KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol Field Test Review

In this Field Test Shooting Review of the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol I test to see what the actual real world Velocity is and how accurately I can shoot it at a paper target setup 30 feet down range. If you have not already watched my Table Top Review for the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol then make sure to click on the link to see some nice closeup video of it and all the details and specifications laid out for you.

Starting with what the actual velocity of the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol. I made sure to keep the Sea Can and Airgun nice and warm before making this test and I also placed a brand new 12 gram CO2 cartridge in it and went with lead pellets I am guesstimating where around 7 grain so not super heavy or super light, definitely not high velocity alloy pellets. I was a bit shocked that my average fps was no where near the claimed 360 fps. My 5 shot average came to 259 fps with a couple shots even shooting under 200 fps which I through out. Is that good enough for shorter range plinking? I would say so but but way off the claimed 360 fps. Maybe the manufacturers claim was using high velocity light weight alloy pellets?

Next as with all my Field Test Shooting Videos for the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol I performed my accuracy portion of the test and reloaded the 16 round magazine which is actually a dual 8 round rotary magazine you manually switch sides to unload all rounds. My first 8 shots for the most part where decently centered perhaps a bit to the right but the grouping was rather spread out close to a around 5 inches maybe even a bit more. I then rotated the magazine to the other side of fully loaded pellets and this time I had several malfunctions/jams where rounds did not rotate properly therefore getting squished rather than going down the barrel. I have a feeling this is a problem with this specific magazine as I had the same problem during my Velocity test. I even switched to pointed pellets for the accrual test from flat head pellets but it did not seem to help. The best I could do on this day with this gun was to get around a 5-6 inch grouping which is not very good for a pellet shooter at 30 feet out

As I mentioned in the video I only test the guns, I don’t make them and as with any product out there it is possible I got a lemon since it seems to me like only one side of the rotary magazine was giving me the problems with jamming pellets. That said even the side that was more consistent did not shoot a very tight grouping for me. If it was my money to spend and I wanted a 24/7 styled Replica Airgun I would probably go with the blowback CO2 BB version since I had a lot better performance from that pistol with the addition of blowback action and a much lighter single action trigger.

KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Pellet Air Pistol.
Distributer: KWC.
Model: KWC 24/7 TAC NBB Pellet.
Materials: Metal and polymer build.
Weight: 1.76 pounds (799 grams).
Barrel: Rifled steel.
Propulsion: CO2 x1.
Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only.
Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets.
Ammunition Capacity: 16 rounds (2x8).
FPS: 360-370.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol is a bit on the medium to heavy side so it’s not going to make for the best action shooter as it is a double action only shooter when compared to a single action only trigger or a single and double action trigger. As with most double action triggers it is a bit longer and slightly heavy but not unusable, just be prepared to get a little bit of a finger workout.

Accuracy: I have not shot the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol just yet but will be doing so probably next week so stay posted for my Full Field Test Shooting Video for the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol. I expect it to perform well in terms of accuracy and power since there is no blowback operation to have to compensate for. Having a rifled barrel should also help with accuracy! We will see shortly.

Build Quality: The KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol is built as expected just like all the other KWC Airguns. KWC has been making Airguns for a while not just for themselves but for other companies like Umarex, Gletcher, ASG, Crosman and even Sig Sauer and so quality control and durability have to stand up to these manufacturers standards. You will find metal on this gun where it matter. The slide, the full size drop out metal magazine and of course lots of internal parts. The frame, magazine release, trigger and safety are all plastic. I do like the feel of the rubberized grips for sure! Fit and finish is good overall and the fact that this is a fairly simple Airgun design with no blowback action or even a moving slide, so less moving parts means there is less chance for something to go wrong so it should last a while even with a fair amount of use.

Realism: The KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol shares it’s looks with the Taurus 24/7 but is not an exact replica. The trigger guard is a bit different and so is the placement of the controls and even the slide and frame are not exact but very similar. In terms of size, weight and vernal overall design for sure the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol looks a lot like a Real Steel Taurus 24/7 at first glance.

Available at the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Good weight and solid feeling gun. Lots of metal where you need it in the slide, magazine and other internals.

  • All metal full size drop out magazine holds CO2 and 16 pellets.

  • Decent looking replica (but not bang on) of a Taurus 24/7.

  • Not a lot of writing on the gun, very clean looking (Non Ranger version).

  • Recessed barrel helps with look of realism.

  • Fiber Optic front and back sights for easy sight acquisition.

