Yet another Mystery box with good stuff inside for me to discover and checkout and share with everyone! In this Replica Airguns August 2025 Mystery Box Video I reviewed three products from Umarex, and all of them are some sort of BB gun related product, one pistol, one revolver and one rifle and interestingly not all are CO2, as one is AEG powered which is more or less a new thing with steel BB guns. Barra introduced their 400e AEG AR Steel BB Rifle a while back and now Umarex has their own version of a similar AEG BB rifle in a sightly more true AR platform called the Umarex AER16.
The Umarex Marlin CO2 BB Revolver is really just a Marline licensed version of their Marshal CO2 BB Revolver but it us $50 less so unless you really want the Marshal licensing then go for the newer Marline version. Another Umarex product out of this months Mystery Box was the Umarex DS11 1911 NBB CO2 BB Pistol which is a pretty basic almost all plastic NBB CO2 BB Tactical 1911 that uses the standard metal BB Stick magazines. It does however look a lot better than most of these simple NBB Plastic BB Pistols on the market so in terms of looks it has that going for it for sure.
I took the Umarex Combat Zone Enforcer CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol out for some testing today to see how it performs in action. I’ve already put together a detailed tabletop review a while back covering all the specs, build quality, pros, and cons, so if you’re after the close-up details you can check that out separately. For this session, I wanted to focus only on performance—running it over the chronograph to measure velocity and then shooting a 10-round group at 30 feet to check accuracy in a more practical setup.
For the chronograph test, I used a new 12-gram CO2 cartridge paired with standard 0.25-gram BBs, and the weather was sitting at about 24°C (75°F). Across five shots, the readings came in at 327, 330, 330, 323, and 321 fps, averaging out to 326 fps. That’s a solid number for a non-blowback pistol running slightly heavier BBs, and if you were to switch down to .20-gram BBs, you’d likely see a noticeable increase in velocity.
When it came to accuracy, I shot from 30 feet in a semi-rested stance, bracing my hands against a sandbag while seated. The Umarex Combat Zone Enforcer CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol grouped right around 2.5 inches, which is respectable for its category. Straight out of the box, with fixed sights that can’t be adjusted, it landed shots centered left to right and just a touch low. Since there’s no hop-up built in, you’ll need to adjust your point of aim or consider adding a laser if you want a more refined zero.
All in all, the Umarex Combat Zone Enforcer CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol performed about as expected. Velocity was a little lower than I had initially hoped, but that comes down to using .25-gram BBs, which naturally slow things down a bit. Accuracy was solid for an entry-level pistol, and while the double-action trigger is on the heavier side, it breaks cleanly and predictably once you get used to it. It’s not really designed for rapid-fire action shooting, but if you’re looking for a budget-friendly sidearm that works reliably and allows you to carry multiple compact, affordable magazines, the Enforcer is definitely up to the task.
I finally got my hands on the new Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol that was introduced at this years SHOT Show, and I have already made my Table Top Review Video so make sure to watch that video for information on specifications, details, Pro’s and Con’s and more close up video… In this Field test Shooting video I focus on the performance of the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol by testing the velocity out with my Chronograph, and I also shoot 10 rounds into a paper target setup 30 feet down range to see what the real world velocity and accuracy truly is.
Starting off with the Velocity portion the test, as always I use a brand new 12 gram CO2 along with standard 5.1 grain Steel BB’s. Temperature for the record was about 22 degrees Celsius or 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Here are the result of my multi shot Chronograph testing as it seemed to keep shooting faster and fast so I ended up using the last 5 shots for my average: 354, 349, 348, 343, 344 fps with an average of 348 fps. That was fairly close but just a bit under the 370 claimed fps. Warmer temperatures could for sure get this Blowback Airgun up to the slightly higher claimed fps.
Next I shot 10 rounds into a fresh paper target 30 feet down range using a semi-rested shooting position, with my hands resting on a sand bag up front, and sitting on a comfortable stool in the back, for somewhat stable shooting. There is always going to be a bit of human factor involved, but I seemed steady on this day, and I did get a nice result for a Blowback CO2 Air Pistol. The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol shot good for me out of the box. The grouping spread out about 2 inches total well center up and down, just a hair above the bullseye but did wonder off to the left a little bit. Still a very good result for a blowback Airgun.
I was very pleased with the performance of the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. It had a lot more blowback action than I was expecting as the slide spring did feel kind of lazy to me when releasing it at first. The velocity was close to the mark and for sure as claimed in a warmer environment, and the accuracy was as good as you are going to get with a blowback BB Pistol. I didn't even mind the double action trigger at all as the first portion of the trigger is very light with almost no friction and even the release is not very heavy but for sure heavier than a true Single Action Trigger. I also like that you are going to get a lot more magazines worth of shots from a single CO2 out of the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with it’s semi blowback action and magazine design that seals off the BB into the breach area of the barrel. If you are OK with a DO trigger on a Glock, then I would suggest you chose the Glock 17 MOS Semi Blowback over the Glock 19 MOS Full Blowback simply for the higher fps, better CO2 efficiency and slightly improved accuracy.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is very similar in most ways to a real steel Glock Pistol with the blowback action, which does engage the striker alleviating some of the trigger pull to some degree. That said the trigger is more like a double action trigger in terms of weight and length, as the trigger pull is used to shuttle a BB into the breach, which does require additional trigger length and weight making it more like a double action trigger at the end of the day. The blowback action on this version is not full, but rather partial, so it does not go back as far as the real steel slide would go. The chambering of BB’s and the partial blowback design has an upside allowing for a higher velocity and more shots per CO2.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol, so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FPS which is around 370. As mentioned earlier, the partial blowback action and the way the magazine seals the BB in the breach helps to increase the FPS to something a lot closer to what a non-blowback BB pistol generally offers in velocity. In terms of accuracy I will have to make my Field Test Shooting Video first before I know for sure, but generally a CO2 Blowback BB Pistol like this will get around a 4 inch grouping based on past similar shooting tests.
Build Quality: Being Glock licensed via Umarex, the, Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol has to be made with Glocks high quality standards in mind. I am not 100% sure who actually makes this Airgun, as Umarex is not so much a manufacturer of Airguns, but more of a distribution and licensing company. I am pretty sure that KWC is making this Airgun for Umarex and KWC has for sure improved their quality over time in terms of fit and finish, so I am happy to say that the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is a really well built Airgun.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol absolutely has most of everything you would want in a Replica Airgun, like blowback action, a working slide catch release, trigger safety, magazine release, and full size drop out metal magazine. Its shortcomings would be that you can not easily field strip its and it does have a trigger closer to a double action only rather than the Glock short and very light single action trigger. I can overlook this because it is very well priced and has a nice high velocity along with a lot of shots per CO2.
Pros:
Good weight and feel to it, build quality seems excellent.
Really nice looking and full featured replica of the original Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS.
Fully Glock licensed via Umarex.
Easy to see white dot sights front and back.
Recessed barrel for added realism.

