Trigger Pull: The Single Action Only trigger pull on the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is exactly as it should be and just like what you would find on a real steel Colt 1911 pistol. That would be short, light and crisp. As there is no double action mode, you are required to rack the slide back to chamber a rounds and cock the hammer for the first shot, afterwards the blowback action will do this for you.
Accuracy: I wasn’t overly impressed with the accuracy of the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol when I tested it out in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Range but it is what it is. The M1911 shot really high and a bit loose getting about a 5 inch 10 shot grouping, perhaps a hop-up adjustment was in order but this is how it shot right out of the box which is how I test all my Airguns. In terms of power the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was bang on shooting .25 gram Airsoft BB’s at right around 350 fps.
Build Quality: The KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol like the other all metal KWC made 1911’s out there being sold under different company names, is a good value Blowback 1911 Airgun no matter which version you get. It’s not the best or worst, right about in the middle but most of the bugs have been worked out since this is one of the longes CO2 1911’s out there and for the most part has stayed about the same. I find the finish does come off a bit easy but when this happens it kind of gives the 1911 Airgun a more realistic and slightly worn in look to it.
Realism: The KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a One to One replica of the real steel M1911 A1 and does a great job at replicating it. You would be hard pressed to see any differences in the Airgun version and the .45 caliber firing version until you pick one up and work the parts a bit, even so pretty much all the mechanical parts work the same as a real steel M1911 A1 including the ability to filed strip the Airgun version and gain access to the hop-up and other internal parts.
Pros:
All metal construction.
Full length blowback action with nice heavy recoil.
Accurate Colt M1911 A1 replica.
Single action only trigger feels good, short light and crips.
Accurate trigger design and working grip safety.
Metal magazine holds the CO2 and 14-15 Airsoft BB’s.
No ugly white writing (warning instructions) on the slide of the gun.

FPS is just about perfect, just over 360 fps using .20 gram BB’s, not too powerful but Canada import friendly.
Cons:
Finish on KWC guns can wear off quickly in the high spots but has gotten better over the years.
Full blowback action will eat up a lot of CO2.
Comments: I have always been a fan of the 1911 pistol and the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is no exception to this. Like all of the KWC 1911’s out there being redistributed by the big airgun companies the KWC version is really no different other than more simple KWC branding and with no licensing on the Airgun to speak of. Some people prefer the cleaner look to it and some will like to have licensed versions, to each their own. Do some looking around on our website and find a KWC made 1911 you like best, perhaps a simple KWC M1911 A1 like the one reviewed here or maybe a more tactical version with all the more modern updates to it like a rail, ambidextrous controls and tactical triggers and hammers.