  • Rifled barrel will help with accuracy.

  • Non-blowback operation with increased fps and CO2 efficiency.

  • Rail on top of slide and frame for lots of accessory add on options.

  • Double action trigger is long but not overly heavy so should be OK for action shooting.

Cons:

  • No blowback, slide is fixed and does not move but can be removed with a tool for internal access and cleaning.

  • No single action shooting so may not be the most accurate for slowed down shooting.

  • Sights are not adjustable but you can add an adjustable red dot to it using the rail setup.

  • Hard to tell when out of ammo, have to listen to the sound or count shots.

Comments:

It is nice to see more full size drop out metal magazine Replica Pellet Pistols coming out in the Airgun market just liek the KWC Makarov PM I just reviewed. Generally speaking most are going to be non-blowback but there are a few blowback options. That said a Non-blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol like the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol will typically give you a high velocity and more shots per CO2 and can even be a little bit better in the accuracy department since there is virtually no recoil from them. The KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol is a nice little Taurus 24/7 looking Airgun that has a nice modern look and feel to it. Hopefully it performs well for me during my Field Test Shooting Video I will be making soon for it.

Kimar M85 & Lady K - Webley Tempest - Daisy Powerline 5501 Update

I wanted to make a quick video to showcase a few items I will be reviewing and some of which are also for sale in the Replica Airguns Store.

First off we have a few of the new front firing Kimar Model 85's (Orange Slide) left in Canada. I stated out with 9 and I am not down to 3 so hurry on this one if you want one in Canada. If you are in the US, I also have them for sale in my US Replica Airguns Store in both Black and Nickel.

Next up I just wanted to show you a Kimar Lady K that will show up some time down the road in a video review, this item is now in my personal collection and sorry it is not for sale in either my Canada or US store at this time.

I have had lots of requests to review the Daisy Powerline 5501 and to be honest I have wanted to get this one for some time and even though it is available for sale in our US Replica Airguns Store I have not had the opportunity to pick one up until now so look forward to that review again some time down the road...

Last but not least I wanted to give you a closer look at the new Turkish made high powered Webley Tempest I have available in the Canada Store, these ones shoot as hard as legally possible within our Canada limitation to be classified as uncontrolled firearms and they make  great compact pest control pistols that you can keep handy for when required.

OK, so that's it for now and be sure to watch the full reviews of these guns when I get to them shortly!

Kimar Model 85 8mm P.A.K. Front Firing Blank Pistols for Sale

As most of you Canadian blank enthusiasts are aware, blank guns are next to impossible to find in Canada right now, let alone a brand new blank gun! I have acquired "at substantial cost" 8 brand new Kimar Model 85 8mm P.A.K. Front Firing Blank Pistols that I will sell to the first 8 buyers, I will not be getting any more of these as this was purchased from a suppliers back-stock inventory.

As is with all rare items - they will not be sold cheap, this version also only comes with the orange painted slide which by the way is fairly easy to paint black or strip to a nickel finish. I stripped mine and I didn't even have any paint remover around - I simply used some paint thinner and my dremel for the stubborn areas, followed up with some Autosol metal polish to brighten it up.

The Kimar Mod. 85 Blank Pistol closely resembles the Beretta Cheetah hand gun in looks, and functionality. The Kimar Mod. 85 comes with an 8 round single stack magazine and has an orange painted slide. This model is perfect if you like the look of the Beretta 92 FS but want something just a bit smaller. The Kimar Model 85 comes with a flare adaptor and cleaning rod.
  • 8mm P.A.K blanks
  • 8 round magazine
  • Solid 2 pounds
  • Semi auto
  • Single & double action
  • Front firing!
  • Come with flare adaptor & Cleaning rod

Kimar Mod. K 760 .177 Caliber Spring Piston Break Barrel Rifle Review

Type: Pellet air rifle.

Manufacturer:Kimar.

Model:K 760.

Materials: Metal & plastic.

Weight: About 3+ pounds.

Barrel: 14 inches, metal-rifled.

Propulsion: Spring piston.

Action: Single shot.

Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets.

Ammunition Capacity: 1 round.

FPS: 450.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Kimar Model K 760 is a bit stiff but on a beginner gun I would recommend the trigger to be on the heavy side for safety reasons and also to teach correct trigger control. It did not seem to effect my shooting at all which was nice.

