Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is excellent, it is super short and light as you would expect from a 1911 trigger, the makeup is almost non-existent with a super light release. Out of the box I find it perfect but you have the option of adjusting it with the supplied Allen key since it has competition adjustably. Like I said, out of the box it felt perfect to me so there is no real need to mess around with it.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol or made my Field Test Performance Video. I have shot my fair share of KJWorks Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols and they have in general performed very well for me, so I am confident when I get to the Field Test Shooting Video for the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol it will do a great job!
Build Quality: The KJWorks line of Airsoft Guns is known for their excellent build and overall quality and the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is no exception. You will find all metal for the most part including some CNC Aluminum parts like the barrel and compensator, the slide and frame are metal along with the magazine and most of the controls. The pistol grip and trigger guard is all in one and the main plastic you will find on the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. Weight, feel and balance is really good.
Realism: The KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a double stack modern tactical 1911 in design. All of the controls and the overall design are that of a 1911 and so if you are use to shooting 1911’s, then you will be accustomed to this Airsoft Pistol. The full length blowback simulates the shooting experience along with some recoil feel and also allows for that true single action only trigger we are use to with 1911’s with its short and super light trigger pull. The KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is fully field strippable which allows for easy to get to hop-up adjustments. I did notice that the Back-strap safety is non-functioning and just there for show, I am not sure why they did not make it a working safety?
Pros:
Lots of metal parts with good weight to it at nearly 2 pounds.

Excellent fit and finish as always with KJWorks pistols.

Comments:
I’ve mentioned in many of my videos how I really like 1911 styled pistols and of course ones with full blowback operation, so the KJWorks KP-19 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol for me is a winner even before I even try it. Of course how it performs is going to be the real deciding factor, even if I am rooting for it. What is not to like though? It is almost all metal, has full blowback operation, easy to see fiver optic sights front and back, the ability to add a laser or tac light up front with a red dot on the back by installing the adaptor plate so you can really dress this one up and make it your own at the end of the day.
I don’t believe I have ever interviewed EKOL at SHOT Show in the past. I have dropped by their booth and taken a look at their product line and chatted but this year EKOL had some new and interesting products that I feel fit in nicely with Replica Airguns products and Replica Airgun enthusiasts.
In this EKOL SHOT Show 2024 Interview Omer from EKOL goes over three Airguns that are new for this year. The EKOL ES P92 which is a CO2 BB Blowback Beretta 92 Replica but rather than rebrand a KWC made version, EKOL makes their own in their own factory and it is very unique compared to other CO2 BB Blowback Beretta 92’s on the market.
Another product form EKOL based on the ES P92 Pistol is the EKOL ES P95B which I would call an SMG or submachine gun with a folding stock, but it only shoots in semi auto and is based off of EKOL’s ES 92 mechanically.
Lastly, Omer showed me one of their Replica Pellet Rifles, the EKOL AK which is a break barrel AK Replica Spring Piston Pellet Rifle that really looks a lot like an AK 47. EKOL also makes a very believable AR/M16 Break Barrel Pellet Rifle as well!
We have not carried much if any of the EKOL product line over the last few years so hopefully we can get some of these into our Online Replica Airguns Stores as they should even be legal for import into Canada.
I’m back from SHOT Show 2024 and I always like to start off my series of SHOT Show Interview videos with a Teaser Video that not only shows off a few new guns but also gives everyone a vibe of what it feels like to visit Las Vegas and SHOT Show. I can only show you so much because as you know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…
I did get the chance to interview several Airgun Companies that I will be putting together Interview Videos for, including Umarex, ASG, KWA, Barra, EKOL and Byrna. Unfortunately Sig Sauer is no longer attending SHOT Show and Crosman had significantly reduced the focus of their booth and really did not have much in the way of Replica Airguns to show.
For this Video 2 Accuracy Test I shoot all of the above listed Airguns at a paper target setup 30 feet down range using a semi rested shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front and seated on a stool in the back. It’s not perfect but works well enough. I didn’t take a ton of time with each gun since there where 4 to shoot in this Field Test Shooting Video so accuracy may have been a bit better if I took a little more time with each gun.
In Video 2 I test the power and penetration of each Airgun option shooting at a pop can, a soup can and a toilet paper roll so make sure to watch that video if you have not already watched it.
For this Video 1 Power Test I shoot all of the above listed Airguns first at a pop can, then a soup can and then a toilet paper roll. The ides is to test penetration abilities with the pop and soup can and then raw force shooting the toilet paper as it will absorb all the energy from each airgun round and by gauging how much the toilet paper reacts or moves it should tell us which airgun has the most raw power or energy.
In Video 2 I will be testing accuracy using my standard 30 round paper target setup in the Replica Airguns Sea Can so stay posted for that upcoming video shortly…
In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol in the Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range to find out what the real world velocity and accuracy is for it. I first put 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average out the fps and then I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and put 10 rounds into it to see how close of a grouping I can get. Starting off with the Chronograph velocity test Sig says you can expect around 300 fps. I was able to average 286 fps using a brand new CO2 in what I would consider to be about a room temperature which means in warmer conditions I am sure we can get the claimed 300 fps made by Sig Sauer. I have been able to get higher velocities with other KWC 1911’s so perhaps with slightly lower fps for the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol we may get more shots per CO2?
Next I loaded 10 rounds into the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol and carefully placed them into a paper target 30 feet down range. I was using a seated position in the back with my hands resting on a sand bag up front which is fairly stable but there will still be some human factor which can effect overall accuracy a bit. My results where decent with about a 2 inch grouping that included 6 rounds right in the bullseye so out of the box the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol sights where good to go.
The Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is another nice addition to the KWC built 1911 lineup and I do like the Sig Sauer/KWC customization of this version, maybe one of my favorite KWC 1911’s out there? You can expect around 300 fps and nice 2 inch grouping at 30 feet which will make this a perfect action plinker for shooting pop cans or targets at close to medium ranges.