Last but now least to show you in this update video is the ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1. This product was developed by ASG in cooperation with CZ and is made to give the Airsoft Player the closest shooting experience they can possibly get to handling and shooting a real CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1!
In this Field Test Shooting video I test out the KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol to determine what the real work velocity is and also how well it performs in terms of accuracy. To test velocity I use a my Chrony Chronograph and do my best to get 5 good readings which I then average out. I always use a brand new 12 gram CO2 cartridge and generally use .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's for my entire Field Testing. To test accuracy I set myself up 30 feet back using a semi rested position, to do this I place a sand bag to rest my hand and gun on and then stand securely in the back while I place 10 rounds on a paper target. There is obviously some humane factor involved but I can usually get a good idea on how accurate a given gun is.
During the Velocity or Feet Per Second Chronograph testing, I did manage to get 5 good readings, not all in a row but all within the first 10 or so shots. The KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol shot hard and averaged 420fps again using .20 gram Airsoft BB's.
For my accuracy testing, all 10 shots placed within about 3 inches and they where fairly well centered left to right but did shoot a little bit high, this could be corrected using the hop-up adjustment to bring the Airsoft BB's down just a little.
I was rather surprised at how loud the KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is, it is by far one of the loudest CO2 Pistols I have shot to date other than the Umarex Desert Eagle Pellet Pistol. The KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol also has a lot of blowback kick which makes it a lot of fun to shoot. Don't expect a lot of shots per CO2 since it uses a lot of CO2 per shot but in my books it is worth it for the added blowback recoil.
The KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol may shoot a little bit hot for indoor Airsoft close quarters games but if you plan to use it outdoors at longer ranges it would definitely send Airsoft BB's out to further away targets. You could also pickup a Green Gas Magazine to lower the FPS about 50fps or so which would calm the KJWorks KP-11 down enough for indoor shooting.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWorks KP-11 1911 is very good since it is modeled after a real steel 1911 which makes it short and crisp with a nice light trigger pull. There is a very slight take-up at the very beginning of the pull but once your get past this the release is crisp and predictable. Since it is not a double action trigger you will need to either rack the slide for your first shot or pull the hammer back if you have already chambered a round.
Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the KJWorks KP-11 M1911 Airsoft Pistol so I do not have any definitive feedback for you but based on my experiences shooting other KJWorks 1911 styled Airsoft CO2 Pistols I expect it to have great blowback action recoil, a nice trigger and good overall FPS and accuracy. In terms of reliability, KJWorks pistols are solid in this department.
Build Quality: As expected, the KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol build quality is exactly like all the other KJWorks Airsoft guns I've tested so far, Build quality for the price point is top notch with tolerances between the moving parts like the slide and frame are extremely tight showing excellent workmanship and machining from KJWorks. The finish is always a step above other similar styled Airsoft and BB guns, youn really don't have to worry about the finish coming of as easy.
Realism: The KJWorks CO2 KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 Blowback Airsoft Pistol copies the real steel very popular even today Colt 1911 45 caliber pistol, it can be field stripped very similarly to a real 1911 Semi Auto pistol and all parts function virtually the same including a working safety, grip safety, slide catch-release, magazine release and hammer. This Hi-Capa version has a more tactical look with a wider frame for what would be a double stack hi capacity styled magazine.
Has really good weight but not too heavy since it has a polymer frame..
Expect to have typical KJWorks crisp and firm full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish. I like the mat textured finish which looks to bed super durable.
Nice bright white dot sights, really easy to see.
I like the look of the tactical hammer and trigger.
Nice high capacity magazine with a little extra zing for the CO2 Mag.
Fully field strip-able.

Is not really setup up for left handers with no real ambidextrous components.

I love 1911 pistols and enjoy shooting them, there is something about how they feel in the hand that is different form most other pistols. They always feel so solid. The KJWorks Airsoft versions capture that feeling exactly and again the little bit more you may pay for a KJWorks 1911 over some other lesser quality Full blowback 1911's is worth the cost in my books. This Hi-Capa 1911 version with it's tactical look and finish would make a great game player for sure!

