In this Field test Shooting Video of the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nagant CO2 BB Rifle I test out its velocity in feet per second and also what kind of accuracy I can get shooting at a paper target 30 feet away from a rested seated position with a sand bag up front.
Starting with the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nagant CO2 BB Rifle’s power I first placed 5 shots through my Chronograph using a brand new 12 gram CO2 and RWS 5.1 grain zinc coated steel BB’s. The lowest fps shot was 334 and the highest was 363 fps, averaging 344 for the 5 shots. Not all that fast for a CO2 BB rifle but keep in mind the inner barrel is the same length as the shorter barreled Gletcher M1891 which actually shot a m much higher average fps of 428. I was shooting the Gletcher M1891 on a much warmer day which will effect velocity with CO2 airguns but by nearly 100fps? Seems a little bit off?
Next I cleared my shooting bench and setup a fresh paper target 30 feet back and proceeded to see what kind of grouping I could get with the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nagant CO2 BB Rifle. I did not sight the gun in so I was only really interested in how close the BB’s would place together, not so much if I could hti bulls eyes. Perhaps I should have made sure I was close to the bulls eye since out of the box I was noticeably shooting low and to the left. It is really easy to adjust the sights to shoot higher but not so much for windage. That said I got about a 4 inch 10 shot grouping shooting the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nagant CO2 BB Rifle. Again compared to the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off little brother version the Gletcher M1944 didn’t perform as well in this test since I was able to get closer to a 2 inch grouping with the Gletcher M1891 in my earlier testing.
So what did I learn today? Maybe bigger is not always better? There are all sorts of things to consider when performing these test. Temperature, CO2 and BB’s being used but probably a lot of times it’s just me not exactly on my game that day. For me the main reason why I would buy the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nagant CO2 BB Rifle is not as much for how it shoots but more because where else can you get a historic bolt action BB rifle like this. And for some people that may be the only version they may are able to buy where they are located or if they don’t want the hassle of getting a firearms license.
Let's keep it short and simple and get right to my results. My five shot Chronic Testing to find out the real world velocity for the Gletcher TT-A Tokarev CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol shooting 5 rounds of .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's with a brand new CO2 resulted in an average of 434 fps, not bad at all for a Blowback Airsoft Pistol!
For some reason I thought the Gletcher TT-A Tokarev CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was shooting high so I originally time my first 10 shots at the bottom ring on my paper target and pretty much missed the target with every shot. My second go around aiming dead center on the target setup 30 feet away was much better resulting in 9 out of the 10 shots hitting all within about 3 inches of each other pretty well centered but just a tad bit low. Respectable for sure!
The Gletcher TT-A Tokarev CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol blowback is fairly heavy and it also has a fair mount of power for a CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol so you may want to use it more in an outdoor setting where you are not so close up and personal. The double action trigger is a little bit heavy but not bad and easy enough to get shots off quickly. Not a bad pistol overall and worth considering.
So I decided to revisit the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun and retest the accuracy in my new Sea Can using paper targets setup 30 feet away using a rested and lated shooting position. I also redid my Chronograph velocity test siren my new Chromo setup is working so well.
I did get very similar results with my velocity Chromo Test, my first test I averaged about 430 fps and this time I got 428 fps shooting a 5 shot string. Moving onto the accuracy potion of my Field Test Shooting Review for the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun, I did notice that it was shooting a little bit to the left, elevation was bang on but unfortunately with the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun you can only adjust elevation and not windage?
Even so I was able to get about a 1.5 inch grouping with 10 shots on target with the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun. But there was one mystery shot that seemed to for sure hit the target but left no indication of where it hit, perhaps I hit the same hole as my first shot?
The Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun is a really cool rifle, I would love to test out the Gletcher M1944 longer version but so far I have not been able to get my hands on one and have only seen it so far at SHOT Show. Keep checking our Replica Airguns online stereo for stock as our Gletcher inventory does go in and out of stock at times.
I have already made a Table Top Video Review for the Gletcher NGT Silver CO2 BB Revolver which for the most part is the same gun but in a 4.5mm Steel BB non rifled barrel version and as the title indicates with a different finish being the silver version. Other than finish and ammunition being used, both guns are virtually the same.
