Special Combat! Not only odes the magazine hold the 20 rounds of BB's but also a CO2 cartridge. Today, my ASG CZ 75 P-07 DUTY and Dan Wesson 6 and 8 inch Revolvers arrived along with an Umarex Colt Special Combat. This is kind of a big deal because all of these guns virtually don't exist here in North America. I have been wanting these guns for some time but until now, I had no way to get them! I guess the best part of having a web-store is I have a say in what we are going to carry. And lucky for me I have a really resourceful product manager who was able to locate and import these fine guns not only for myself but also for anyone else here in North America wanting to place an order for one in our Replica Airguns Store.
Let's take a quick look - I won't get too detailed as I will be doing dedicated reviews for all of these guns shortly...
The ASG Dan Wesson's: 6 inch Silver and 8 inch Black
Right off the bat, both of these guns are just flawless. Their finish and quality control is top notch. They have a good solid weight to them and all the moving parts feel tight and responsive. They offer both double and single action and come with a speed loader and six brass shells where the 4.5mm BB's are located. You also have the option of using the included accessory rail for mounting a scope or Red Dot sight.
Again I was really impressed with the quality of this blowback 4.5mm BB shooter! Even though the CZ 75 P-07 DUTY has a polymer frame it has good weight to it, probably because of the metal slide and good usage of metal in other areas like its drop out 20 round metal magazine and metal even in the CO2 door. There is amazing detail and realism all over this gun, it even has the original 9x19 markings on the slide and ejection port, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this air gun version and the real steel without a very close inspection!
Umarex Colt Special Combat
OK, so the Colt Special Combat isn't a blowback BB pistol! Once you pick it up and take a close look at all the work that went into this gun, you will soon forget all about the blowback. The tradeoff here is more power and usable shots along with features like an all metal design, a working slide, a full size drop free metal magazine, adjustable sights and both a single and double action trigger. Having a classic 1911 that is as nice as this one in my airgun collection is a real treat!