Not an overly heavy DOA feeling trigger as the blowback pre-cocks the internal hammer/striker but the trigger does move a BB into the breach area.
Because of partial blowback action and magazine design, it has a higher fps and you get a lot more shots than a similar full blowback Airgun.
Working trigger safety like the real steel version.
Cons:
Trigger is more like a DOA trigger which is longer and heavier than a real steel Glock, but not bad.
Sights are non-adjustable which is common with low cost airguns like this one.
Blowback action is not full so not as heavy of a recoil feel as a full blowback Airgun.

I was excited when I first saw the Glock 17 and 19 Gen 5 MOS 4.5mm Steel BB Blowback Airguns at SHOT Show this year, and I have been really looking forward to getting my hands on both of them. They both look and feel just as good as they did at SHOT Show, and now all I need to do is test them out and see how they both perform in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range. I know the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is for sure going to have a lot more power over the Umarex Glock 19, but the full blowback action of the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS may take a win over power from the Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS. It may come down to which one is more accurate? I will have to wait and see so keep watching to find out who the winner is in my books.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is very similar to a real steel Glock Pistol as the full blowback action allows for a true single action only trigger and it has similar take-up, weight and release which makes this the perfect trainer if you own a similar Glock. Even the trigger safety is functional and not just for show.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FP2 which is around 290. That may seem on the low side for a 4.5 BB Pistol even for a blowback Airgun. This is because the blowback is a true full blowback similar to what you commonly find with Airsoft Blowback Airguns This is not a super efficient design as much of the CO2 usage goes to cycling the action of the slide so less is allocated to going down the barrel and propelling the Steel BB. This type of system also uses more CO2 per shot so it will use up CO2 fast.
Build Quality: TheUmarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pisto being a licensed Glock Pistol means it has to conform to Glocks high standard so it is made very well with excellent fit and finish. Like there real steel version the slide is metal and the frame is a polymer, of course there are other metal components throughout like the magazine, inner and outer barrel, slide catch release and many of the internal parts.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol absolutely looks the part of a Glock 19 MOS. When sitting on the table and even holding it in your hand, you are going to think it's the real deal until of course you drop the magazine and see that it is a CO2 mag. Mostly everything operates like a real Glock 19 MOS and because it is full blowback the slide cycles all the way back and forth and the slide spring is nice and heavy so there is no lag to it, it does not have the clanky metallic sound a lot of CO2 Blowback pistols have which adds even further to the realism. You can even fully feel strip this version just lie a real Glock 19 MOS.
Pros:
Ultra realistic Replica in looks and function.