I always like getting outside and shooting the airguns I review even on these fall overcast days, at least the temperature was not too cold, right around 14 °C or 57.2 °F so decent for my testing purposes. The Gletcher NGT R like the BB shooting NGT is a fairly small air revolver and so pretty much anyone should be able to shoot this air revolver even if you have smaller hands, I did find that pre-cocking the hammer for single action shooting was a bit of a stretch when reaching over with the thumb, but you can just as easily shoot in double action, both trigger pulls are nice and light with the double action being a bit longer and heavier.
Loading the 7 round cylinder will take longer than your standard stick magazine BB pistol since you first need to pop some .177 caliber pellets into each shell, if you want to speed up the process you don't have to eject the shells to load them, you can simply index the cylinder and pop a pellet into each shell while still inside the cylinder.
In terms of fps performance, the Gletcher NGT R CO2 Pellet Revolver shot a little higher than expected getting a 4 shot average of 376 fps using 7 grain RWS Lead pellets, so around 50 fps higher than the claimed 328 fps on the box and even a bit higher than the steel BB version I tested earlier. This is really good considering the short barrel and fact that a revolver can leak a little CO2 between the cylinder and the barrel and even the cylinder and the CO2 valve.
I really felt comfortable using the rather old school fixed open post and notch sights, the grey/black finish on the Gletcher NGT R may be a bit hard to see on darker targets but shooting on my white target was no problem. My 7 shot grouping from 30 feet back using a semi rested shooting stance produced about a 1 inch grouping well centred vertically just a hair to the left so all in all the Gletcher NGT R CO2 Pellet Revolver has the power and accuracy I was hoping for even in such a small package.
In this Field test Shooting Review I get out from under my deck roofing and take my Chronograph and target shooting onto the pool area. Why not? The weather has been great and the pool is officially open and looking good :)
My pistol of choice for the Field Test Shooting video is the Gletcher BRT 84 All Metal CO2 BB Pistol. As per my usual Field Test Shooting Video Reviews, I test out the real world velocity for the Gletcher BRT 84 BB Pistol by shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph using a brand new CO2 and 5.1 grain RWS zinc coated Steel BB's. I did have a few Chronograph issues but got a solid 4 readings giving me an average of 421 fps.
I then stepped back 30 feet and shot 10 of the same RWS Steel BB's on a paper target to see what kind of accuracy I could get shooting the Gletcher BRT 84 All Metal CO2 BB Pistol. I was impressed to see a close to 1 inch grouping shooting from a rested position. I actually performed this test twice because the first time I forgot to record with my camera glasses but I still got similar results both times.
The Gletcher BRT 84 All Metal CO2 BB Pistol is a bit on the louder side with a nice cracking sound when fired. The double action trigger is decent, nice and predictable but a bit on the long and heavy side since it is double action only. The sights are none adjustable but the Gletcher BRT 84 CO2 BB Pistol shot pretty true to the center of the target, juts a bit low and to the right but not by much. Overall for under $100 and being all metal this is a nice replica Beretta 84 BB shooter with good pereormcane.
This is my Official Field Test Shooting Review video for the Gletcher CLT B25 CO2 BB Shell Loading Revolver. This pistol is actually made by KWC and is the same base gun that Umarex uses in their Licensed Colt Python 357 6 inch barrel version.
In this Shooting video I performance various Field Tests on the Gletcher CLT B25 using my Chronograph to get a true live performance reading of the velocity in fps. I also shoot 6 rounds at a paper target positioned 30 feet from my semi-rested position (Sand bag up front and standing in the back).
Velocity wise, the Gletcher CLT B25 CO2 BB Revolver shot a little low while using standard 5.1 grain zinc coated steel BB's coming in with a 5 shot average of 280 fps. the claimed the fps from Gletcher is 100 m/s which works out to 328 fps so there is room for some improvement, perhaps on a warmer day I may see these numbers?
I then moved back to my 30 feet shooting position to test out the accuracy using paper target, the Gletcher CLT B25 CO2 BB Shell Loading Revolver produced n OK 6 shot grouping that was just over 2 inches in diameter. Not supper but also not too bad considering the short barrel and how tight the front and back sights are together. I'm pretty sure I can do a bit better as one of the shots did pull a bit out form the rest making the grouping larger than it could have been.
Overall, the Gletcher CLT B25 CO2 BB Revolver shot pretty has a nice feel to it when shooting, the trigger/hammer setup is nice in both single and double action, the grips and balance feels good and overall this is a very fun shell loading BB revolver to shoot.