Accuracy: Very good, I was surprised at the tight group I got from a semi rested position and with open sights, I nearly got a 3/4 inch group from 30 feet out which is about the best I can expect from just about any gun I have shot in the same manner. The Kimar Model K 760 spring piston break barrel rifle also shot true to it's claimed feet per second rating and got right around the 450 fps velocity mark.

Build Quality: The Kimar K 760 .177 air rifle is not going to win any prizes for style or craftsmanship but it gets the job done and in about as simple a manner as is required. With that said, what can really go wrong with it?Crank the barrel and pull the trigger. The lack of a safety does not really bother me as I never ever trust a safety and it's always good to learn how to keep a gun safe at all times even when you "believe" it is not loaded or ready to shoot. There is some plastic found on the Kimar K 760 like in the sights and the stock but the mechanical parts are all metal including the trigger.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Inexpensive spring piston rifle.

  • Reasonable quality for the money.

  • Synthetic stock good in all elements.

  • I pump - 1 shot.

  • Decent FPS, could be used on small game with practice.

  • Very good accuracy even with open sights.

  • Adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation.

  • Very compact and easy cocking effort - good for younger shooters.

  • Made in Italy

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Very basic design, no frills.

  • No safety or trigger adjustments.

  • No ability to mount a scope.

Comments:

Coming in at around $50, you can not ask the world from the Kimar Mod. K 760 .177 Caliber Spring Piston Rifle! What you can ask for is for decent accuracy and usable fps, and that's exactly what you are going to get from the Kimar K 760. This break barrel air rifle is really perfect for a beginner shooter on a budget or even for someone who may want to pack it around in some ugly situations where you wouldn't want to subject your high priced top quality air rifle. For the money you really can't lose with this one!

Crosman - Kimar CK92 CO2 Beretta 92FS Pellet Pistol Review

Type: Pellet air pistol.

Manufacturer:Crosman & Kimar.

Model:CK92.

Materials: Mostly metal.

Weight: 2.6 pounds.

Barrel: 4.25 inches, metal rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, single and double action.

Ammunition Type: .177 cal. pellets.

Ammunition Capacity: 8 round rotary magazine.

FPS: 394.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman - Kimar CK92 is absolutely excellent! Single action is very light and smooth and double action is almost exactly the same. The CK92 has one of the lightest and smoothest double action trigers out of all my airguns and that's saying a lot!

Accuracy: I shot the Crosman - Kimar CK92 air pistol at a target from 20 feet away in a free standing position, and it performed well getting about a two inch grouping right close to the center, just to the right. Most of the rounds stayed in a one inch group while two rounds strayed away a bit. I had a very awkward grip due to my camera mount so I know this guns should get closer to a one inch grouping with some getting used to it and using a standard grip. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation so hitting the bullseye would not take much work. My Chronograph testing started out a bit rough due to the 10 year absence of shooting this gun but once I blew out some of the cobwebs it settled in at around the 350 fps mark and I was also able to get 10 magazines worth of shots before I noticed a drop in performance.

Build Quality: The Crosman- Kimar CK92 is built like a tank, it is probably one of my heaviest pellet pistols weighing in at 2.6 pounds! The build quality and craftsmanship is very nice with most of the gun being made out of metal and only a couple parts made from plastic like the grips and part of the rear sight. You can really feel the quality of this gun when you pick it up and squeeze the trigger a few times.

Realism: The CK92 pellet air pistol is a very nice copy of the real steel Beretta 92FS and considering it was made some 10 years ago when most replica air guns still looked mostly like air guns. You really have to give Crosman and Kimar credit for making this gun so close to the actual Beretta 92FS. Everything is exactly where it would normally be on the real Beretta and most of the mechanical part are functional, even if they serve a different purpose as it is an airgun after all.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • The price is right, especially for this condition of collectors item!

  • All metal very heavy and well made gun.

  • Pellet shooting with a rifled barrel.

  • Fully adjustable rear sight with windage and elevation.

  • Decent accuracy and power and CO2 usage.

  • CO2 screw and tab are hidden in the handle.

  • Excellent trigger pull in both single and double action.

  • Very good Beretta 92FS replica.

  • Comes in a plastic case.

  • Rare collectors opportunity.

  • Made in Italy

Cons:

  • Have to use narrow headed CO2, can be a bit tricky to load until you get used to it

  • This is a 10 year old gun and hard to tell how reliable it will be because of its age?

  • When they are gone, they are gone! No more in this kind of shape.