Propulsion: 12 gram CO2. Action: Blowback single action only. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm Steel BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 16 round full size drop out metal magazine. Max FPS: 300+.
Trigger Pull: The Single action only trigger pull on the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is typical of what you will find on a KWC Blowback 1911, and that’s a good thing since it is short light and crisp similar to a real 1911 semi auto pistol.
Accuracy: I haven’t done my official field test shooting video so I can not comment exactly on how well this version of the KWC 1911 series will perform, but since I havre reviewed many similar versions of the KWC 1911, it should shoot similarly. That said I hope to expect a velocity around 300-330 fps and a 10 shot grouping between 1.5 and 2.5 inches.
Build Quality: The Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol like the other KWC 1911 Blowback BB Pistols has in a sense been perfected over time as the Original Tanfoglio Witness 1911 I Review came out over a decade ago and although it did have a few problems at first with the safety it all got worked out in the end and versions today are well made and reliable. As with all Airguns the metals used are not firearms grade quality so you do need to be a bit more careful with them but if you do you will get years of use out of them.
Realism: The Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is a lsenced replica of the real steel Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion 45 ACP and from looking at photos on line or the Sig Sauer 45 APC version it is virtually identical in a appearance other than the hammer which on the 45 ACP version seems to have a larger and more oval skeletonized opening. That’s pretty minor in the scheme of things. As this is a full blowback Air Pistol, the mechanical functions mimic the real steal version very well and as expected you can even fully field strip this BB Pistol.
Pros:
Based on the tried and true KWC 1911. Most parts should be mix and match.
Full blowback operation.
Excellent SAO 1911 trigger as expected.
Full metal construction, has great realistic weight to it.
Easy to see white dot sights front and back.