This Field Test Shooting Video Review focuses on the performance results of the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. I put it through its paces to see what kind of velocity it can achieve as compared to the 400 fps Umarex claims on the packaging. I also perform my standard 10 shot accuracy test from 30 feet back to see how this action pistol groups on paper.
My first portion of the test, the feet per second velocity test I performed using my Chronograph shooting five 5.1 grain standard zinc coated steel BB's with a brand new CO2. The fps for the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol ranged a little from 334 to 358 fps with an average 5 shot reading of 348 feet per second. Keep in mind the temperature was not exactly warm on this day, just a little over 10 Degrees Celsius so I was not anticipating top claimed fps readings so hitting about 50 fps under claimed may be a bout right, I know for sure on a hot summer day I can expect better results.
Next up was the accuracy or shooting portion of this field test shooting review, I performed my standard 30 foot back paper target test using a semi rested stance standing in the back with a sandbag up front to rest my hands on for stability. This position is nice and stable but not perfect so there is always some human factor to take into account. Removing one flyer that was rather high, I was able to get a 3.5 inch grouping from my Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol which is what I would consider about average for a blowback BB shooter, not the best but far from the worst I have shot. I am pretty sure I could do a bit better once I got used to the trigger as it does have a lot more take-up than I am use to with a 1911 and the release is a bit firmer.
A couple of observation when shooting the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. I found the trigger to be noticeably longer and heavier than a standard 1911 but at least it is single action and I would say usable once taking a little time to get accustomed to it. The break point is rather deep and the release can catch you off guard but again putting some rounds through the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol will work much of this out. The Blowback action is not overly heavy but certainly enough to give that recoil effect. I would also suggest only placing 15 rounds in the magazine as the load of the follower spring for a full magazine can play a little havoc with the trigger.
All in all this is a nice 1911 Blowback BB pistol option especially if you are looking for a 1991 that shoots a little harder and gets more shot per CO2 than the KWC/Cybergun 1911's since you can expect fps performance in the mid to high 300's and at least an extra magazine worth of shots per CO2 from the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is like the original 1911 semi auto pistol a single action only trigger. That said the Colt M45 CQBP SAO trigger is notably longer than a true 1911 trigger would be but still pretty decent overall. There is a fair bit of take up but once you get to the release point the trigger weight is about a medium pull and should allow for pretty fast action shooting with not too much finger fatigue.
Accuracy: I have not shot this "version" of the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol but I have high expectations that it will get much better fps and CO2 efficiency than the similar looking KWC versions out there. 400 fps for a blowback is pretty good and if it can get about 5-6 magazines worth of shots that would be close to double of what a KWC 1911 blowback gets! In terms of accuracy only time will tell when the weather perk sup here a bit and I can get outside and make some shooting videos...
Build Quality: I am very impressed with the build quality for the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. In many ways it may even be better than the KWC 1911's as it seems to have a much more durable finish and the mechanical parts fit together very snug with virtually no slide wiggle at all. This little rather inexpensive 1911 blowback BB pistol should last you a long time and perform well doing it.
Realism: Up to now I have been almost preferring the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol over the KWC Blowback 1911 series but when it comes to realism the tables turn a little bit in favor of the KWC 1911 version. On first look it is hard to tell them both apart so yes they both look and feel very much like real steel 1911 pistols. Once you get into some more of the mechanical aspects the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol does make some compromises choosing to take away a little bit of the realism in favor of increasing performance. These area are the range of motion of the blowback action. On the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol the slide range is a bit shorter which will save on CO2 usage and the magazine is a stick mag setup which again allows for a more enclosed system again taking advantage of all the CO2 being used. Most of the mechanical parts work as you would expect them to on a real 1911 with the exception of the grip safety. The barrel is even nicely recessed ti make the barrel opening look like a real 45 auto. Lastly the trigger even though it is a true SAO trigger does extend out from the gun a lot more than a true 1911 trigger would.
Build quality and finish seem really good, excellent tolerances.
Nice snappy blowback action with a pretty heavy recoil spring.
Overall Accurate 1911 tactical styled replica in most ways.
Does have a single action only trigger, but is longer than most.
Fully Colt Licensed.
Like the white dot sights, machined hammer, ambidextrous safety and accessory rail.
Cool that the Alan key is built into the handle.
Has a believable recessed barrel.
Finished coating seems to be more durable than the actual KWC versions.