In this Field Test Shooting video I test out the performance of the Gletcher SW R25 using my Chronograph to get an actual Feet Per Second velocity rating, I also shot 6 rounds at a paper target setup 30 feet away using a semi-rested position (Sand bag up front and standing in the back).
Velocity wise, the Gletcher SW R25 CO2 Pellet Revolver shot pretty hard considering I was using 7 grain lead pellets (as compared to 5.1 grain steel BB's) and this was the shortest barreled version at 2.5 inches. The Gletcher SW R25 averaged a 337 fps 6 shot velocity with its highest fps shot of 351.
I then stepped back 30 feet and shot at a paper target, the Gletcher SW R25 CO2 Shell Loading Pellet Revolver produced a nice tight 6 shot grouping that was really close to 1 inches in diameter. Considering how short the barrel is and how close together the front and back sight are to each other, this is not a bad result at all. I am sure the rifled barrel helped a lot here. I did shoot a bit high and to the left but this can easily be corrected by adjusting the rear sight for windage and elevation.
Overall, the Gletcher SW R25 CO2 Pellet Revolver shot pretty hard and with good accuracy for a shell loading pellet revolver. It will be interesting to see how well the 8 inch version of this Gletcher Shell Loading Pellet Revolver does when I test it out shortly?
In this Field Test Shooting video I test out the performance of the Gletcher Grach NBB using my Chronograph to get a real world Feet Per Second rating, I also take aim 30 feet back and shoot 10 rounds at a paper target using a semi-rested position (Sand bag up front and standing in the back).
In terms of velocity the Gletcher Grach NBB CO2 BB Pistol performed a little lower fps then I expected shooting just under 350 fps. It was about 15 degrees celsius on this day but I also kept the pistol indoors where it was nice and warm right up till shooting time. I used a brand new CO2 and my ammo of choice was RWS 5.1 grain zinc coated BB's.
Stepping back 30 feet and shooting at a paper target, the Gletcher Grach NBB CO2 BB Pistol produced a very tight 10 shot 1 inch grouping, not many BB's pistols have been able to get in that 1 inch grouping at least for me! The Gletcher Grach did shoot a little to the left and a bit low but not far off the bullseye. The sights are not adjustable so you will have to slightly adjust your aim point if you find yourself not exactly dead center.
I found the Gletcher Grach NBB to be extremely quite so if you are looking for a discrete backyard shooter then the Grach would be a good choice. I also found the trigger to be very good in both single and double action but when the BB mag is loaded to the max, the trigger first stage will be very heavy since the follower spring is holding the BB's in place and creating friction while a BB is loaded into the chamber. To fix this problems simple don;t load as many BB's in the magazine.
In this Field Test Shooting video I test out the performance of the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide using my Chronograph to get a real world Feet Per Second rating, I also step back 30 feet and shoot 10 rounds at a paper target using a semi rested position (Sand bag up front and standing in the back).
In terms of velocity the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide CO2 BB Pistol performed very close to the KWC SP 2022 review I did earlier shooting as high as 468 fps. I did have some chronograph miss-readings that made the average come down a bit but I would say a flawless string of readings would have been around 450+ fps.
Stepping back 30 feet and shooting at my paper target, the Gletcher SS 2202 CO2 BB Pistol produced a respectable 4 inch grouping that was just a little to the left but not by too much. I really like the trigger on the Gletcher SS 2202 CO2 BB Pistol, for a double action only pistol it is very smooth, light and not overly long! The release is very predictable and there is zero stickiness in the first stage.
The fairly high fps for a shorter barrel pistol is most likely due to a more than average amount of CO2 released per shot but even so you can expect close to 100 shots per CO2. If you plan on using the Gletcher SS 2202 in your back yard, keep in mind that it is louder than most CO2 BB pistols, it really gives a nice loud crack with each shot.
All in all a real decent performance out of the Gletcher SS 2202 Metal Slide CO2 BB Pistol, if you are a Sig Sauer fan like I am then this Sig Pro replica is a no brainer to have in your collection!

During this Field Test Shooting Video Review of the Gletcher P08 Luger CO2 Blowback BB Pistol, I test the actual real world velocity using my Chronograph and then conduct an accuracy test using paper targets from a controlled shooting position.
I shot 5 rounds through my Chrony Chronograph and got an average of 374 fps which was pretty decent for a blowback CO2 BB pistol on a not so warm early spring day (Around 10 degrees Celsius) I could see this Gletcher P08 BB Pistol getting around 400 fps on a warm summer day. I should be able to get around 80-100 shots from a single CO2 cartridge.