Comments: Every time a new Blowback 1911 Airgun comes out I seem to say this one is my new favorite and well here we go again… Not only do I like 1911’s I also really like Sigs. I also seem to be a fan of town tone guns as it makes the parts on the gun really stand out in contrast to each other and I like that look. So when you put all of these things together it makes for a real winner in my books. With so many Blowback 1911 choices out there it is hard to make up ones mind, I would consider the Sig Sauer 1911 Emperor Scorpion Blowback CO2 BB Pistol to be in the top 3 for sure!
In this Field Test Shooting Video I perform two main test in the Replica Airguns Sea Can using the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol. First a chronograph test to see what the real world velocity is and then I perform an accuracy test to see how accurate the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is at 30 feet from the target. Starting off with my chronograph velocity test. I decided to find out what the differences would be using the included internal short barrel and the extended external barrel since the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol does come with both in the box to allow for higher fps and easier import into Canada. The KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is rated for 360+ fps using the extended longer barrel so I used that one first to establish a baseline and was able to achieve a 394 fps 4 shot average. Switching up to the shorter internal barrel without the extension, the velocity was reduces as expected and I got an average 3 shoot velocity of 301 fps. So I can safely say that the barrel extension added an additional 90+ fps to the velocity in this case!
Next I placed a brand new paper target 30 feet down range and shot ten 20 gram Airsoft BB’s into it using a seated shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front, this allows for a fairly stable platform to shoot from but is not without some human error to factor in. I also decided to use the barrel extension for this test as the threading on the end of the internal barrel can disrupt airflow causing air turbulence a bit and effect accuracy. I was able to get around a 2 inch grouping with my 10 rounds. The KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol shot a bit low and to the left out fo the box, adjusting the hop-up should correct the elevation but in terms of windage there is not sight adjustment other than perhaps playing around with the front removable sight and trying to movie it a bit to the left so as to make it shoot more to the right.
My take on the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is it is a solid Airsoft Shooter with great modern 1911 tactical looks. The white dot sights make it a lot easier for my older eyes to line up on the target which makes this more practical for me. I also like the higher capacity magazine which again makes this a decent side arm for Airsoft wars. If you like the look of the 1911 but want it in a bit more of a modern configuration then the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol may just be the way to go!

Ammunition Capacity: 26 round full size dropout metal magazine. FPS: 366+ with extended barrel.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is exactly what your would expect from a 1911 pistol which is always a good thing as 1911’s are generally short and light which makes fast action shooting super fun and easy! There is virtually no take-up in the trigger, and then a predictable nice and light release. Trigger reset is almost non existent like most 1911’s.
Accuracy: I have not yet made my Field Test Shooting Video for the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol but plan to next week so stay posted for that video. I will be testing out both the included extended barrel and internal short barrels to see what the velocity difference will be and then when it comes to accuracy I will test out the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol using the extended barrel to exclude the threading on the short barrel interfering with airflow and accuracy.
Build Quality: The KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really great looking pistol with its tan with black/dark accent finish. You will find it has that KJWorks solid build quality, it is virtually all metal even including the chunky grips being metal. Fit and finish is excellent, I’m not sure if there is a better made Airsoft 1911 out there?
Realism: As is with most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols they are built to look and act the part of their real steel counterparts and the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol checks off all the boxes here! All mechanical parts work just like the real steel version and you can easily field strip the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol to swap out the internal barrel and adjust the hop-up. I like the fact that If you are not a fan of the compensator extension then you will be happy to know that KJWorks also includes a standard barrel bushing you can replace it with to shorten up the gun and make it look more traditional to a 1911.
Pros:
Full metal gun with good weight to it.
Heavy Full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish as always with KJWorks pistols.
High capacity full size drop out magazine that holds 26 rounds.

Comments: In terms of Tactical 1911’s, I would saye the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol is one of my favorites out there. I really like the tan with dark highlights and the way KJWorks decided to match up the metal grips with the compensator with what I would call a dark chrome look to them. The KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol really does look like it is right out of a video game or movie but if you want to dress it down a bit you can also remove the compensator to make it look more like most other Tactical 1911’s. I guess all that’s need to do now is test the KJWorks KP-16 GBB Airsoft Pistol out in the Replica Airguns Sea Can Range and see how well it performs!

In this Replica Airguns Vimeo Field Test Shooting Video I put the KWC / Umarex Mod. 92 A1 andElite Force 1911 TAC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols through my Indoor Sea Can Shooting Test. Fist I find out what the real world velocity is by placing 5 rounds through my Chronograph and average out the FPS. I then shoot 10 rounds on a paper target for 30 feet back using a semi rested shooting position, sand bag up front and seated in the back.
Starting with my velocity test for both CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols I made sure to use a brand new CO2 along with .25 gram Airsoft BB’s so a bit heavier than what was used for the official stats. Both Umarex Airsoft Pistols shot really similar velocities with the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 A1 averaging 364 FPS and the Umarex Elite Force 1911 TAC averaging 365 FPS. If I had been using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s I am sure these numbers would have been closer to the claimed 400 or so FPS.
Moving on to the accuracy test again I performed this test which each Umarex CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. The Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 A1 performed a little bit better than the 1911 with all 10 shots grouping within 1.5 inches and very well centered on the target. The Umarex Elite Force 1911 TAC did have a slightly wider grouping closer to 2 inches and was a lilt bit high on the target but center nicely left to right. Of course the full auto mode on the Umarex Beretta Mod. 92 A1 did not produce anything even close to a tight group but it is always fun shooting in full auto :)
All in all both of these KWC / Umarex CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols performed well for me in terms of meeting their expectations for velocity and accuracy. We have them in our online Replica Airguns Stores in either KWC Unlicensed or Umarex Licensed versions so take your pick!