I can never seem to get enough of the Blowback 1911 BB pistols when I have the opportunity to review them. Most of them have been just different reskinned, rebranded and redistributed version of the original KWC 1911 so it was kind of nice to get the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol since it offers that 1911 look with blowback action and from the looks of things it should have improved performance in the shooting department. If you have been after a Blowback 1911 BB pistol but wanted one with some more power and that you can get a decent amount of shots out of a single CO2 then the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol may be just what you are looking for.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Colt Combat Vet Limited Edition 1911 is like all the other KWC made CO2 full blowback 1911's, it's exactly what you would expect from a real 1911 single action only pistol which helps to make this replica 1911 a great trainer. So in other words the trigger pull is super short, super light with very little take-up and a nice crisp break.
Accuracy: I have not shot this "version" of the Umarex - KWC 4.5mm BB 1911 but it will undoubtedly perform exactly like all the others. I can expect decent under 2 inch groupings from 30 feet out and will get a little over 300 fps on a full CO2 cartridges. Depending on how fast I shoot off my magazines, I should expect to get around 3 good mags and if I slow things down a bit I should get a forth magazine so anywhere from 50-70 good or so shots per CO2 out of the Umarex Colt Combat Vet Limited Edition 1911.
Build Quality: Very good, with almost all metal construction, good weight and craftsmanship, the KWC 1911 line of pistols have proven themselves over time and even though some of the original first run units had some CO2 valve issues, this seems to have been fixed over the years. You will find most of these KWC pistols in general have a rather thin coating for a finish and so they tend to wear a bit on the high spots but with this weathered Umarex Colt Combat Vet Limited Edition 1911 that really isn't a concern!
Realism: This is as close as you can come to the look, weight, feel, and action of the real 1911 in virtually almost every way including the ability to field strip this pistol! All the mechanical parts work just like they do on a real steel 1911 including the grip safety. I'm not sure what more you could ask for? The Umarex Colt Combat Vet Limited Edition 1911 even has that real gun wear and tear look to it which in my opinion even adds to the realism.

With the popularity of the KWC - Cybergun 1911 Blowback CO2 Pistols and how super realistic they are in so many ways, it is no surprise that people often ask me if they can replace the original grips with grips made for a real 1911.
The short answer is yes you can! You will have to be prepared to remove just a little bit of material from the backside of both grips near the bottom of the handle where there is an area that has been flared out to accommodate the CO2. Not really a big deal, you can use a Dremel for the quick and easy approach or even some sand paper if you don't mind taking a little more time.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is I would have to say one of the nicest 1911 single action triggers I have tested so far. The take-up is very slight with an extremely light trigger pull required to release the hammer. Any lighter and I would say it would be too light and perhaps prone to accidental firing.The three hole tactical trigger extends out a little further than some 1911's but feels secure on the finger.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol but have high expectations based on the overall quality of this pistol and form other reviews I have read on this Airsoft 1911 replica. According to the manufacturers claimed fps, we should get somewhere right around 300 fps. The ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol has an adjustable rear sight for windage and we can take care of elevation using the adjustable hop-up so zoning in the Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 to shoot dead center on target should not be too difficult.
Build Quality: The ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is one of those Airguns that really catches your eye, and once you pick it up and hold it in your hands you discover that not only does it look really great but it also feels really great in your hands! The tolerances of the parts are excellent, everything mechanical is smooth without any friction and you can even see the texture of the metal grain through the quality matt black powder finish.
Realism: The ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is a a fantastic replica of a real steel MEU SOC 1911 used by the US Marine Corps' Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). The balance and weight really make this 1911 Airsoft pistol feel like your holding the real deal, all the mechanic parts function as they would compared to the original and the ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol is fully field stripable.

With all the BB and Airsoft 1911's out there what makes the ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol stand out from the rest. First off it feel the most believabel when holding it in your hand, it seems ot have that perfect weight and balance that is often hard to replicate in an Airgun. With features like enhanced Pro-Grips with brass marine inserts, MEU SOC 1911 licensing, three hole tactical trigger, ambidextrous safety, super smooth and light single action trigger, White dot adjustable sights and the included hard shell case with lanyard and Gemtech silencer you can not go wrong with the ASG Socom Gear US Marine MEU SOC 1911 GBB Airsoft Pistol.

Here is my follow up Shooting Field Test video for my Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Table Top Review. During this Field Test Shooting video review I shoot 5 rounds of .20 gram Airsoft BB's through my Chronograph to find out the average FPS. I also step back 30 feet and setup my shooting stance by resting my hands on a sand bag and standing in the back for a fairly secure shooting position. As per most of my accuracy tests, I loaded my Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol with 10 rounds in the magazine to see what kind of grouping I could get on the paper target..
I was a bit surprised by the FPS for the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol I tested. The claimed FPS by the factory is 360 using .20 gram BB's, the temperature outside was decently warm and I was using a brand new CO2 so I should have gotten fairly close the this velocity. As it turned out on this day the gun I was testing shot right around 300 FPS which is great for close quarters Airsoft games but perhaps a bit weak for the longer ranges of outside games.