Essentially the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pisto is built very much like an Airsoft Full Blowback Airgun but it just shoots 4.5mm Steel BB’s rather than 6mm Airsoft BB’s which some people prefer if you are not so much into Airsoft games. Along with being full blowback the MOS system allows for adding a red dot to the rear of the slide so this gives you even more option when adding accessories to the Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. I am pretty sure this one is going to be my favorite Umarex Glock but I’ll know for sure after I Field Test it!
I also got a few accessor items from a company called GEAR STOCK, Some CO2 in 12 and 88 gram along with some 6mm aluminum Airsoft BB’s. A very cool rechargeable red and green laser that comes in a nice hard shell case and it has a picatinny rail on the bottom she you can stack a second accessory under it.

In this Unboxing Video I checkout a mid sized mystery box and find some new products inside that I will be making future Table Top and Field Test Shooting Videos for. In this Unboxing Preview Video I mainly talk a look at each item mostly for the fist time and I go over some of the basics for each of them. IN my upcoming full review videos I will go way more into detail so make sure to watch those videos when they come out.
So what did I get in this months box of goodies? The first item I unpacked was the KJWorks 1911-TBC CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol. A firmly traditional 1911 with a single stack magazine configuration at least in terms of external size. I am pretty sure the actual Airsoft BB’s will stack side by side to some degre as it does hold 24 rounds. It also comes with a barrel extension and the ability to add a much suppresser to it to cover the barrel extension I would imagine. It is also available in an OD green receiver version.
The next item I grabbed from the box was the NcSTAR FlipDot Mod. 02 Flip-up Red Dot Sight specifically designed with a MOS compatible mounting plate for Glock Pistols like the new Umarex Glocks I checked out at this years SHOT Show. You can mount this compact Flip-up Red Dot sight directly to the slide of these new Glocks and it also comes with some adaptor plate option for attaching it to a Picatinny Rail.
The next item I took a look at was the Umarex Combat Zone Enforcer Airsoft Pistol. A low cost adn simplistic mostly plastic CO2 powered lightweight Airgun with an all metal 15 round stick magazine and a 400 fps claimed velocity. It’s not going to be the most exciting Airgun but there is very little to go wrong and being so light weight makes it super durable in the even of a drop or fall.
Last but perhaps the oust interesting item that came in this months mystery box was the G&G ARP9 3.0P AEG Airsoft Rifle. I kind of butchered the name but I do talk a pretty good look at it in they video. The G&G ARP9 3.0P is a compact AEG Rifle (at least with the stock folded out). It has a unique magazine where the Airsoft BB’s load into 4 separate channels, I am assuming this helps to get more ammo in the magazine (300 rounds) and make it smoother so hopefully less or no jamming. The G&G ARP9 3.0P feels solid in the hand and well made, it also has a claimed velocity of 370 fps which is perfect.