Next I performed my accuracy test from 30 feet back in a semi rested position, I was able to get a 1-5 to 2 inch grouping with 10 shots. The Gletcher P08 Luger CO2 Blowback BB Pistol does have a single action trigger which makes the release smooth and light but there is a bit of a sticky rough early trigger stage where a BB is loaded. When shooting fast this will not be as noticeable but when slowing down your shooting for accuracy it is noticeable for sure. I didn't seem to effect my accuracy all that much which was nice and I was able to get a pretty well centered grouping (just a tad to the left) with the none adjustable sights.
This Field test of the Gletcher P08 Luger BB Pistol goes to show that a blowback CO2 BB pistol can have both good feet per second performance and accuracy.
During this Field Test Shooting Video Review I take a look at the actual real world velocity of the Gletcher TT Tokarev Replica using my Chronograph along with some accuracy testing using paper targets with a controlled shooting position.
My Chronograph test did not go as smoothly as I would have liked but I did get enough shots to get a realistic 5 shot average 342 fps for this Gletcher TT Tokarev BB Pistol. My 5th shot was a bit lower than the first 4 since I had already shot off about 15 shots and because of the cool temperate outside the gun had cooled down a bit. On a warmer day I would expect to get close to 400 fps out of the Gletcher TT Tokarev CO2 Blowback BB Pistol.
Again this Field Test was plagued with difficulties, I actual performed my accuracy test twice for the cameras because during my first go at it, one of the cameras ran out of battery! Hey, it happens! Perhaps I felt a little rushed on my second target shooting test, since I didn't get as tight of a group as I did on the first test. The Gletcher TT is however capable of getting around a 1.5 inch grouping from 30 feet away and the TT shot very well centered for me which is good news since the sights are none adjustable.
I like the snappy blowback action, the Gletcher TT Tokarev Replica is not an overly large pistol and for such an old school design it really feels good in the hand while shooting. I also like the traditional post and notch sights. The Gletcher TT Tokarev CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is a single action only gun but I did find that the release of the trigger was a bit heavy which will take some getting used to.
Overall, the Gletcher TT Tokarev is a really nice Blowback CO2 BB Pistol and if you are into the classic BB Replica guns then it is a must have for sure.
This video focuses only on the shooting performance of the Gletcher APS. I test the (FPS) Feet Per Second performance first using my Chronograph to see what the actual real world velocity is and then I take my Gletcher APS Blowback BB pistol out to the 30 foot range and shoot 10 rounds on a paper target from a semi rested position.
So how did the Gletcher APS Stechkin CO2 Blowback BB Pistol do? Pretty decent overall. Gletcher claims around a 400 fps max velocity and got an average 5 shot reading of 394 fps on what I would consider to be a rather cool day (under 10 degree Celsius). I was of course using a brand new CO2 to get optimal results.
When I tested the accuracy for the Gletcher APS Stechkin from my standard semi rested 30 foot position, I got failry typical results for a BB pistol at right around a 2 inch grouping, more than adequate enough for shooting small to medium sized targets around the yard.
The Gletcher APS Stechkin CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is bigger than I thought it would be, you can see this in my Table Top Review where I show it side by side to my 2013 Baikal Makarov BB Pistol. The Gletcher APS weighs in at over 2 pounds and has larger than average grips so small handed shooters may not be comfortable shooting the Gletcher APS. I found the blowback action to have a nice firm snap too it and the trigger pull was long but had a good feel and nice and easy to predict release point.
Overall I found the Gletcher APS Stechkin CO2 Blowback BB Pistol to be a really fun gun to shoot, it felt good in the hand with nice blowback operation, fairly high fps for a blowback gun and decent accuracy.

In terms of FPS performance, the Gletcher NGT Silver CO2 BB Revolver shot right about where I thought it would shoot getting about a 342 fps average 7 shot velocity. Claimed is up to 350 so the NGT hit it's marks in this category even on a rather cool day. I found that the little Gletcher NGT had a pretty loud crack to it and could even feel a small amount of push back with each shot.
I really felt comfortable using the rather old school fixed open post and notch sights, the sliver finish on the white background of the targets I was using did make it a bit tuff to line up but I was able to get a pretty nice close to 2 inch grouping that was very well centered on target. the Gletcher NGT Revolver would be great for knocking pop cans off of fence posts :)
I would definitely recommend the Gletcher NGT CO2 BB Revolver in either silver or black, what ever your preference? Not only is it a real looker but it also has the performance to back it's looks.