The trigger is pretty typical for a single action 1911 styled trigger which in some cases can actually be a little bit on the light side which with the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was not the case. Over all a really pleasurable Airsoft Pistol to shoot!

It has a short take up and then a nice light and crisp release. The working grip safety is a nice touch requiring your palm to be pressed against it for the trigger and hammer to operate. I also like the Tactical Style Trigger found on the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol, I imagine it should perform well considering it has spin-up up and a fully adjustable rear sight just in case my shooting is off center a bit. According to the manufacturers claimed fps, we should get somewhere in the mid to high 300 fps range using .20 gram Plastic Airsoft BB's.
Build Quality: I am kind of sitting on the fence with the Colt 1911 MKIV Pistol, on one hand it is an all metal gun with what looks to be fairly decent fit and finish but on the other hand it feels kind of light weight especially with the heavy magazine out of it compared to even the KWC 1911's I have reviewed so often. It may be that more aluminum is being used in this pistol which could actually be a good thing since aluminum would be a higher quality metal over your typical zinc alloy used in most Airsoft and Airguns these days. In terms of operation, I feel like some of the mechanical parts need a bit of break in time, but I have found this to be true with many real guns I have used.
Realism: The Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a close replica of the real steel Colt 1911 45 auto but with a more modern Tactical look to it, sporting a Tac style trigger and hammer, double stack magazine, ambidextrous safety and adjustable rear sight. This gun is nearly all metal with very full blowback operation making it feel real to hold in the hand and shoot.

Overall the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is another nice option if you're looking for a Colt Government 1911 Styled Airsoft pistol. Keep in mind this one is Chinese made rather than made in Taiwan. Not sure how that will effect performance and longevity. I have owned Chinese guns that have shot and faired well for me so I am not too worried about it. With its double stack magazine you will find the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV to have a fairly large handle so it may not be suitable for those with smaller hands. I do think the Cybergun Colt 1911 MKIV CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol features a nice combination of classic Government 1911 looks with a few modern tactical components lie the upgraded trigger, hammer, ambidextrous safety and rear adjustable sight.

This First Person Shooting Clay Pigeons Video with my KJWorks M9A1 and 1911 Airsoft Pistol is to serve two purposes: Number one and really the only reason needed to make a video like this... To get outside on a nice warm summer day and practice some tactile shooting all while recording it in first person so you can come along and enjoy it with me :)

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWorks 1911 is very good since it is modeled after a real steel 1911 which makes it short and crisp with a very light trigger pull. There is a very slight take-up at the very beginning of the pull but once your get past this the release is crisp and perceptible. Since it is not a double action trigger you will need to either rack the slide for your first shot or pull the hammer back if you have already chambered a round.
Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the KJWorks 1911 Airsoft Pistol but I did get the chance to make a short preview video where I shot some clay pigeons setup around 20 feet away. The KJWorks Full Metal CO2 Airsoft 1911 was a lot of fun to shoot at the clay pigeons and I had no trouble hitting them form that range over and over again. I am not sure exactly what the FPS will be but considering this version of the KJWorks 1911 has the CO2 mag it should shoot up into the 360+ fps range using .20 gram Airsoft BB's. Build Quality: As expected, the KJWorks 1911 build quality is just like all the other KJWorks Airsoft guns I've tested so far, excellent the fit and finish is the best in my opinion even when compared to any of my 4.5mm steel BB shooters or 6 mm Airsoft pistols. When using KJWorks guns regularly, areas that are painted like the metal friction areas and high spots show very light wear which is rarely the case with metal built blowback Airguns. Again the tolerances between the moving parts like the slide and frame are extremely tight showing excellent workmanship and machining from KJWorks.
Realism: The KJWorks CO2 Full Metal 1911 Blowback Airsoft Pistol copies the real steel very popular even today Colt 1911 A1, it is really hard to tell the KJWorks Airsoft 1911 apart from the real 45 caliber version. The KJWorks 1911 can be field stripped very similarly to a real 1911 Semi Auto pistol and all parts function virtually the same including a working safety, grip safety, slide catch-release, magazine release and hammer.
Pretty much all metal pistol with good realistic weight to it.
Full cycle heavy blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish as always with KJWorks pistols.
High capacity 28 round full size drop out magazine that holds the Airsoft BB’s and CO2. (Can get Green Gas mags)
Seems to be accurate and well centered on target.