This is part 2 of my 2 part Field Test for the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Rubber Ball Less Lethal Pistol. In this video (Part 2), I test out 2.7 gram rubber/steel balls (metal core) to find out what the velocity and accuracy is along with the overall joules energy rating. Umarex claims around 11 joules using the 1.6 gram standard rubber balls, I do expect less velocity and possibly less energy downrange with the heavier 2.7 gram ammunition. While I test out the velocity with my Chronograph, I also aim at a paper target setup 30 feet away to see just how accurate this ammo type is, and hopefully I get all 4 of the max rounds close to where I am aiming on the target.
Starting with velocity or power, I was hoping to get into the 250+ fps so I could get somewhere near the claimed 11 joules, but the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol shot more in the higher 100’s resulting in a three shot average of 176 fps. I did chronograph all 4 shots and they were somewhat close in velocity to each other: 159, 187, 176, 180 fps. Even then the average Joules was only around 4 which is a pretty far off the claimed 11 joules and even less than the 5 Joules I got using the standard all rubber 2.6 gram rubber balls. I did use a brand new CO2 and it was not exactly cold in my testing environment so I am too sure what caused the lower results from both ammo types?
While I was recording the velocity I was simultaneously recording the same 4 shots on the target and I did mange to get all 4 shots on my 8x11 paper target fairly well centered with a grouping with three of the 4 shots all within about 2.5 inches of each other adn very well center to the bullseye. One shot did hit a bit lower extending the group to around 5 inches. If this was an intruder I would have for sure been able to hit them easily at 30 feet away all within their main torso area. So in terms of accuracy with both ammo types, the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol was competent when using both the standard rubber balls and the rubber/steel balls I used in this review.
As mentioned in video 1 of this 2 part series, I do like the smaller size of the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol over the non-compact version but it does seem to be down significantly on power as compared to its larger brother adn this was the case using both ammo types. I am not sure if it would be a good deterrent based on the power output I got in my Field Tests. I am sure it would not want to be on the receiving end of this Less Lethal Pistol, perhaps it the intended vital was not wearing any thick clothing it would deter them but even a light jacket would probably stop most of the impact. Maybe at close range some head and face shots would get the job done, but in the heat of the moment I would not count on being able to make those type of consistent shots. My advice is if you want to use the the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Rubber Ball Less Lethal Pistol as intended, then go with the non compact version as it does hit the claimed power rating and then some.