Comments:

This was a very different review for me to do, a part of me wanted to just put my two CK92's away in a safe place and just keep them as collectors guns but I was also very curious to see if the CK92 performed as well as it looked and felt. Curiosity got the best of me as you can see and I am glad I ended up testing at least my Chrome CK92 because it was a real joy to shoot and it didn't let me down in any way. I am not going to recommend the CK92 airgun for anyone who plans to shot it regularly because I really believe that 10 year old valves and seals have a lot more potential to fail then a new airgun and getting replacement part will not be easy for this very fine air pistol. That said, you may get lucky because it's a very well made air gun. Personally I am going to put both my Chrome and Black Crosman - Kimar CK92's in a nice safe place and treasure them like you would anything rare and valuable. I think these guns are selling at a steel of a price right now and when they are all gone I just know people will be offering me several times the price I paid for my personal Chrome and Black Crosman - Kimar CK92's, and I will tell you my answer right now... Sorry, these guns are not for sale.

Crosman - Kimar CK92 Chrome Pellet Pistol Arrives

I received my black Crosman - Kimar CK92 Beretta styled pellet pistol last week and I got my Chrome CK92 today, and wow does it ever look nice! I was kind of shocked by how nice this collector piece looked, my black CK92 looks nice but the chrome version is something else. I'd almost say it looks more like polished metal then a chrome plating and there is a difference. I like the more mechanical look of polished metal personally!

The Chrome CK92 also comes with a really nice hard shell case with cut-outs for the gun which is a bit nicer hard case then the one that comes with the Black CK92. So for the extra $20 it may be worth it for some of you.

The Chrome version is selling as a refurbished unit for $119 and when it's gone that's it. I'm not planning on using this gun all that often, I bought it mainly as a collectors airgun. I will be reviewing both of my Crosman - Kimar CK92's this week so stay tuned for my full video review...

Crosman Kimar CK92 .177 Caliber Pellet Pistols Now Available

Well it took a long time but the Crosman Kimar CK92 .177 caliber pellet pistols finally arrived from the Kimar factory and they are now on sale. The reason it took so long is because each and every one of them was inspected prior to the entire shipment being released. Guess that's a good thing at the end of the day and worth waiting for!

Originally we thought they where going to be brand spanking new but when they arrived the years sitting around in the Kimar factory has aged them just a bit but not like the age of a used gun for sure.

Because of this we have decided to sell them as Refurbished units and as a refurbished unit we have dropped the price just a bit on them and they are now $99 for the black and $119 for the Chrome. We also got less then we expected, I guess some did not pass the tests so we won't have these forever and they may go up near the end.

Just to summaries what the CK92 is:

  • A Crosman and Kimar joint production
  • Originally made from 2000-2001
  • .177 cal. Pellets
  • 8 Round magazine
  • CO2 Powered
  • 394 fps
  • 8.4 Inches long
  • Single and double action
  • Fully adjustable rear sight
  • All metal design
  • 2.6 Pounds (Heavy!)
  • Made in Italy
  • Beretta 92FS Replica
  • Available in Black and Chrome
  • A real collectors item!

Crosman - Kimar CK92 CO2 Beretta Style Pellet Pistol

We have another very interesting Pre-sale item out of Italy again, but this time from Kimar. A while back in 2000-2001, Kimar and Crosman teamed up to make a really nice Beretta 92FS Styled Replica Airgun called the CK92. It basically used a bunch of Crosman internal parts but the bulk of the gun was manufactured in the Kimar (Armi Chiappa) factory.

This gun was not produced after 2001 and so has only been available as a used gun to airgun collectors, that is until now. Somehow a limited amount of these guns where rediscovered (perhaps a time machine was involved?) and we have gotten our hands on some arriving in mid July. Since these CK92's have been sitting around for a while they have all been re-tested and inspected and are ready for sale.

This is an amazing opportunity for any Airgun collector looking to get a brand new Crosman - Kimar CK92. And we even have a few arriving with the Chrome finish - even more rare!

But don't let me stop you if you're not an avid airgun collector, we are pricing these all metal pellet shooting Beretta 92FS replicas to sell fast at our pre-sale pricing of only $119 and $129 respectively. Keep in mind this price will go up $20 once they arrive in our warehouse, if we have any left that is...

Here are some specifications to keep you drooling till they come in:

  • .177 cal. Pellets
  • 8 Round magazine
  • CO2 Powered
  • 394 fps
  • 2.6 Pounds
  • 8.4 Inches long
  • Single and double action
  • Fully adjustable rear sight
  • All metal design
  • Made in Italy
  • Beretta 92FS Replica
  • Available in Black and Chrome
  • A real collectors item!