I am a big fan of 1911 pistols and love getting my hands on pretty much any version weather it be a Real Steel 45 caliber 1911, a 4.5mm Steel BB version or 6mm Airsoft Pistol. As long as it has that true 1911 single action short light trigger to it. I love the way the slide cycles a bit slower than most semi auto pistols and this can be found in many Airgun and Airsoft version like this KJWorks 1911 making the shooting experience even more realistic. The fit, Finish and overall quality of the KJWorks 1911 over other brands is worth the slight additional costs so if you don't mind paying juts a tad bit more for that extra quality and you're looking for a CO2 1911 then you will not be disappointed with the KJWorks Full Metal CO2 Airsoft 1911.

We recently received some new pistols from KJWorks, The CO2 versions in Full Metal of the Colt 1911, the Berretta M9 and the Berretta M9A1. All of these guns are really well made, the fit and finish is excellent. Definitely a very high quality Airsoft pistol and worth spending a little bit more to get this extra quality. So I made a quick demo preview video where I get away from my table top and go outside to show them off a bit and shoot a few rounds through them at some clay pigeons. I did have some camera issues but you will get a good idea on how these guns look and perform.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Colt Commander CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB Pistol is exactly what you would expect from a true single action 1911 styled pistol. It has a short take up and then a nice light and crisp pull and release. Because of the similar mechanics not only to the trigger but other aspects of this gun, it would make a truly awesome low cost trainer to be used when your real 1911 is not practical and also to save on the high cost of real 45 semi auto shells.
Accuracy: I shot the Umarex Colt Commander BB gun at a target from 30 feet away in a semi rested position, and it performed well getting an 8 shot 1.5 inch grouping very close to the bulls-eye that extended a little larger with three additional rounds that came outside the smaller 8 shot grouping. The sights are non-adjustable even thought they kind of look like they are so it was nice to see that this BB pistol was already dialed in pretty good! My initial Chrony testing puts this gun right in the 300-325 fps range getting a 5 shot average of 306 fps which is just fine for this style of heavy full realistic blowback action BB shooter. The outside temperature was 22 Celsius (72 Fahrenheit) so the Colt Commander should shoot a bit quicker on a warmer day. You can expect to get three good magazines worth of shots with some extra CO2 left over for a potential 4th magazine. If you slow your shooting down and let the gun and CO2 warm up between magazines you can get 4 magazines with this BB gun for sure.
Build Quality: Like the other KWC 1911's, the Umarex Colt Commander version is overall a well built and mechanically sound BB pistol. Tolerances are good and the finish may even be a bit better than what KWC makes for its own non-licensed versions of this very popular 1911 series.
Realism: The Umarex Colt Commander CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB Pistol is as close as you can get to a real steel 1911 styled 45 semi auto but with a slight modern Tactical look to it, the Colt Commander version has the addition of a: Tac style trigger and hammer, and upgraded white dot sights. This gun is nearly all metal with a very heavy blowback action that simulates the more sluggish and delayed blowback of a real steel 1911. And the true 1911 single action trigger will not disappoint you either.
All metal construction - Good weight and solid feeling gun.
Nice heavy blowback action that replicates a 1911 very well.
Very Accurate 1911 replica in terms of looks and mechanical aspects.