In this Field Test Shooting video for the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle, I test it out to see what to expect in terms of velocity in fps by shooting several rounds through my Chronograph and averaging them out. I also shot the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle both in semi and full auto on a paper target setup 30 feet away to see if I can get a decent grouping in both semi and full auto. Starting with power and velocity, I loaded up the magazine with as much gas as I could get into it, along with enough .20 gram Airsoft BB’s to average out at least 5 shots. I ended up using 6 shots in total for an average of 393 fps. Each individual shot was as follows… 427, 383, 368, 410, 406, 363 FPS. The temperature in the Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range was around 20 degree Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit, so not overly warm or cool, In cooler or warmer temperatures the velocity will go up and down a little bit.
Moving on to accuracy, I first performed my test with the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle in semi auto to see what kind of 10 shot grouping I could get. I did not make any sight adjustments and just shot it right out of the box. My standard test is from 30 feet out shooting using a seated position in the back with my hands on a sand bag up front, this allows for a fairly stable shooting position. I did up the weight of my Airsoft BB’s to .25 grams which can help a little bit with accuracy, but I would suggest going even heavier with this Airsoft Rifle, perhaps try out .30 gram Airsoft BB’s. That said I was able to get a 3 inch 10 shot grouping that shot several inches below the bullseye I was aiming at, and just slightly to the left but not by much. I then switched over to full auto and probably should have aimed higher since this Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle really kicks and moves around. Unfortunately most of my full auto shots went low and did not record on the paper so it is hard to say what the spread of the group was in Full Auto but I know it did open up a lot.
I really enjoy shooting and testing out Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifles since most are generally AEG and don’t have all the recoil and blowback action. GBB Airsoft Rifles not only look and feel much more real, that blowback action simulates the trigger feel and shooting experience so much more. Compared to an AEG velocity is less consistent not only between shots but as you shoot the gas cools down the Airgun resulting in slower and slower velocity which is even more noticeable in full auto when using a GBB Airsoft Rifle. I would personally use the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle mostly in semi auto as it shot very reliably in semi auto, full auto is a bit chaotic and your accuracy really suffers in full auto. The Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle is about as realistic as you can get to experiencing a real steel AR type Rifle but it is fairly expensive at the end of the day and in terms of perforce you will get more out of even a middle of the road AEG Airsoft Rifle. So if realism is more important than performance and lower cost, I would go with something like the Umarex HK 416 A4 GBB Airsoft Rifle.
In this Mystery Box Unboxing Video I take a look at three Airsoft products, two pistols from Umarex and two AEG Airsoft Rifles from Specna Arms. As this is essentially an Unboxing Preview Video, I don’t go into a lot of detail for each item as this is my first real exposure to these items for the most part. Starting with the Umarex products, I did get the chance to checkout the Umarex Smith & Wesson 629 CO2 Airsoft Revolver at this years SHOT Show, and it is a very solid shell loading 44 Magnum styled Revolver with full Smith and Wesson licensing. From what I remember this item may only come in the Airsoft version at the time of this review and it does have a claimed velocity of 500 which may be a bit hot for Airsoft games but it would be a lot of fun shooting at pop cans and the likes.
The second Umarex products is a pretty basic mostly clear plastic Spring Powered Beretta 92 FS Airsoft Pistol. It is fairly light weight with it’s mostly all plastic construction and the velocity is also on the lower side at only around 250 fps. Since it is distributed by Umarex it carries the Beretta licensing which is nice and all, but on a clear plastic gun I am not sure if is really a major feature.
The first Airsoft Rifle out of the Mystery Box was the Specna Arms SA-FX11 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle which is your standard AR configuration, mine was the shorter barrel version but it does come in a longer barrel version as well. The top and bottom receiver and most of the outer components are going to be Nylon Fiber Reinforced Plastic. It does include features like Rotational Hop Up Chamber, SA ETU™ Optical Electronic System Optimizes for improved trigger response and Quick Spring Change System to name a few.
Something I don’t see too often are Pink Assault Rifles! So it was nice to get the pink version of the Specna Arms SA-FX02 FLEX AEG Airsoft Rifle. It does come in a Black and Tan version along with an all Black configuration. It’s really a great looking AEG Airsoft Rifle in any color you decide to go with, and I like the compact feel it has with lots of options for mounting accessories on the top bottom and side rails. You can get going right away using the included pop-up front and rear sights or throw a red dot or optical sight on it.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Mark from Umarex again at SHOT Show 2025 and Mark went over some of the new products from Umarex coming out this year. Make started of by showing me two new MOS (Modular Optic System) Gen 5 Glocks in a Glock 17 and Glock 19 versions. Both come with Umarex based red dot sights but you can change them up for something different if you choose to down the road. We then took a look at the new Umarex AER16 AR AEG Rifle in 4.5mm Steel BB rather than 6mm Airsoft similar to the Barra e400 that came out last year. In a nutshell it is a battery/spring operated 4.5mm Steel BB Full Auto AR Replica. Mark then showed us some A&L AK based AEG Airsoft Rifles they are now distributing that feature Full steel body construction with high-quality real laminated wood handguard and skeletal folding stocks. These are one to one in terms of size and weight adn very detailed. We then finished up the interview taking a look at the Legends Saddle Lever Action Shell Loading Rifle and the Umarex Smith & Wesson Competitor Shell Loading revolver.
I’m back from SHOT Show 2025 Las Vegas and finished transferring and uploading all the video from all the cameras we shot it all on. Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is double action only but not overly long or heavy. There does not seem to be any ammo friction which is nice, so each round feels about the same with spring tension not playing much of a factor. In order to use the trigger, the Pistol will need to be fully charged by loading an 8 gram CO2 and giving it a smack on the bottom of the pistol grip of the CO2 screw. This will pierce the 8 gram CO2, charging the gun with pressure and activation the trigger mechanism. When the CO2 pressure becomes too low, the pressure indicator will retract and the trigger will not function and a new CO2 will be required for more shooting.
Accuracy: So far I have not tried out the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Shooting Range, I have shot its big brother the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 and it did shoot around a 6 inch 6 shot grouping for me with a velocity of around 450 fps that worked out to around a 15 joule energy rating. I do not expect the same from the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol as it is claimed with a lower velocity of 365 and an energy rating of 11 joules. It should get pretty close to this based on it’s bigger brother’s performance.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is very good overall. It is mostly made out of plastic which is fine, since it is designed to be a compact and portable pistol which should be on the lighter side. There is metal where it needs to be in most of the mechanical areas including the barrel, trigger, charging system and I am sure other internal parts. The plastic parts feel well made and fit and finish is very good. I wish the trigger guard that swings down to load the ammo clicked back into place better as it seems easy for it to open up and potentially get caught on clothing or objects while using it.
Realism: This version of the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol comes with the orange slide area to show that it is not a lethal firearm. It may also come in an all black version but at this time we only sell the colored slide version. This does make it obvious that the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is not a “Real Firearm” designed for lethal encounters, which in Canada is a good thing since our self protection laws seem to favor the criminal more than the victim. Making sure you are using a tool designed to deter a criminal rather than harm or kill them, is hopefully going to keep you out of trouble with the legal system. That said the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol does look kinda like a modern or futuristic semi auto pistol and functions much the same but with a lot less force.
Pros:
Not many options for a true less-lethal option here in Canada. This Airgun is purpose built for less lethal use so it has what I believe a decent amount power to hopefully deter an intruder.
It is clearly marked in orange to indicate it is not an actual lethal firearm. When protecting yourself in Canada you have to be cautious with your intentions, and having clear orange markings will help in your case to show that you where not trying to give the impression of using a real firearm.
Decent power of claimed 365 fps with a 11 Joules energy rating.
Can store the 8 gram CO2 in it and activate with a quick hit to the bottom of the CO2 screw.
Holds 4 rounds in the internal magazine which hopefully gets the job done. Should be able to reload at least one more time for a total of 8 shots per 8 gram CO2.
Black post front and orange notch rear sights have enough contrast to make sighting on most targets stand out.
Double action trigger feels smooth and not too heavy, also has a trigger safety on it.
Comes with 10 rubber and 10 powder balls along with three 8 gram CO2 to get you started.
Compact size is nice if you want to cary it with you, (law permitting).