The Barra Barra Schofield CO2 BB Revolver is a replica of the Schofield No. 3 single action revolver and utilizes 6 reloadable shells for a very realistic shooting experience. It is very solid in construction bing made mostly out of metal and weighs in at around 2.4 pounds. This version shots 4.5 mm Steel BBs at a velocity of up to 400 fps. It comes in a variety of barrel lengths and finishes so amen sure to have a look in our Online Replica Airguns Store for what we have available…
Next up from Umarex is the fully licensed Beretta Pietro Mod. 92 A1 CO2 Blowback Semi and Full Auto Airsoft Pistol, this product is distributed by Umarex but is made by KWC. Another solid metal pistol with a hefty 2.4 pound weigth that holds 21 rounds in its full size drop out metal magazine and offers both semi and full auto shooting at the flick of a switch!
Again from Umarex I showcase the Elite Force 1911 Tac CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol and like the Beretta Pietro it too is made in the KWC factory for Umarex. The 1911 Tac as the name suggest is a tactical version of the standard Colt 1911 but with some upgrades like a skeletonized hammer and trigger along with an ambidextrous safety, white dot sights front and back and a picatinny rail on the frame for add ons. You can expect velocity to be somewhere in the 400 fps range and the full size drop out metal magazine holds 15 Airsoft BB’s.
In this Preview Update Video three newer products, two Umarex Airsoft CO2 Blowback Pistols and one CO2 Blowback BB Pistol from Crosman. This is far from a full review which I will remaking for all of these Airguns in the near future. I simply go over some of the main specifications and show you quickly around each Airgun.
I often have people ask me what is more powerful in terms of one gun over another and which Airguns have more raw power, BB versus, Pellet, versus Airsoft, versus Paintball?
Well in this indoor field test shooting video I compare all of the above head to head to see which Airgun not only has the most raw power but also how well they perform on a target setup 30 feet down range since after all what does it matter how powerful a gun is if it can not hit the target!
The Airguns I used in this head to head shooting performance test where as follows:
Keep in mind the ammunition for each Airgun is very different not just in terms of materials but also their weight which will have a big effect on the energy they produce. For example for this test I used 4.6 grain 4.5mm Steel BBs, 4.6 grain 6mm Aluminum Airsoft BB’s. 6.9 grain .177 cal. Lead Pellets and 17.7 grain .50 cal. Rubber Paintballs.

It’s been a while since I had Blank Gun available for silent auction here in Canada and this one is an EKOL Firat Compact 9mm PAK Front Firing Blank Gun in great shape well kept and with only 20 rounds through it.
It comes with a hard shell case, the flare adaptor, take down tool and manual. Pretty much everything it came with. The finish is closest to a stainless but I believe was called Chrome back in the day. I would call it a Satin nickel finish? The EKOL FIrat is a lot like the EKOL Jackal which also came in compact and Magnum version and resemble a Beretta 92. The EKOL Jackal however is semi auto and full auto capable while the EKOL Firat is semi auto only. This will save you a lot of money on blanks since blanks cost around $40 for a 50 pack.