Sure the Umarex Colt Commander CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB Pistol is yet another KWC made 1911 but Umarex has really captured the classic 1911 style without taking it too far into the Tactical realm. The addition of the modernized white dot sights, along with the machined trigger and hammer and the chrome barrel and breach give this BB shooting blowback 1911 a well balanced look. If you're looking for a traditional 1911 A1 but with just a few modernized tweaks, then check out the Umarex Colt Commander.

This Field Test Shooting video is not going to have any big surprises but even so I really like shooting these KWC made CO2 Blowback BB 1911 Replicas and the Umarex Colt Commander is no exception.
So let's get right to the test results! I started off by shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph using a brand new CO2 with Umarex 5.1 grain zinc coated 4.5 mm Steel BB's. My 5 shot average velocity was 306 fps and the temperature on this day was fairly average at 22 Celsius (72 Fahrenheit). So on a warmer day you can expect to get a bit higher fps out of the Umarex Colt Commander CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB Pistol.
Moving on to the Target accuracy performance, I shot 10 rounds from the Umarex Colt Commander from 30 feet back using a semi rested position (Sand bag in the front, standing in the back). I was able to place the bulk of the shots within a 1.5 inch group but three came out extending the group somewhat, overall the placement was fairly well centered on target and the white dot sights make sighting the Umarex Colt Commander CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB Pistol really easy on just about any color background.
The single action 1911 type trigger is exactly what you would expect from a 1911, short, light and crisp. The blowback action is solid and like a real 1911 almost has that delayed sluggish feel to it.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWORKS KP-06 is what you would expect from a true 1911 single action only trigger, it has very little take up with a smooth crisp and super light release to it.
Accuracy: I shot the KJWORKS HI-CAPA KP-06 from 30 feet out in semi rested position and got very good test results. I was able to place 10 rounds in the 2 inch range with most of the shots being very well centered (sights can be adjusted for windage and elevation if need be). The KJWORKS HP-06 1911 styled HI-CAPA Airsoft Replica shot right around 331 fps range on this mid temperature day while conducting my 5 shot average chronograph test. The blowback recoil is very heavy heavy due to the large full length blowback slide and the green fiber optic sights are a joy to use.
Build Quality: As expected, the KJWORKS KP-06 build quality is just like all the other KJWORKS Airsoft guns I've tested so far, excellent the fit and finish is the best in my opinion even when compared to my my 4.5mm steel BB shooters. Realism: The KJWORKS KP-06 6mm Airsoft Pistol is a replica of a Tactical High Capacity styled 1911 45 Auto and is a great looking and functioning replica. You will not find any actual licensing on this pistol and the CO2 magazine does stick out a bit to accommodate the 12 gram CO2 but other than that this Airsoft pistol looks and works near exactly like a real 1911 tactical semi auto and is fully field strip-able.
Pretty much all metal pistol with good weight to it.

Very accuracy and well centered on target.

The KJWorks KP-06 1911 HI-CAPA is another excellent full blowback Airsoft pistol from KJWorks. It is a rather large Airsoft pistol, overall wider, longer and thicker than a standard 1911 so small hands may not be suited to this pistol but if you can manage the KJWorks KP-06, you will be treated with a very responsive and highly reliable Airsoft gun. I really like the updated more tactical add ons like the super long tactical lower rail, machined trigger and hammer, fiber optic adjustable sights, textured grips and ambidextrous safety. The quality on all KJWorks Airsoft guns is top notch so yes they do cost a bit more but you really do get what you pay for here, the KJWorks HI-CAPA KP-06 will look good and perform well for a very long time so your return on investment is well worth it!

One company I took notice of was Inokatsu, they make super high quality Airsoft guns. I was drawn to their Sig Sauer P229 and 1911 pistols that by the way are made out of real steel and as close to the real version as possible without it being a real gun. The Inokatsu pistols I looked at are not cheap and will set you back over a grand but are as close as you can get to a real sidearm as possible in an Airsoft version. They feel amazing to shoot with heavy blowback and that sound real steel makes when the slide snaps back.