I really liked the big full size brother of the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol and it did turn out to not only be fairly accurate but also performed well in the power category, coming in even a bit higher than the claimed 13 joules of energy with a real world rating for me of 15 joules using standard .50 caliber rubber balls. So I am hoping the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol with its 365 fps rating and 11 claimed joules will at least hit the mark. Yes it is a bit less powerful but it is also a lot smaller and more compact if you where interest in conceal caring it. Again law permitting in your area! Stay posted for my Field Test Shooting Video where I will find out if the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Compact CO2 Less Lethal Pistol performs as expected.

Todays video is all about “damage”! How much damage can each of these .50 caliber ball options deliver to an object and the object of interest in todays video are a couple of over rip pumpkins that needed putting out of their misery. Luckily when I made this video the weather outside was cooperating with me and I go tI nice break in the rain. This was awesome as I was not looking forward to al the cleanup I would of had to of done if I performed this test inside the Replica Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range.
This is part three of my three part Indoor Filed Test Shooting Video for the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol. In this third video I test out the velocity and energy shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph using the 8 gram All Steel Balls that I purchased on my own to test with this Less Lethal Pistol. I also shoot 5 rounds of the same All Steel Balls into a paper target setup 30 feet down range to get an idea on what to expect accuracy wise with the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol. I have already uploaded Field Test Shooting Videos one and two where I test out 1.6 gram All Rubber Balls and 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls. Umarex claims a max velocity of 485 fps with an energy rating of 13 Joules with the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol when using their supplied ammo. I am assuming this would be using the Powder Balls as they are the lightest option of Ammo that are included in the box with this pistol and will have the highest velcoity. In my Chronograph testing I shot 5 rounds using the 8 gram All Steel balls. The velocity for the 8 gram All Steel Balls was much slower than the 1.6 gram All Rubber Balls and 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls as expected, but they did stay fairly consistent ranging from a low of 132 fps to a high of 151 fps, averaging 138 fps. The overall energy rating ended up being the slowest by far out of all the rounds I tested in this Less Lethal Pistol, with an energy rating of only 7 Joules. Based on energy alone I would suggest using the All Rubber Balls as they achieved the highest energy rating at 15 Joules, even higher than claimed by Umarex.
Now that we understand that the 8 gram All Steel .50 Caliber All Steel Balls are not only the lowest velocity by a long shot, they also have the lowest energy rating again by a lot as compared to the other rounds tested. Maybe when I compare the accuracy during my target Test the .50 Caliber All Reel Rounds may redeem themselves. After Shooting 5 of the 8 Gram All Steel Rounds into my Paper Target from a distance of 30 feet, I did actually get the tightest grouping, even with a heavily fading CO2 that was near it’s end, so velocity did taper off making the shots shoot lower and lower with each shot. I did throw the final 5th shot out as I could literally see it loft to the target but even with the low CO2 and inconsistent velocity, I got my best grouping from the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol with a 3 inch grouping just slightly to the left of the bullseye but very close.
I was not surprised with the performance of the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol using the 8 gram All Steel Balls for this third Field Test. Velocity was much lower as expected than the other lighter rounds tested, but most surprising, the energy was around half of the All Rubber Balls. Perhaps the metal rounds just did not reach their maximum speed in such a short barrel due to them being a so much heavier weight? My conclusion on Ammo choice for the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol would be to go with either the All Rubber Balls or the Rubber Steel Balls. The All Rubber Balls by far had the highest velocity and energy rating but I did feel like the Rubber Steel Balls even though they where moving slower and had slightly less energy, seemed to hit the target with the most force based on the sound I was hearing while performing the testing. Either round will for sure make an intruder think twice about continuing their course of bad behavior. I will probably do some testing on how each of these rounds effects different targets in the future, I just need to figure out what I want to shoot at…