As with my standard Field Test Shooting Reviews, I shoot 5 rounds through my Chronograph to get a real world Velocity reading in feet per second. I also shoot 10 rounds into a paper target using a semi-rested position from 30 feet away. Since I had two versions of the EKOL ES 66, the long and short barreled versions I decided I would test pistols both on the Chrony and just the long barrel version for the accuracy testing.
So how did the EKOL ES 66 and ES 66C CO2 BB Pistols both do? In terms of fps, they both got into the 400+ range with the shorter barreled ES 66C version averaging 402 fps from 5 shots and the the longer barreled ES 66 getting a 444 fps 5 shot average. I was expecting the longer barrel ES 66 to outperform the shorter barrel ES 66 so this was no surprise. The temperature was not all that warm on this day but I did keep both guns fairly warm inside right up till I went outside and shot them. On a warmer day I would expect even better results.
Now for the accuracy results and don't hold your breath on this one... I have to say that the EKOL ES 66 was one of the worst BB guns I have shot to date in terms of accuracy at 30 feet. I could actually see the BB's curving after about 20 feet out, almost like they had some random spin on them? Perhaps the rifled barrel was catching a bit of grip on the smooth steel BB's and making them spin? Because this was so random it was hard to predict where the BB's where going. I also found that the EKOL ES 66 was sighted in way to high so at 30 feet I needed to aim very close to the bottom of the target and even still, about half of the BB's went well over and did not find the paper target. Perhaps actual lead BB's may be better in this pistol?
One thought I had was to somehow smooth out the rifling on the barrel as perhaps it needs to be worked in before more consistent shots can be obtained?
It was really too bad that I did not get the accuracy results I was looking for with the EKOL ES 66 Series of CO2 BB Pistols, I really like the overall quality and design of these Turkish made CO2 BB Pistols. Again perhaps some barrel work could improve the accuracy and make this a more well rounded BB gun.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull with both the EKOL ES 66 CO2 BB Pistols is fairly heavy in double action mode as the hammer spring is fairly firm. In single action mode the trigger pull lightened up a lot and allows for more precise shooting when required. The double action pull is fairly long and the release point is fairly far back.
Accuracy: I have not shot either of these EKOL ES 66 styled airguns but I have conducted a similar test using a similar EKOL BB Pistol, the EKOL ES 55 which is basically the same base gun with a different slide. I would expect all of the EKOL airguns to shoot about the same. Based on my past experience the ES 66 C and ES 66 should shoot right around 420 fps or more and get 1-2 inch groupings from 30 feet out. We will find out for sure when I conduct my official Field Test Shooting Review for them.
Build Quality: The EKOL ES 55 comes from a company that primarily makes blank pistols. EKOL makes this gun directly from a similar model (The EKOL Sava) that shoots blanks so in many ways the ES 55 and ES 66 are designed more like a real gun than an airgun. The EKOL ES 66 Series is all metal with rubber grips and feels fantastic in the hand. There are really no plastic parts to speak of and I could not find any quality concerns on these airguns at all! The Chrome finish is something you don't often see in airguns but does look nice, just watch out for those finger prints ;)
Realism: The EKOL ES 66 CO2 BB Pistol is not an exact replica but does look a lot like a browning Hi-Power other than some small cosmetic differences. The basic size and shape is very close. With the shorter EKOL 66 C, this similarity is harder to see.
All metal construction - very heavy and solid feeling gun.
Expect to have decent accuracy and good power.
Safety is actually a de-cocker but a nice touch.
Nice full size drop out Magazine that holds the CO2 and 4.5mm Steel BB’s.
Double and single action trigger / hammer.
One of the few BB pistols with a rifled barrel.
Nice wrap around ergonomic grips.
Very unique airgun, not a lot of them around.
Cons:
Some parts don't function - slide release - slide when CO2 is in the gun.
No cutout ejection port.
Sights are none adjustable.
Double action is a bit heavy and trigger take-up is long.
Comments:
EKOL makes several blank guns and I have reviewed many of them back when we used to be able to import more varieties of blank guns here in Canada. What makes the EKOL airgun version kind of different than most airguns out there, is that it is made very similarly to the way EKOL makes their blank guns. Many parts are interchanged so in some ways the airgun is a lot like the blank gun version which one could say is a lot like how a real gun is made. What I am getting at here is that the EKOL ES 66 and ES 55 look and feel more like real guns than an airgun. Make sure to pick one of these EKOL airguns up before we run out, our supply for them is limited and when they are gone we may not be able to get any more?

I've looked at several Gletcher Airguns over the last little while and finally got my hands on the Gletcher APS Blowback CO2 BB Pistol which is a replica of the Russian Stechkin Soviet Military sidearm introduced back in the 50's. It's kind of a bigger brother version of the Makarov, i was surprised at how large it actually was when i got my hands on it! The real steel version had the ability to shoot in both semi and full-auto but my Gletcher APS 4.5mm BB replica only shoots in semi auto.