I decided to do my Field test of the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle a little different than my standard filed tests. I pretty much already did a similar Field Test for the M1891 during Table Top Review and if I used the same methods for testing I would most definitely have gotten the same results. Which by the way where a 1.75 inch group from a full 17 round magazine shooting from 30 feet back, and an average of 430 feet per second.
As you know, I have been utilizing clay pigeons in many of my shooting videos so I thought, why not have some more fun and set up a bunch of miscellaneous targets at a variety of distances ranging from 30 feet, right up to 80 feet, and see what I can hit shooting the Gletcher M1891 shooting a couple mags of 4.5mm steel BB's.
Model: Gletcher M1891 (Replica of Sawn Off Mosin Nagant "Obrez").
Materials: Metal & plastic.
Weight: 5.7 pounds (2.6kg).
Barrel: 5.5 inches, smooth bore (inner barrel).
Propulsion: CO2.
Action: Bolt - single shot - single action.

Ammunition Capacity: 16 rounds. (I was able to fit 17 rounds in the magazine)
FPS: 394fps (120m/s).
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Gletcher M1891 is single action only, the bolt cycle does most of the work setting up the loading of a BB into the chamber and pre-cocking the bolt spring. The take up is minimal and the release is about medium to light weight. The bolt snaps forward firmly and with a nice clanking sound, you can even feel the weight of it as it moves forward.
Accuracy: I did take the opportunity to do a quick pre-test with my Gletcher M1891. I shot several rounds through my Chronograph and averaged around 430 fps which is a bit higher than the claimed 394. I also shot a couple of magazines at a paper target standing 30 feet back using a semi rested position and was about to get a 1.75 inch 17 round group which is pretty good considering I found it kind of unusual to hold the Gletcher M1891 in this manner. The Gletcher M1891 does take some getting used to since you hold it like a rifle but do not rest it against your shoulder for stability.
Build Quality: The Gletcher M1891 is really well made, you can tell by it's robust weight and how solid the action feels when you draw the bolt back and release it the first time. Everything that would be metal on the real Mosin Nagant is metal on the Gletcher M1891 including the full size dropout magazine that holds both the BB's and CO2. Yes the stock is imitation wood but in some ways it is harder than real wood and may actually hold up better. The finish looks great and I like the silver bolt, as with most electromagnetically coated finishes, the coating is not thick so it will wear off in the high spots fairly easily. Some touch up can solve this problem fairly easily.
Realism: I've never actually put my hands on a real steel Mosin Nagant Rifle but from the photos I viewed online, the Gletcher M1891looks really accurate in terms of being a BB replica. Of course the magazine has been adapted to fit CO2 and BB's but once placed in the gun it is nearly impossible to tell it from a real Mosin Nagant, or I should say a sawn off version of one. The weight of this rifle (5.7 pounds) gives it the feeling of genuineness. The only real giveaway is the imitation wood stock which looks pretty good considering. I have read online that a real Mosin Nagant stock can be adapted to fit the Gletcher M1891 so that would indicate that it is fairly true in size and construction to a real Mosin Nagant Rifle.
Pros:
Very Unique BB gun.
A piece of history you can shoot in your back yard.
Mostly all metal gun.
Nice heavy 5.7 pound weight to it.
Adjustable rear sight, at least for elevation.
Nice single action trigger.
Bolt action feels great and has a firm release.
Full size drop out metal magazine that holds both the BB's and the CO2.
More fps than claimed and decent accuracy, I expect to get lots of shots out of a single CO2 because of the magazine design.
Cons:
Stock is plastic but looks good considering.
No real way to adjust windage and the rear sight does wiggle a bit from side to side which could throw off the aim.
Electromagnetically coated finish may be prone to wear in the high spots.

The Gletcher M1891 is one of the most interesting BB guns I have had the opportunity to review, it has history, it's kind of a pistol and kind of a rifle at the same time and in this sawn off configuration it looks both old school and modern. I could almost see it being used as the perfect zombi gun ;) Getting away from it's unique looks, the Gletcher M1891 performs very well, shooting a respectable 430 fps with accuracy that surprised me since I found it a bit hard to hold at first. There is something very gratifying about having to work a bot or lever or the hammer on a single action revolver that makes each shot just that much more precious! If you're looking for that ultimate eye catcher that people will have to take a second look at than this is the one for you.