The main point to this ammo comparison video is to finds out not only if the heavier 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls will have around the same energy as the lighter 1.6 gram all Rubber Balls, but also to see if they have similar accuracy. In terms of accuracy the 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls did just a little bit better than the 1.6 gram all Rubber Balls, not by a lot but, by about 1 inch with a 5 round grouping of 5 inches. All 5 shots were well entered shooting just a bit high of my aim point by about 3 inches but in general well centered left to right as a grouping.
I was happy with the performance of the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol using the 2.7 gram Rubber/Steel Balls for this second Field Test. Energy was very close to the claimed 13 Joules and the average 304 fps I got with this ammo felt snappy and got to the target quickly and sounded like they really hit hard. I do like the higher 15 Joules and 450 fps I got from the lighter 1.6 gram all Rubber Balls, so at this point I would probably recommend sticking with them for the most power and energy down range. Next up I test out the 8 gram all Steel Balls to find out if they are even an option or if they are simply juts to heavy for the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol.

I did throwout the first shot as it was about 50 fps lower than the rest, perhaps as it was first out of the barrel which can happen. The other 4 rounds averaged 445 fps with an overall energy rating of 15 Joules, so a bit slow in fps than claimed by Umarex but a higher energy output. Perhaps the fps rating was for lighter rounds like the included 10 powder balls? Still an excellent result with more raw energy than expected which is great for a system designed to deter an intruder!
What good is power if you can not hit the target? That’s why I always test out accuracy as you want your gun to shoot where you point it. With Rubber Balls they tend to “wing” or “curl” a bit in the air which does spread out the groupings a bit over a BB or even Airsoft gun, so I was not expecting under a 2 inch grouping. My goal was to hit the target fairly centered with around a 6 inch grouping and the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol did exactly that for me, so mission accomplished. I also wanted to find out how many shots to expect from a fresh 12 gram CO2 and my results showed around 20 shots, so you can reload the internal magazine around 4 times before the trigger stops working, which is how you know the CO2 pressure is not adequate enough to shoot any more rounds.
I was very happy with the performance of the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol using the included 1.6 gram All Rubber Balls for this Field Test. Energy was even 2 Joules higher than claimed by Umarex, and I did not have a single malfunction with this pistol through my testing of all types of ammo I used in videos 1, 2 and 3. I would say the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is your best option as a Less Lethal Pistol here in Canada. Will it stop a very determined intruder? Maybe not, but I would feel a little bit safer with the Umarex T4E P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol at my side than not having it at all. And a couple well aimed rounds to some soft tissue will for sure make someone reconsider some of their life choices. Stay posted for videos two and three coming out shortly…

Accuracy seems to be as expected from a Paintball type pistol, so I am expecting to get around a 4-6 inch 6 shot grouping at 30 feet away which will be effective in a Less Lethal encounter.

The plastic parts feel well made and fit and finish is very good. The Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol does have more than enough weight at 1.5 pounds to feel solid in the hand.

The Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is a very refreshing product for us here in Canada as up until now similar styled Rubber Ball purpose built self defense products we have been able to get, in my opinion simply did not have enough power to really be effective other than the initial intimidation of holding what looks like a firearm. If it came down to actually shooting it, I don’t believe there would be enough stopping power to deter an intruder. The Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol on the other hand has a 485 fps, 13 Joules power rating which is a rather big jump from other similar products available to us here in Canada and although it may not stop everyone, I do believe you have a much better chance protecting yourself with the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol. If you are looking for something to have at home to help you feel a bit safer, then the Umarex P2P HDP 50 Gen 2 CO2 Less Lethal Pistol is the absolute best option for Canadians at this time.
